The word 'flip' really gets on my nerves when somebody says it when used in exclamation, eg.

Flip! You see Yu-Gi-h yesterday?
- Dang stupid show anyway.

My second worse word is anything like flippin' why can't you put a g there? - A G!

Some examples, goin' flippin' movin' slurpin' sn00pin'

Another horrible phrase is - "The Pictures", its Movies people, Movies not the Picture Theatre!

Crotch is a weird word I don't even know how to say it!

Thought of another one today.

People who say "click" (and "clicky") when they really mean "clique".

Edit: Alpha - They are called "movies" as a contraction of "Moving Pictures". So saying "pictures" is the same thing, and equally as valid. So there :D

Up here in maine, people make just silly refrences that annoy me.

I.E- Up on The penney road.

As far as regular words...hmm. I cant think of any...

Stupid old fashioned people.

Oh and the word cache, my bother called it catchy yesterday, f00!.

DA BOMB
BLING BLING
IM JUST JOSHIN YA

these are my 3 most hated words/sayings. they have absolutely no logical point behind them

I can't stand when people use the word strange.

The other day some kid in one of my classes used the word comical instead of funny, that was pretty annoying.

I hate it when people say supper instead of dinner, pop instead of soda, and potty instead of toilet.

I really hate it when kids try to say big words for no apparent reason.

It's fun to invent words, then see if anybody notices.

My sister pronounces theater like theater. With a long "A". It's really annoying.

Not nearly as annoying as when Americans mis-spell "theatre"...

*runs away*

Mini contest. Use all of the words and phrases listed prior to this post in a short story.

Is that anything like when Brits, Aussies and NZs pronounce Peugeot as Perrrrgot, Famine? Some of us do it too. Not me. I'm excellent at pronunciations when I know them properly.

Btw, if spelt, yes I just said spelt, that way pronouncing it as thea-treh would not be ridiculous.

Webster;s dictionary says theater.

Try an Oxford dictionary, British edition.

Well, it's Webster's dictionary for the English Language. We all speak English don't we?

Clearly not... :D

Remind me where Romans fought in gladiatorial contests again... :D

Talentless - "Perrrr", not "Pyu", like "You are" not "waaar" on the end of Jaguar :D

I highly doubt the French say Perrr. Maybe they do. Heck, the language is oddity filled. Only Gaelic is harder. I say poo-zhoh. I also say Jaguar when referring to the company as you do, but only out of respect.

How do you pronounce guard? The royal gyu-ard?

If it was "Geuard", maybe.

Language IS fun, isn't it? :D

"America and Britain - two countries separated by a common language" :D

Need the 4-wheel drive and the 10 inch lift kit to boot. Yesa.

I hate words that are used in the wrong context. Another one is when people try to make fun of you and they use a word that they don't know the definition of.

I hate when people answer "yes" to two or more options. Would you prefer chocolate or vanilla? Yes.

I love doing that. Because I would like chocolate or vanilla.

I hate the word touge. I don't know if it is because I relate it to drifting, but I hate it.

Boom: It wasn't your fault she was only 12 and not fully grown. *groan*

using pickle as an adjective.

and it's sped up, not speeded, speeded is retarded.

i know it's a word, but is still sounds stupid.

i also hate it when ppl say i forget.

i bet ppl hate my poor gramer and use of the shortened people (ppl)

I always get myself into a pickle when she asks me to "cuddle." Gawd I hate that word. :irked:

I quit with the 12 year olds. Just couldn't get over the sound of their hips cracking. :yuck:

You think much of yourself, huh?
