well ladies and gentlemen! it comes down to this! if i missed out any nominations then im a pillock!

sorry, i was finding a missin poll option

turned out to be the ford gt

Consolodate threads, make this the nominations thread for the next country.

To be honnest, I couldn't call any of these cars remotely sexy. Some of them are very good designs, like the Viper was in the early 90s, but none of them are sexy at all.

I just won't vote.

Sexy to me means I want to have sex with it. The only car on that list I would have sex with is the Aztec since its got a big ol' booty and a "get me drunk and i'll do anything" front end.

Who uses the word "sexy" anymore anyways?! :odd:

There's plenty of cars I like the look of on that list but the Cobra and Series 1 are probably the only two I'd call sexy.

Aaaah-chooo!!!

i may consolidate threads, but i didnt want this to be frantic so i wasnt sure

The wrong Camaro year is displayed so I chose the Pontiac Le Mans, which includes any year GTO. Since the GTO was just the sport option to the Le Mans starting in 1964.

The Ford GT40 is nice but the Pontiac Aztek looks awful. I don't like the way the nose and headlights are stacked together. The rear is alright though.

aztec and shelby cobra tied. Seeing as this is based on looks shouldnt the shelby cobra fall under the UK as its a british design? (or is it the other way round?)

The first Cobra's were a British design but the Cobra 427 was only based on the British design, it actually had all new bodywork. The Cobra is as American as the Ford GT40, that said both the Ford GT40 and Ford GT were British designs, so regarding looks alone the 427 is more American than thoes.

Well if you want to get technical.......If one sees a Shelby Cobra, or Daytona coupe for that matter it most likely is a Superformance replica, thus making it of South African design....

Not here it's not, there's 1001 companies that produce Cobra replicas, I would think that theres a hell of a lot in the US too. The chances are you've seen a replica if you see one but the design didn't come from the companies that make the replicas, they copied the existing design.

And the winner of the American car thread is: A British car design, and what is essentially a 95% rip-off of another British car design. Awesome.
