Why So Many Vettel Haters?

Yes he could. The reason him or Alonso did not win was because Vettel did not go in when he really needed to because Alonso and Button were hunting him down and he would have not made it out ahead of them.

Vettel was forced to make it a 1-stopper or else he would have lost the race.

Button was on course to win the race regardless, until he pitted for the wrong tyres. Vettel could have still won had he ran a 2-stopper, but as we saw With Button, the fastest way to the end of the Grand prix doesn't necessarily mean you're going to win. Vettel opted to keep track position. He didn't pit so he could cover off Alonso, and it worked well for him.

He defended against Fernando for a number or laps before the red flag. It's testiment to his skill that he made the tyres last so long.

Again, they did not dominate anything last year.
The Renault of Kubica crossed the finish line 1,6 seconds after Webber.

Massa 2.6 seconds. Domination is what Senna did, pulling out 40 seconds on his teammate and the rest.
hypocrisy at its finest.
First you decide to quote sector times and race strategy when you do your analysis of 2011 monaco.....then for 2010 you decide to competely ignore everything and just cite the race ending times????pragmatism eeh?
there was a safety car right at the end in 2010..Vettel was in another zip code on pace comparted to the other 23 cars in the field barring the fact that Kubica is an awesome driver.........The RB6 owned Monaco in 2010. they did dominate!

Also theres non sense talking about what coulda shoulda woulda happened......Vettel won the race. End Of. 1 race win could be an accident but you are not going to tell me the 11 race wins is an accident

And if I remember correctly, Pirelli said his tyres would have lasted to the end.

Was there not a safety car at the end of the race? How can you pull out a 40 second advantage when the safety car bunches the field up again?

Well said.

In safety terms that was indeed the case. As for performance... I think he hit the cliff on the lap before the red flag as Button gained about 4 seconds on both of them.

I personally used to hate him. why? cuz he best Lewis (my hero) .....but I've come to realize that this guy's got what it takes.......he's constantly winning and he's so young, how long can u possibly hate a guy like this? He's really good.....but i bet Hamilton is not done yet....wait till he gets a better car (Mclaren 2011 really ain't that good)

Hamilton may be good. But he can be a tad bit arrogant and cocky.......you all know what i mean. Im not saying thats bad. All drivers should have character....But he tends to count his chickens before they hatch....And then they dont hatch on Sunday..........the way i see i his problem is that he only ever thinks about winning the race(all f1 drivers should think about this but Hamilton does it in a conceited way.....) He doesnt realize as Ron dennis i believe says? To finish first., first you must finish.

If he would just start just taking every race lap by lap instead of thinking about how he's going to end up in first place on the last lap he would drive better during the race and be in a wining position so ofter. He's almost like a spoiled kid. He thinks he should be up there winning with Vettel( And yes He should!) but he's skipping steps to get there and its costing him....

I hope he comes with a new frame of mind next season. And does well!

yes, i guess ur right......even if he has the skill , i guess being champion for while got to his head......lets hope he gets out this 'complex' of thinking by next season ^^

The Senna race? Yea Safety Car was out because Senna crashed just before the tunnel.

No I meant Monaco 2010, where there were several safety cars, that prevented any significant lead from being built.

The guy was absolutely in tears last season, and he was in tears at Monza this season. Yeah, he's got the finger and is a shoo-in for the WDC, but racing means everything to the guy and he's been humble about it. I've got no problems with him, go on then, Seb!

I've not been following F1 for the past seasons, and seeing vettel dominating this year was sort of meh, to the extent that i hope for someone else to win everytime. But after seeing the second video posted, he was so much more interesting back then when won with a car which belong to the midfield, would've been great to see that rather than him being in total domination.

Next year my guess is the big three will be more even. The last two years RBR has been in class by itself.

I´m really excited to see the cars for next year, Ferrari going radical balls to the walls, Mclaren will probably come up with another "ahaa" solution and RBR will once again just fine tune the piece of art Newey and his team created.

It is expected from Red Bull but Lewis Hamilton made a comment about Red Bull somewhere during the British GP saying one of Red Bull's secret for success is the evolution of their cars, not revolution like what McLaren, Ferrari and most other teams have done. So Lewis suggested that for next year McLaren will make an evolution of the MP4-26 to keep their current performance.

Yea it´s very clear if you look up the images of the RBR family and you can see the car getting tweaked for every year. Pretty remarkable.

What i ment with the "ahaa" thing in regards to Mclaren is for example the sidepods, and F-duct. They usually have some little thing that nobody else have etc.

But i agree, the car seems to be a good base with alot of potential, im just very excited to see what Ferrari will pop out.
When i saw the F150 in testing i was pretty shocked because it looked so ordinary and very reserved so i´m hoping for a completely different look for next year, something aggressive.

EDIT:

Only around six per cent of this year's car will be carried across to McLaren's 2012 challenger, which Neale hopes will match the expectations of Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton.

"We do a new car every year despite the fact there's a constantly changing set of regulations," Neale said.

"The carry over that we expect from the car that won on Sunday to the first test car on February 1 will be around six per cent, or something like that.

Seriously this is a question?

He's the most successful driver in the sport right now. There are 24 drivers in F1 on race day. That means there are fans of 23 other drivers who can dislike him.

Personally, I am a Jensen and Lewis fan but I think Seb comes off as an amiable and likeable guy. I have no reason to dislike him save for the colour and aerodynamic genius of his car.

If Seb was in a McLaren I would be 100% behind him.

I think he's overrated. I like him A LOT more than I like Ken Block though.

Overrated? How exactly. It seems like most people on these forums don't like him, and yet he is a two time world champion already. If anything, he's constantly underrated.

Ken Block hasn't won any championships... in anything. Neither has Danica, though oval racing is quite fickle.

Vettel won a number of karting trophies, won Formula BMW, came second in F3 (behind... Di Resta), and was leading Formula Renault before being recruited permanently for F1. He has managed to create records for youngest driver in F1 to score a point, win a pole position and win an F1 Grand Prix. All before he got the RBR gig. After joining RBR, he became youngest champion, youngest double-world champion and scored the record for the most poles.

He was exciting to watch in cars that were not top-of-the-ladder, even though there were times when he made "rookie mistakes". That his drive in the RBR is not as exciting is more the fault of other teams not fielding a strong enough driver-car combo to beat him. McLaren-Hamilton should have been close, as he's the only one who could consistently push for poles against RBR (given Alonso had very little car to work with), but Lewis has had a spectacularly bad season.
