BYO
Yeah that helps to set up for the 2nd corner which is more of a concern hehe.
Slightly wide = grass
too wide = wall face plant :scared:

.......especially when I've given you a little tap lol

I think the times will be faster in an online room, I notice a difference of a few tenths usually.

I have been thinking about an event we can run on Christmas day (from say 7pm gmt).

Last night I entered a friends room for an event called 'wacky races'. What a gas!

We had 5 guys from England and 5 foreigners, so we made 2 teams. England vs Foreigners. Each round the 1st 3 positions scored a time bonus for the final.
1st = 20 seconds
2nd = 10 seconds
3rd = 5 seconds.

At the end there is a final (called 'fugitive') which is run over 2 legs at NUrburgring Nordshleife. At this point 1 team will have acumulated a time bonus and the other will have no time bonus. The team without the bonus goes first.
Each team designates a driver 'The fugitive' who gets to drive a Subaru Impresa. He goes onto the track and the whole opposition team also goes to the track in a Nascar. The Nascars have to try to stop the progress of the Subaru. If they pin the Subaru to the barriers and hold it still for 3 seconds the Nascars win (which is pretty impossible). The subaru drivers team watch and cheer or try to help with information. The Subarus time for the lap gets recorded.
Then roles are reversed. The team with the time bonus send their designated driver to the track and the other team take Nascars to the track. The Subaru gets to pull away and the Nascars are only allowed to start once the time bonus has elapsed. The Subaru with the best lap time wins (obviously the whole team wins the whole event).

It consists of about 7 events. I missed the 1st few but the ones I did were:

Dirty Rally - Rally driving with 'prison rules'.
Red Bull reverse - 1 lap of Eifel circuit but you have to drive the Red Bull in reverse.
Cat and mouse - Fiat500's being pushed by Nissan GTR's (teams of 2)
Fugitive (as discribed above).

It was so much fun, I think it would be great for a christmas event. We could obviously have more rounds (you guys can come up with some crazy ideas) and it would have to be South Africa v's 'the rest'.

Anybody keen ???

I'm more keen on a race...... but I'll give it a try;)

I have updated the front page of this thread with the tracks, dates, laps, points etc.

:)

Tonight the the 5pp extra is:

Petrol
Tyrrel
Zuat
Skengdigi
Homes

However Homes is not racing, the next on the table is shared points on 72, so I suggest we leave it as only the four drivers above only. Otherwise we will have 6 drivers on 5pp.

i do

i have a Red & BLACK Lupo. I'm using the red for todays race

Happy with my result considering I don't really drive that track and made so many mistakes .

The extra 5 pp helped ofcourse :)

What track is next week ?

RACE 2
GRAND VALLEY EAST (REVERSE)
36 LAPS
PIT WINDOWS: 12 – 14 / 24 - 26

Last night’s race was good fun, the sprint race provided the best closest action so far with all 4-5 cars fighting for the lead on the last lap....awesome.
The drivers that were on last night that ran with the extra 5pp were Petrol and Skeng.....Tyrrel showed up later, having connection issues, missed the start of the sprint race and had to start at the back of the feature race.

These are the night’s results:

Qualifying:

1 – BYO
2 – Canu
3 – Driver
4 – Scale
5 – Skeng
6 – YKDavid
7 – Petrol

Sprint race:

1 – Driver
2 – Canu
3 – YKDavid
4 – BYO
5 – Scale
6 – Skeng
7 – Petrol

Feature Race:

1 – BYO
2 – Canu
3 – Skeng
4 – Driver
5 – Scale
6 – YKDavid
7 – Tyrrel
8 - Petrol

Thanks guys for a good nights racing and well done to all for good clean racing.

Looks like I need to re-announce it, but I'm no longer part of the series as I have other commitments and haven't got time to test everything.

Oops, sorry. Fixed now ;)

Carbon - Thats a pity. You nned to get your priorities right and forget school and girls and concentrate on GT5. Particularly the Lupo Cup LOL ;)

Ahem... you should carefully read the "About Me" part of my profile :D

LOL! You have even less reason to be distracted from GT, so see you on track next thursday ;)

How come noe of you, except Scalebreaker have shared any photos in the game?

When you go to someones profile, you can go to their camera button/icon/thingie and view their shared photos. It is easy and fun to take photos of your favourite cars/accidents/scenery/victories/etc. Then view your album and share your top 8 pictures.
