Yeah not as nice as the one they ran on the Merc last year but personally I think it's one of the better looking liveries on the grid.

I used to dislike the red, yellow and white liveries on cars. Shell Helix colors changed that for me. look good on the DTM M4 and FG X. This VF just looks..I'm not being silly... it just looks greasy.
 
It's just the weird yellow-y gold for me. If it was a closer colour to the one on the Merc then it would outstanding.


Btw, according the person who designed it, Peter Hughes, it was actually supposed to be the same colour as the Merc, and he's not sure why it isn't as it was when it was designed. He does the designs for HRT, LDM, Erebus, BJR, and sort of Tekno. He had multiple concepts for Tekno but they went with the one they originally had. Red Bull have their own in house designer.

That Tekno car could've looked great with some of his rejected proposals!

What they've done is exchange the slick black for custard yellow. That's it.

There's nothing that really makes it bad enough to be put in this thread. It's not offensive to the eyes, which is what makes a livery bad.

I think the main issue, for me personally, is the fact that they've ruined their great testing livery (black F1 cars is a personal turn on) by just adding a sickly yellow rather than something which would really pop with the black.

The next issue is the amount of people proclaiming this to be "The best livery on the grid" just because it's yellow.
 
It's also not mainly red, white or black, so people are focusing on that aspect as well. Sure, it adds color to the grid, but it does it in such a bland way.
 
I like it, but it would have been nicer if it were a brighter or more orangey kind of yellow.
 
Looks like a cheap Johnnie Walker/Vodafone McLaren job.
 
Didn't like Chaz Mostert's Supercheap Auto livery to begin with but it's a million times worse now with the Castrol logo slapped across the bonnet.

It's not amazing. Its one saving grace is that it's a nice, bright colour. But the black at the rear of the car looks awkward and the gold patches seem like an afterthought.
 
If anything the Haas livery deserves to be in this thread more than the Renault IMO. Dissapointment of the decade!

Not as much as Forza players are, where a big reveal took place, only to find it's a livery for the existing GT-86 road car and not the widebody drift car. Pointless.
