I wouldn't mind Le Mans in, but I bet you guys anything that if it is in, it'll be available for an endurance race. I mean the track literally is an endurance track.

I also bet Nurburgring will be an endurance too.

I mean, c'mon, Pd loves putting the most challenging and hardest courses for endurance races.

Look at GT3. Grand Vally would have been a cooler endurance if it wasn't just Miatas, and then they have Cote D' Azur with was one hell of a long time endurance. Hopefully though, the REAL Monaco course will be in, with the name.

Yeah a 6-8 race endurance series...

Nurb' 1000km
Le Mans 1000km
Spa 1000km
Grand Valley 500km
Monaco 500km
Bathurst 1000km
Trial Mountain 500km
Red Rock Valley 500km

Yeah but make the cars ones you want to drive over that distance. The likes of Supercars, LM's, FIA GT & GTS.

Oh yeah! I love those enduro's, lap after lap trying to find another 0.1 of a second to knock off your best lap time.

(Hope this wasn't a obvious 'top' ;) )

I have to disagree with you, hellnback, Red Rock Valley is not a good Enduro track - it's hardly demanding. The best courses for Endurance races would be (if those you mentioned weren't in):

Nurburgring 1000km
New York 2 hours
Fuji 500km
Opera Paris 500 km
Motegi Road 300km
Grand Valley (Standard Car) 2 hours
Infineon Raceway 500 miles
Special Stage Route 11 (hopefully, I love that track) 50 Laps

I wonder if Paris Georges V could hold six cars? From the looks of the video on GTWorld it could (mind you I only saw a bit ... just out of the Arc d'Triomphe Cercle - that's what I call it with French spelling). Possibly a Rally Enduro? If that was the case, Citta di Aria and Costa di Amalfi would have to go in for sure!

But if Le Mans does go in, it's virtually guaranteed to be used for an enduro. I said if.

I know that RRV is probably not the best choice but I kinda liked it, a better choice is probably Midfield...

id prefer red rock to monaco, that track doesnt scream enduro to me one bit, not because of the layout of the track or anything. but beacuse of the "feeling" the track gives off.

Yeah but having to be 'that' precise for that many laps around Monaco, makes it precisely what enduro's are about, 'to challenge'.

HU! Pretty much Mazdamaniacs like me in this 3d! 787b at LeMans would be great.

And... i prefere a 30" full throttle stright every 3 1/2 minutes than boring 20 lap races  at the test circuit like in GT3.

Actually now that I've done a bit of mental arithmetic with a calculator, 30 seconds' full throttle every 3 1/2 minutes doesn't sound too bad - you're only doing full throttle for 14% of the time.

Now Le Mans cars average about 400 laps each year - about 23 hours 20 minutes racing, which is 1440 minutes. 14% of that is 201 minutes, 36 seconds.

Now if I've done it right (probably not ...), this means that if Le Mans is included with a 24-Hour Endurance race, you'll only be driving down the Mulsanne at full throttle for just 3 hours and 21 minutes of that time, or roughly 14%.

PLease don't ask me to do that again. My head hurts now.

That GRogall thing is plain bull****, he never played Le Mans because he wouldn't be the only one and the news would have spread in 30 seconds or less.

Yeah, something like that would be nigh on impossible to keep to yourself... You'd wanna tell the world and forever be known for the info...

He's probably avoiding the thread/site now... a 2 min member...

Ye of little faith... ! :sly: Atleast wait until the date he mentioned passes before dismissing him entirely... that said, I stick by what I said previously... either put up or shut up... now's the time to show your hand Grogall... seeing is believing! :-)

I saw Grogall on sight this morning. I was SURE he was posting the vid for us.

i was just going to bring this tread up too, you beat me to it.

I guess he didn't post a video, or is he still trying to source it I wonder...

Touring Mars: It's not like I had little faith in him to return, I think it could've been more of a case of him thinking 'OMG, what have I just guaranteed, with witnesses, damn fool me!'

If we we're to believe all that's said around here, GT4 has Ferrari, Porsche, Lambourghini, Le Mans, Qualifying, kick-ass AI, 1000+ cars, Spa, Toyota Celica Pikes Peak :D, not to mention a whole lot more... It time for people to start backing up their statements, there's enough speculation to drive people mad around this forum, people are worked up enough.

That's right, man! Don't believe the hype! Accept no substitutes! Unless it can be proven with evidence from PD themselves as they're the only authority on GT4, we shouldn't believe it. As hellnback said, if we keep going like this everyone will expect has Ferrari, Porsche, Lambourghini, Le Mans, Qualifying, AI Michael Schumacher couldn't beat and over 1000 cars. And when GT4 is released and we find that PD hasn't included the above we'll all be sorely disappointed and then this forum will be filled with people either demanding to know why there's no Ferrari or why they can't find Spa OR complaining about the fact that it's not in there.

So I ask again because no-one bothered to answer me: Why is Le Mans so great that it should be included in GT4? and, more importantly: If it is in there, can you PROVE (with solid evidence) that the track WILL be included?

One of the most simplist answers I can think of to why Le Mans should be in GT4, is that it could be argued Le Mans is the most well known motorsport track. I'm not talking about those who know motorsport but to those who know nothing about it. If they had to spout out three tracks, Le Mans would probably come out more than alot of other tracks.

So why shouldn't the most well known racing/simulation game have the most well known track???

GRogall
Sorry that I havn't posted the pictures of the le Mans circuit, but I am at the Paris sallon at the moment and will be back in the office on the 12th of Oktober!
and should be able to post pictures then :indiff:
Yippee! today's the day!

Well it's Oct 13, 11.57pm here, 3 mins to Oct 14...

I'm really not fussed WHEN he proves his statement, just the fact IF he can.

It'd be great if he does...

... But if he doesn't?

I dunno, it still sounds fishy to me. There's one shot floating around that everyone was convinced was Le Mans until someone here pointed out the Tsukuba logo ...

If he can't it doesn't mean that Le Mans isn't in the game, if he can, in my mind it just makes it more possible/probable.

If GT4 doesn't end up having Le Mans, it's funny to think I could be disappointed in GT4 in some way when it's offering so much, especially the Nurb', the new tracks etc etc

All the preconceptions of what "definately will" be in there (ie Le Mans, Ferrari, etc) do sort of take away from GT4 with all these people saying they can guarantee '800+ cars' or 'lots of secrets.' It's made even worse by people who slam PD for removing Online or knocking back the release a few weeks.

I mean, look what we get: 650 cars, 50 tracks, B-Spec, Photo Mode, new types of racing, more proper circuits and circuits based on real-life locations than usual and the fact that it's the sequel to one of the biggest-selling games of all time, but I guess that isn't good enough for some people.

So Le Mans or no, GT4 will be great.

Do you race?
So Le Mans or no, GT4 will be great.

Exactly, well said that man! :)

Le Mans would be wicked, but by no means the be all and end all, there are plenty of other, more interesting tracks, like Suzuka, Nordschliefe, Laguna Seca, and they are all IN! (yawn! you knew that already...) Anyway Grogall, put us out of our misery and show us some screens :D :D If working for BMW has any priveleges associated with it at all, we'd greatly appreciate it if you'd share your 'insider' info with us! Either that or we will have no choice but to assume that you are nothing more than a 'pic' tease... :sly:

Well I don't think I'll use Photo Mode at all, Drag/Drift holds nothing for me (I like attempting to achieve perfect laps, take 10ths, then 100ths then 1000ths of lap times)

I'll prolly have to do Drag to complete game but apart from that... no thanks.

Conversely, Le Mans will give me as much hours of pleasure that the Nurb' is bound to give...

ATM I'm just pi$$ed at the delay of my DFP, it means less time to practice with it with GT4P.

still 4 1/2 hours here. and I'm on the east coast. Maybe our supplier is in guam or hawaii, then he'd have like 10 hours to live up to his promise.

We are now October 14th and no sights of our beloved Grogall. I told you it was bull**** :) . Anyway, the fact he doesn't prove LeMans is in doesn't prove anything but the poor guy will just lose his reputation.

See ya :sly:

It was knocked back a bit further than a few weeks...

Can anyone remember the original release date?
