Why the all whining about SE7?

I think there are so many complaints on here, because everyone who is happy with SE7 are busy playing the events. Some of us just have to wait until we get home from work.

Haha right on...just 3 more hrs of work and i can finally play em lol!

yeah it does.. you are complaining about the game, well you knew what to expect when you bought it. If you don't like what you see or will get, dont buy it.

PD is going the extra mile with all the progress they are making, like seasonals (FOR FREE), possible DLC and standard to premium upgrades.

If you go to a concert of your favorite artist and the concert happens to suck what do you do? Thank that artist for doing his/her best? I expected a fun game, it is not and I have the right to say so.

How did we know what to expect from GT5 before buying it? If you are referring to GT5 Prologue, then GT5 fell flat on its face. All the cars (all be it there wasn’t many) were finished off beautifully like the 200 premiums of GT5… no one expected 800 cars to have dodecagons (12 sided) wheel arches and a hectogon (100 sided) wheel underneath it.
Mk2golflover is right. What you said about the Kia Picanto is way off the mark, correction, not even headed in the “marks” direction.

^What he said. They could atleast have given us rounded arches!!

PD announced in the update a while ago that Cr prizes will be increased until the end of January to give everyone that boost they need ... its now february = end of january so thats your answer to fewer Cr prizes :)

But complaints about prizes being too big and easy ... so there you go stop moaning 👍

I am here to whine about all the whiners... it's a vicious circle...:sly:

A circle that i have sometimes found myself in regrettably.
Anyway, excuse my digression from the topic as I do have to agree that I do like SE7 as I like all the SE’s before it. I like most everything about this game and all the prequels. There is a natural progression with games and hopefully that implies to the SE’s in the future. Games and parts/aspects within the game should follow a progression of getting better, which has happened in my opinion, aside from the grind that is… but that’s another topic… another 500 topics… that already exist.

i do not understand what all the gripes are about se7. First of all, everyone wanted new a-spec events, and thats essentially what these are. The prizes are in-line with them, and they can be replayed too. Pd even included some limitations to play by, but they're not holding a gun to anyone's head forcing them to. It gives you the option, which is a suggestion many people had. There's even an oppurtunity to use those f2007 and f10 cars that cant be used anywhere else. We haven't got any new events in two weeks, yet theres more complaining then ever. So even with all these good things, whats the gripe? I for one enjoy them, but to each his own i guess.

+1

The OP answered the his own question in the title. People complained about no race for F1 cars and PD responded so they hope if they complain enough PD will make the changes they want.
A better title would be something like "In sprite of the complaints I actually enjoy SE7."
I'm happy with SE7 and have no complaint.

No. You have it wrong. The update referred to the prizes in some events eg the Dream Car Indy credits were increased. These can only be 'undone' via another update and are completely separate to the seasonal events.

You want more events, you have more events. Simple:D

Once again, you are missing the point with your comments.. they have your money, they own you nothing.
So the point is, they don't have to upgrade anything or fix anything, but they do and even then people still complaint about the upgrades/free content.
.

Although not legally bound to release periodic updates, PD absolutely no-questions-asked HAS TO release periodic quality updates if they want to get their reputation out of the toilet bowl before it is collectively FLUSHED for good. Money can't buy you a good reputation.

👍

I finally got to play today... did one FF and one FR.. also did the drift trial.

PD, I have money to spend on you and Sony, please give me quality DLC content for GT5, at $2.99 ea, (featuring winnable car), at $5.99 ea (featuring winnable car that you MUST drive in this particular event), at $12.99 ea (featuring Point-to-Point famous locations, and winnable entire traffic lot lol).

But I appreciate the online Seasonals, too bad I really only discovered them late in round 6.

I expected a fun game, it is not and I have the right to say so.

No, you have, as all other members, the privilege to use a 3rd party website/forum because of the generosity of the owner. Give me a break from this "freedom of speech" crap. Although your congressman will be happy to listen to you. Probably.

This constant and pointless whining has pretty much ruined GTP for me because I'd liked to come here to share some infos on GT5, not to listen to endless hordes of folks who, basically, don't like driving/car games.

Then don't read it. Or better yet, read yourself. Can you fathom how dumb that statement is yet? You're basically saying that people on their internet opinions aren't the same as yours so the game is now ruined. And before you go off making another dumb statement, I love driving/racing games. :dunce:

Waaaa, ItsHim doesn't think the same way as me, and aww my poor game is ruined....PLEEEEAAASE.

That's funny. Apparently, it's impossible to love car games and not like GT5.

Well for a start they're nothing like A-Spec events for the simple fact that they're not races. They are time trials with slow traffic on the track. In fact they're more in line with the S licence tests with the only difference being you can't get disqualified.

The prizes are crap, in fact, A-Spec prizes are crap so yeah go figure why people are complaining. Who cares if you can replay them? I can pick out loads of A-Spec races that give more money, more exp and are more fun.

Yeah you can use the F10 and F2007, I can use them online, so big deal. Also, what about the people who don't have and won't be able to get one of them, don't they have a reason to complain?

The fact of the matter is that PD took away the only good reason to bother with these so-called races, the cash and the exp.

Finally!!!!

I completely agree.
This is the first thread that supports se7.

Everyone was complaining about the extremely high payout for the earlier ones, and now they're all complaining about how low the payout is.

WTF!!!!!

Ever heard about extremes?

I love racing/driving games maybe as much as do, particularly the GT series, but I also like finished products when I pay for something.

Sony is the one ruining everything. They pressured PD to release the game unfinished, not the rational consumer that only paid for something that is completely unbalanced and full of glitches.

Negative. A simple prize car would have been cool.

My thumbs up was more to the pointlessness of most critism around here, not that others don't like racing/driving games.. maybe i should have edited that quote a little more.. heh.

But you are exactly right, Sony is the culprit here. Not PD. But then again, if it were not pushed, we probably still would not have GT5 in our hands for at least another year.

All in all i feel it is pretty solid.. I sure don't see where it is "full of glitches" sure there's still issues needing to be addressed, but has this stopped any of us from playing this game like mad since it was released? I know it has not for myself at least...

I even had the misfortune of loosing my save file back on Jan 8th when my ps3 locked up after finishing a online race.(a-spec 30, b-spec 33) loosing over a month of game play time (since Nov 25th) So i had to start over from scratch. Even if i had not lost everything i probably still would not be level 40 aspec, not being able to run the last endurance race.
But unlike a lot of users around here, that does not bother me at all. I still get enjoyment out of this game every day.

You and I have some sort of karma tying us together...

I lost my save file because there was a power break back in December the 12th, I was A-Spec 30 B-Spec 32. The PS3 was saving and got the file corrupted when the power went down.

I did everything again since the game has MARVELOUS physics, it is a pleasure to drive the cars, today I'm A-Spec 38 from ZERO, and B-Spec 40 from ZERO, with 1060 cars.

I love the game man, love it, really. Nevertheless, as a rational consumer the game is unfinished, unbalanced and glitchy. Glitches are on tracks, car behavior on certain areas, graphics, lights not blinking, descriptions of the wrong car on some cars, etc. etc.

I love the game buddy, really, but I'm also rational about it. If we as consumers do not demand better quality, what will we have in a few years left to play? Video games are in serious decadence nowadays, we have to fight against that.

i would like something other then just the payout, maybe a car or something would be nice

Being rational about it is completely fine ;) Being cynical about it is not. (not that i felt you yourself was being cynical in any shape or form) Constructive criticism is definitely a good thing. But "it seems to me" the majority here that criticize and/or complain about things in the game are not rational at all, surely you can see that browsing around here lol.

I agree with you to some extent, yes.

Its the payout / XP.
The game has been out for a while now I think that the races should have a difficulty level and payout at least similar to to LVL20-24 in A-spec. These are rookie races with rookie prizes.

The Ferrari F1 is VERY cool, and I think the prize money and XP is appropriate to the difficulty on those.

Same here I felt a bit sad because I didn't get that absurd amount of money and XP like in previous SE, but man, doing the FR Challenge with a Camaro SS '97 completely untuned and under de 300 HP power guide, fighting until the last chicane with an RX-7 '91 on Suzuka it was awesome and more satisfyting than in previous SE

You kinda hit you want to be fighting till the last turn but that is hard to do when all PD is telling you to do is just go grab any FR car that is in the 300hp area! In order to create a challenge they really need to say these tires this power and this weight basically exactly like the time trials.

The first 2 sets where really the best and then it seams like someone said HEY this is too hard for some people and they are getting frustrated we need to make it so a 2 yr old can do it. So then they lifted the restrictions and then after that just did away with all restrictions except drivetrain. Then the only race that actually has a hardcore restriction (ferrari race) is not only extreme but it is 10 million to participate. I think they should make the restrictions very exact again and if people are having a hard time then they can turn on the skid recovery force which is good for several seconds per lap. If you can't win after that then be happy that you where given a challenge or go buy PGR.

In Forza there is so much more to the game and the car class system makes it a challenge if you purchase upgrades that aren't as effective yet add points you will need to rethink your approach if you want the game to be easy you can look at the leader boards and see what cars hold the track records so you know what car to use in each class. When you compare Forza to GT5 they are polar opposites yet they are supposed to be competitors. In Forza an complete novice can play and have fun since they can tune down the AI and yet a complete pro can have fun bye having the difficulty to the highest setting.

These races need to have restrictions end story!

👍 i agree with all this.
