Had a real interesting feature race , I decided to pit in the first window and use the fresher tires to pull out a gap on the leader Scales , the plan was working perfectly until I ran into traffic , I totally forgot about considering traffic in my plan , lol . Anyway I managed to get past the traffic in 2 laps and established about a 5 - 6 second lead on the race leader Scales when he pit . He eventually caught me , I couldn't push as hard with my worn tires , I just kept in his draft and had some great racing I eventually got past him on the final lap and took the win .

Its a great replay to watch and it proves the early pit stop strategy can work , its risky but it can work if luck is on your side .

Thanks to my teammate for helping me out in the traffic :)

Man what an evening of great racing!! Everyone was on it.... well done guys. Byo had some serious pace, smoking hot. When I came out the pits 10 seconds behind him and with only 12 laps to go, I thought the win was his. But I held my breathe, never blinked and almost broke my finger squeezing the accelerator. Still can't believe I won! Two different strategies and we finished 0.094 sec apart. Now that's close racing! You deserved the win Byo, tough luck.
 
It was a seriously good battle in Rome's feature race between 4 drivers (even 5 when Skeng joined the pack, but he got through kind of easily). Too bad it cooled down so much after the pitstops...
 
;)what a race, was so close and I knew I had to keep Canu behind me, I tried to make my car wide but I got played LOL (well done Canu). It's a pity about the disconnections and with a track like Rome there is always gona be contact, I think we can all learn from Rome that there are only a few proper overtaking zones that limit the chances of sending some1 into a wall.
 
It's not a forgiving track at all and it's definitely better to be patient. The best way to overtake at Rome is to get a run on the guy coming out of the corners. It's a shame there were obviously some heavy incidents and disconnections, lets hope we all learn from last night. Pity Ijigg quit, I can understand he must have been frustrated, but he had 425pp and in a long race like that and with the disconnections he could have done very well. But all in all I think most of the guys drove very well and clean.
 
There was actually, from what I saw, no crazy driving at all, it was only the last turn when we were all together. A mistake from Petrol (which he openly apologized for) triggered off a chain reaction. It left iJigg in the wall and when I came around I had nowhere to go and smashed into him hard, causing me to come to a dead stop.

Apart from that, which was just a racing accident - It was all fair play.....nice
 
This has been the best track so far , very good racing for the lupo .

Talk about being patient I made the pass for 1st place on the final lap.
 
Good race, some good battles. The pit stop got me, I pitted just behind will and just in front of Carbonx but left the pits way behind and lost the slipstream and was then picked off by zuat, who was unfortunately lagging like crazy on my screen.

Congrats to Skengd on making the early pitstop strategy work.

When do we do Autumn Ring's feature race? Next Thursday I'll try to be more prepared and more early if we're going to do it and follow up with a full event of the next track (Cape Ring).
 
homes just thought to let you know that we did the race with us all at 420pp as i asked the group in series 2 and they decided that well all run a 420pp to keep it close so just thought prehaps you could try it as it might make series 1 races even closer fought for positions
please could we also have perhaps 1 stand in team from series 1 just in case we have another round where there were only six of us

I Just don't understand why series 2 cant follow the rules ???

and with 6 pppl racing it would create an uneven race
 
I think what Driver might be trying to point out is that this is Homes series, he put it together, he made up the rules, the second series should show a little respect and run it the way it should be. Otherwise start your own series. You may as well because you run different rules every week. You can call your series the Lupo shuffle. Haha ha

we are we just adapting it so it still close and fun
as 4 ppl aren't racing any more so to have the the bottom five with a 5pp bonus would mean that everyone apart from scale would have it.
so i consulted the group on Thursday and every one agreed to run 520pp
and the closet race was the feature race
I don't even know why your making such a big fuss when it doesn't effect you
 
Its all good Will, I am just a little frustrated that Room 2 are not racing to the series rules as stated by our series host.

You right....it doesn't concern me at all, I just feel that its like "to hell with this, we will do it our way" and that's not cool.

At the end of the day, it still is a fantastic series which ever room you race in. I actually don't really mind what you do, I just feel its like showing carrots to the series host, and that's where my concern is.

No hard feelings, not wanting any enemies, I just feel rules are rules.
 
If everybody in room 2 agree and are happy with there dicisions let them do it. At least they all agreed on the changes and not like other dicisions that was made with not everyone agreeing.
If Homes is unhappy with whatever they do, please leave it up to him to address them.

I have to backup Willfred on this one , he has been trying his best to be a good host.

If homes had so much interest in room 2 he would have a designated host for room 2 someone who he knows and can trust from day one .

Yes a few rules have been changed not purposely, rather they have been forgotten to be added like tire wear was off in the sprint race week 1 for example but last week rome race everything was the way it should be .

Rooms 2 host Willfred has been doing a good job and if the drivers didnt want to up there pp to 425 then i believe that was their choice , Willfred did give them the option.

Silver.... you're on the button old chap! There is only 1 host, and he decided on the rules we run and he made them clear before we started the championship. Not everyone has to agree with them, they should just abide by them. Simple. People r welcome to voice there opinion, this is a forum the last time I checked, but the final decision lies with Homes and we should respect that. He can't please everyone.... and not everyone can win. That's racing!!
 
Canu - you know what, I have a feeling our views may be taken incorrectly. It may be coming across like we just causing trouble with room 2.

As SkengD has mentioned, Will is doing his best and I am sure everyone in room 2 is happy.

We just trying to back the host and follow the rules, but if you guys have to change and adapt and the host is cool with it, then its all good.

Lets move on and look forward to the next race.
 
We should look at joining the 2 series anyway..... looks like we got about 6 guys in series 2 and 7 guys in series 1.
 
last week was my first race in the series. I did not have any issues with the racing. We all, well all 6 of us that is, agreed not to change our PP. The option to increase was open to the guys but nobody wanted it. This was a unanimous decision, not a game rule for the evening. As Will has mentioned, with only 6 people in the room, 5 could take the extra pp and the leader would always have 420. I think that it would be best if we did combine the rooms into one. The downside of this is that it could be a bit tight with 14 odd cars on the track. At the end of the day though, it is about having a bit of fun and doing some "clean" racing. I have been doing quite a bit of racing with Bronzo and Silver and we are really having fun. The difference is that no aids, barring skid control are on. Now that makes for an interesting race. Anyways, will see you all on thursday
 
Yes if there are less than 14 in both rooms , we should indeed just make 1 room and play .

I think this lupo gti cup can be very fun and competitive .

Just use this season as the testing grounds / blueprint for a possible season 2.

I would definetely come back for another season .
