I almost did about 5 minutes ago.

But figured I needed some humor today. By leaving it open it gives people the chance to come up with something witty about this topic being covered on numerous occasion.

Of course, the humor will come at your expense. :D

Now the question is, Is anybody up to the task of berating you in a new and witty manner? ;)

i wouldnt have it any other way.....okay folks give it yer best shot....i got my thermal vest on today....(my thickest armour)

It's definitely the American cars that suck about GT3. I mean with the Dihatsus and Vitz who needs Vipers and Corvettes?

who can argue with logic like that....everyone knows bigger is better....

GT3 would've been worse, for people living in the U.S., like me, if they hadn't had American cars in it. American cars will always be in the Gran Turismo games, anyway.

I'd take a shot at you.
But your desire for "better" cars in GT4, and the Fiat (Fix It Again, Tony) in your avatar, make it just too easy.
Now they can take the American Hondas/Acuras out because compared to their Japanese counterparts, they have a major Suckage factor.

It has nothing to do with bigger. But it does have to do with better. It also has nothing to do with logic. If you prefer racing with a Vitz over a Viper, good for you. I bet most people don't. If you prefer racing with a Dihatsu over a Corvette, you have that option because the game has a wide array of cars. I prefer fast cars, and the game's wide array of cars suits me, too. So to answer your question, no, it wouldn't be better, unless your a winy, nit-picking dork who takes every chance he or she has to bash anything remotely related to America.

I actually think if the game could do without any country's cars it'd be Britain. Jaguar and TVR. Big deal. I got a Speed Six for one race and it was okay. I despise the Speed 12, in the game anyway.

Oh wait, I forgot about Aston Martin! Pfft. No British racers though. I wonder why?

Although I am looking forward to a Bentley Speed 8 LMP in GT4.

i live in the fresno/clovis area, and all i hear from import cars AND trucks is "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" and i think because of this it diminishes my thoughts on imports, so american muscle all the way!

No TVR? Milefile, you've just gone straight to the top of my hate list! ;)

OK, I take your point about Jaguar, although I do quite like the XJ220, but TVRs have to be in the game. They're just so cool. The Tuscan is one of the best cars in the game, and the Cerbera Speed 12 is just awesome. It is a bit of a handful though.

One of the things I'm looking forward to most about GT4 is the promise of a wider selection of TVRs to play with.

Personally I don't like any of the American cars in the game except for the Viper GTS, but I think they should be in there.

I think milefile's just angered that the Cerbera LM didn't make the trip to GT3...or any of the Cerberas, for that matter!

I don't see the problem about the American cars in GT3, more variety would have been nice, but we really needed extra tuner Skylines and duplicate Evos instead.

Sorry, no room for American cars left, please wait for GT4. Thank you.

i was ofcourse joking when i posted this thread....the GT40 is one of my fave cars, as is the Chrysler Viper and the PT cruiser...

i was just hoping that PD get some other descent racing cars...instead of concentraing on an abundance of underperforming Japanese road cars, make some Lambos and Ferarris and racing Porsches....and if some other company uses these licences then go to the car compaines and offer them a deal, i am sure that there is SOME WAY to get them in the game still respect the deals theyve signed with other games....

wa'dya'fink?

Humm ... . actually there is!! It's called talent!!! Also having a well balanced car doesn't hurt. Used to see plenty of Mustangs and Firebirds take the off-ramps in the rearvue mirror of my defunct 1982 Fiat X1/9 ... problem was I was on th off-ramps, they were in the fields!!!!

Come to think of it .. used to also have as much fun when younger in my Lada 1500 against said same type of cars on country roads:D

Well, yeah that's true... you have to drive but then again that's a whole different story.

I'd say keep those American cars, Lose some Japanese cars and then bring in different cars eg Skoda, Hyundai and Marcos just to ballance it up a bit.

No need to lose anything, just add more and more of the rest.

So long as they are not the same cars.

this game needs more Japanese cars...

10 evos and 10 skylines aint enuff.... I want 50 of each

Im not jumping down on any of you American car lovers because Im not one to bash on someone elses thing. There is no other personal preference in this world that is so strong than cars. So, once said that, I would agree, Im an import person. I have in my garage between 100 and 110 cars, and to be honest, the ONLY one that is American is the Viper GTS-R Team Oreca, and that has about 7 miles on it :D

I have all the american cars except for the PT crusier in my garage, i desperatly missed the muscle cars from GT2. I wanted a cheap 11,000cr challanger so bad in GT3 :(

I LOATH american muscle cars...I am not into japanese tuners either. As far as I am concerned in the game all the skylines, type-rs, corvettes, camaros, mustangs, evos, etc blow (they really blow actually).

I love my Subarus though! Give me any RUF over just about anything. The Zondas just rock. The TVRs are sick. Tommy Kiara is amazing...I do like my japanese race cars though. I like my WRC cars too. I like my Cobra (yes I know it is sorta kinda american) and I love my 187hp Mini...

Part of what rocks about GT3 is it offers alot for everyone no matter what your taste is. It IS scewed a bit to japanese cars but given the game IS from japan that is to be expected.

I personally would like to see some of the following...
-Classic 1950s Euro sportscars (jags, Alfas, Maserattis, ferraris, etc)
- Porshce 911's thru the years (40 years this year)
-More british cars (Vauxhall, Seat)
-More Italian cars (anything red)
-More German Touring cars (race car Audis...we have ALL the japanese supercars, why not)
-LeMans cars (vintage and current)

Oh and given I am a HUGE F1 fan give me post 2000 F1 cars...

FIA sportcar prototypes would be nice, both SR1 and SR2 classes

Get rid of the American cars? I'm from America and I think that the Japanese cars and the European cars need to stay where they're made. Of course some Japanese cars are made in America so if you wanted American cars out of the game you would be getting rid of the cars that you praise and dislike.

I'm an import lover but dun get me wrong. I have to say lose some Japanese cars. I still dun get why they have like 10 versions of a skyline, pretty pointless when they look the same, perform almost the same just a different year. But yah, I dunno much about american car.

My view: Add a bit more internation flavour to it. (e.g. More Benz AMGs, and BMW M series, SLR, MCLARENF1)

Kinda American?

Im guessing you'r kinda dellusional?

The shelby is all American and one of the most important cars in sports history. The cobra changed the face of racing... just ask the people at ferrari. :trouble:

I really actually miss the cobra racer from gt2. That was one of the best cars in the game. (that and the v12 jag. ?-15)

Anyway, I like some of the american stuff in gt. The c5r, the oreca, the z06 & grandsport, the cobra, and even the mustang at times. (that p.o.s mustang :curses: )

So yeah... :sly: Later.
