Wich cars do you think that are the most under/overrated?

God i was so lucky the speed 12 appeared in the online dealer! I love it! Another relatively low use car would have to be the option stream z... Once fully modified, its capable of upwards of 260mph... Granted i had a draft from my brother

I dont seem to see many people with the caterham either... That thing flies! 300 bhp and only 320kg or so (lol im probably way off)

A lot of the standard 90's cars are underrated, they are usually the most fun to drive.

the 1968 honda s800 RSC race car i would say is under rated at 100 bhp and 660kg with racing hards my only mods were titanium racing exhaust and sports suspension this thing did a 1:30 top gear lap without pushing

Overrated the italia and veyron.. both should have much more potential

Underrated lp-670 stock, people keep saying it's a piece of garbage no grip and so on. But it is awesome with tcs 0 at tight tracks jusr harness the powerslide and get on the gas

I dont think the Veyron is over rated at all. You do however need to adjust your driving style to the insane straight line speed. The car still ranks right up the top of laptimes even on tight circuits.

Under rated:
M3 GTR and CSL. Very precise cars.
RUF 3400S (Boxster)
and the Holden Monaro (just had to chuck that one in there)

EDIT: Dodge Challenger SRT8, this car has no right to be as good as PD has made it. Seriously on sports hard tyres this thing is punching so far above its weight its not funny.

Over rated:
Lambo 670-4 SV ( Love Lambos just not this one).


The Speed 12 and ZZ-II arent really underated, there are two recent thread telling everyone how good they are.

I wouldn't say the X1 is overrated, 80% of online users who have them can't drive it anyway

The Veyron is definitely overrated though, I see one in nearly every LMP room I create, and it's a small kid driving it half the time

Underrated: TVR Tuscan RM. I've won countless races in it's HP-Range with that thing. It has massive throttle-understeer, but corners like it's on rails if you know how to moderate the throttle effectively

Overrated - X1. God... why did this car have to be in this game? Would be so much better without it. They should've not done this stupid Vettle Challenge crap and instead spent the time making the X1 building a premium version of the Bugatti Veyron. Then they could use it as an award for a Bugatti challenge event that should replace X1.

Underrated - Mercedes Benz SL600. Doesn't look like it would be capable and I even painted mine a really boring, grandpa-ish color to make it even more decieving. I think when people see it, they think heavy, sluggish, barrell rolling grand tourer... But what it really is, IMO, is a sophisticated Viper ACR with all the power but with control. Absolute thrill to drive every time. 1,000hp, top speeds of 265mph+, and handles as deligently as any other FRWD layout supercar.

I don't see many people talking about the Subaru Impreza '05 RM. You couldn't spin out in this car if you tried. It accelerates faster than anything else in its PP range and corners like it's on rails. You can be so aggressive with this car; just throw it around, don't worry, you won't crash. No matter what, you'll always get out of the corners faster than your competition. I almost feel like I'm cheating when I use this car.

You can't spin out because it's 4WD.

That Trials Celica is good once you fiddle with the suspension. I don't like the way it looks, but it drives good.

I think it's silly when people say the X1/X2010 is overrated.

Sure you don't like it, but that is different from it being overrated?

It is considered by far the fastest car in the game, can corner amazingly fast and will outrun every car in every situation. This is a fact, nobody is rating it higher than being the fastest, so it cannot be overrated.

Though, i absolutely despise it. The threads title should be changed to "Cars you like and cars you dont like".

The Supra is definitely not overrated. maybe overpowered though. I too think its ridiculous that a lower hp Supra can hang with a higher powered Skyline.

Agreed. Nothing in the game is faster than the X1, it beats anything. Overated is most definetely the veyron, underated, well....i don't really see any thus far.

The Alfa Romeo TZ2 Zagato is underrated because of its low poer, but it's an awesome race car.

I agree, that Alfa TZ2 is a blast to drive. While doing single lap car tests on Trial Mountain I put down a faster time than in the McLaren F1. It is a quick car, especially considering it only makes 160bhp.

I think the Veyron is actually underrated... judging by the amount of hate it gets on this forum, you'd think it's a piece of **** to drive.

However, even completely stock, it's actually very fast. It's not so much slow or bad in corners, it's more that it's insanely fast in a straight line, and very decent in corners... Fully tuned, it's a blast and handles beautifully

I also agree that the TZ2 is an amazing car to drive.

Overrated... hm, I think I have to say SLS. It might be the gullwing doors, but it seems to like flying better than driving

Over rated: X2010 bcause it isn't even a real car, so... who cares. That, is my opinion, cheers to those who love it. The Veyron may be a little over rated, but at least it's real.

Under Rated: Lotus Evora. That thing is a little animal! It's insane! It's like a mini F430!

its too much for a car like that

The problem I have with the X2010 is that it's just too fast, I don't find it enjoyable to drive as corners come at you so fast you've no time to pick a line through it - it's a case of turn the wheel and hope for the best, even on the ovals...

I'd say that this pretty much depends on what PP level your targeting. Also AWD and RWD are two separate groups with AWD topping the easy to drive fast and quickest laps list but there are some exceptions to the AWD rule that some are just terrible.

I'm not seeing where the X2010 is overrated. "Overrated" would suggest that people make it out to be better than it is. That isn't possible. The X2010 simply blows every other car out of the water, no matter where you take it. There's no track on which the FGT, Veyron, F2007, F10, et cetera ever beat the X2010. If it's every bit as godly as they say, it's not overrated but properly rated. Not personally liking it or hating to see so many people fawn over it doesn't make it overrated.

Like anybody that knows anything about cars and racing, I'm definitely going with the Veyron as the most overrated. As has probably been illustrated in replies that I never bothered to read, the car looks fantastic on paper but isn't worth a bucket of monkey crap in most races and can generally be beaten by several other high-end cars. There isn't even very many places on Earth where it can reach its top speed, but no shortage of places where its terrible cornering comes into play.

I don't have an underrated nominee.
