Will GT4 include the Le Mans Circuit ?

theres now two people on this forum that said that they have played a Le Mans track. One of witch has great credability we me. Why isnt there more interest in this. Am i the only one who thinks this is big big news. Le Mans with the race cars in this game will be the ultimate racing experience.

Is this the course you're refering to? I'm having trouble finding definitive sources on the `net.

If so, the smaller loop looks cool enough, however, the larger one could get tiresome. It's not like the Ring where there's plenty of driving to do. It's mostly just full throttle - engine roaring - burn up your engine style of racing.

The small loop is the Bugatti Circuit. It's used for sportbikes and was used for the LeMans 1000km last year, as well as for practice for various sportscar teams in preparation for LeMans.

It's nothing compared to the Circuit de LaSarthe though.

I have allready driven the Le Mans circuit in a demo we have at work the detail is just as good as the Nordshleife. I drove a BMW V12 LMR but I don't remember my lap time but will see if I can pop up some pictures next week. 👍

Maybe not, Cobra. Telling it at the TGS would have spoiled the punch. Remember, back at E3 this year, they knew Suzuka was there, but they did not tell anything about it.PD are keeping surprises for sure. What's the point of releasing a game if evey detail is already known???

But I'm not saying that BMW guy is right.

Do you truly believe that polyphony will let us in on all secrets? (remember the F1's in GT3) My thought is that GRogall hasn’t posted the pics as Le mans didn’t surface at TGS.PD embargo GRogall?

You don't know squat if it is or isn't. And a 24 hour endurance race, if in, will be shortened. Yamauchi announced that long races in RL can be shortened in GT4.

Alot of people want to see Le mans in gt4 and joking around is just mean You are either joking or you made a mistake and dont want others to flame you'll be back on the 12th? I like that tiny track at the west side portion of the Le Mans, it gives plenty of opportunities for lesser powered cars to race there, just like High Speed Ring and Autumn Ring Mini.

Higher powered cars can keep that main track.

Ive looked on the BMW demo again and its not reffering to Le Mans!!
There are also files named.. lemans_205_it and lemans_a110_paris with others so i dont now what lemans means but its not the Track.

The main problem with Le Mans in GT4 is that the Mulsanne woud be a full 30 seconds of open throttle and it would get kind of boring, unlike the 'Ring which is just so undulating that you can't remember the proper racing line (hopefully that will be a part of the AI). I don't think Le Mans would really be appropriate for GT4 because the track is designed to put the cars through their paces with every type of corner imaginable, long straights and low-speed sections, whereas places like Spa are designed for drivers, not cars.

And besides, PD only just got the Nurburgring in by playing with the coding a bit. If Le Mans goes in, something else goes out and I think GT4 is good enough without Le Mans. I'd hate for gameplay to suffer because there are too many big tracks in the game.

The only reason the Mulsanne is so large and long is because its a public road.

But I don't think it's coincidence that a straight as long as the Mulsanne is included in a race designed to test how long cars can race ... how better to test them than to use that straight for 30 seconds every 3 - 3.5 minutes?

But I digress, I have no point.
