as the title says does anyone know of any forthcoming patches?

Kaz has said he plans on doing them monthly. So we will likely see the next one sometime in January.

Everyone think leaderboards.

Hope so.

Custom gearbox still needs fixing. So do headlights and inviting freinds to online games. Leaderboards are kinda low on my list.

Leaderboards are low on my list too. I do not need to know how much I suck:indiff:.

Hopefully they were serious about monthly updates. I thought they did a good job with the last one.

Yea so far the updates have addressed a lot of issues. Unfortunately there a still quite a few left.

I don't think they did a lot of work during the hollydays. I expect the next update to come somewhere arround the end of january

Yeah better prize cars would be nice, and really who cares about the leaderboards...... More money would be nice to.

I think they need to improve that sometimes weird "camera tilt" when we use internal view, I mean the car should have to "tilt" because of the high speed and slightly bumps not the track, if you know what I mean.

I'm so ready for that custom event creator now.

The first thing that I would like to see in the next patch is for them to Fix jagged graphics and shadows and the car in front of smoke texture problems since the game drives very well, it would be great if it looked the part also.

Standard cars upgraded to Premium ones for me 👍

+1

My kingdom for more real-world tracks!!!!

I was hoping for more seasonal events. Hopefully those are coming soon.

As for the actual patch, fixing the online issues and improving the online would be the no. 1 for me. Also add more races into a-spec.

A few things that imo are needed.

Ability to save tunes for our cars should be top priority at this point.

A quick oil change option on the triangle menu from any tuning page including online. Or better still and option to change the oil in all your cars that are in favorites or both of these. After driving for a few hours online last night I ended up with 6 cars that needed an oil change and it is a real hassle to have to get in each one then go to GT Auto wait for the screen to load then change the oil and repeat several times.

The fully adjustable trans needs to be fully adjustable. Also would be nice to be able to set the top speed on the close ratio trans as those do not whine like the fully adjustable one.

More options for restricting online races, such as region, car type, drive type, year range and so on.

Leaderboards for tuned cars.

Tire wear need patched. There should be a good bit of difference in the life of the Race soft vs other harder tires. As is they all seem about the same and takes away tire strategy in longer races.

Option to turn cars which park in the track or drive the wrong way into ghosts so they can not ruin a good race.

Online dealership needs to update more often.

These are just a few of the things that I feel are most needed at this point in the game.

Most of these should be pretty simple from a programming perspective and would make the game more enjoyable for many of us.

The other things people are always asking for Standards to Premium, More tracks, Graphics updates are much more involved to do and would take a great deal of time.

I say this as a professional developer myself. Please do the little things first as they will be quick and easy and have a bigger impact on the game.

Nice list, I'd also like to see the ability to save tunes.

With so many cars in the game it would be nice when you go to purchase a new car it tells you if you already have that car in your garage.

I'd like to be able to totally customise my gears with my "fully customisable transmission". As well as that, and I know it won't happen, I'd like the addition of some kind of sports and racing breaks that we could buy for cars. I really don't know why PD left that out. Baffles me

Actually they do, which needs to be removed. It's not nearly as loud, but my Mazda 2 sounds like it's supercharged now since I put a close ratio 5-speed in it.

The cars are already equipped with the brake controller and the brakes do not fade. The brakes we have will lock the wheels and more than that is not needed. If your car is not stopping or slowing down fast enough in game better brakes will not help. You need either better tires, more downforce or better use of brakes and gears.

As pointed out in other threads the reason race brakes are needed is that standard brakes are not designed for track usage and while they will lock your wheels they will also get very hot and after a few laps will fail. This does not happen in game so the effect is that all cars behave as if they already have racing brakes on them.

No need to add them at this point unless the totally change the way the stock brakes behave.

Now that some time has passed and we've all had our chance to rant a bit, I have come to terms with the game I've bought and am enjoying it more. There are only 2 things that stand out in my mind and continue to bug me on a daily basis ....... the inability to adjust individual gears and ...... the inability for our settings for personal background music to be stored. The game always reverts back to the game "musak" no matter how you set up the audio options menu :grumpy:

I don't know if this is just me but I think that would be kind of a cheater way to get money because you could customize an event to best suit your best car and then play it, get a crapload of money, rinse and repeat. You should have to change your car to suit the event instead of the other way around.

I think (hope) they will soon fix the lego choppy graphics you see when a car in front of you kicks up dirt and smoke. I know im not the only one thats seeing this.

Kaz has said he plans on doing them monthly. So we will likely see the next one sometime in January.

If I recall the wording was never so specific... it was more "it could be weekly or monthly" as in it could even be that often! And then later he said "if we got an update a month that would be good" as if he was scaling it back to say he would be happy/impressed with as often as monthly.

Those are paraphrases BTW but pretty much what I recall him saying.

Along with many of what people have mentioned, I would like a user defined online garage to specify/restrict racers in my lobby to using my specific cars that I have created/modded. (similar to the default recommended garage)

As an example if I have 3 tuned cars modded to my spec, in my GT Life garage I would like any person in my lobby to be able to use any of those 3 cars in an online race without first having to buy those cars and mod them to the same spec. A feature like this would make organising online events with buddies or GTP members much easier.

Imagine, I create a class of car, say 10 different NA 2 litre cars, with various mods, but all cars have a similar perfromance. I set these cars to be available via my online garage in the lobby, anybody joining my room can only select those 10 cars. It would be great, and make interesting competitve racing much more likely.

saving during pitstops is all i want.

This. 👍

After doing the 60-lap enduro at Grand Valley, I can't see myself doing any more of them without a save function.
