Z4. Classic long hood-short deck looks and rear drive dynamics.
I think its design will actually stand up to time well which is rare for a BMW.

Z4. The Audi A5 is a handsome looking thing normally however, and it's probably just that particular photo of it but, something looks like it got lost in translation for the styling in ripping the roof off. That looks pretty ungainly to me. The Z4 however is actually very aesthetically pleasing to me. Didn't like the previous gen, but this gen looks fabulous.

A1 vs A45: I'll take the A45, because 4matic.

FR-S vs. 930 911 Carrera vs. 944: Tough choice here, since all three are great cars. It's between the 911 and the FR-S for me since the FR-S is a perfect balance for a daily and a fun car while the 911 is perfect for canyon roads and/or the track on the weekends. For me I'll take both. But I would take the FR-S since it's versatile. 👍

Holden 350 Morano HT vs. Mustang 429: Ugh, tough choice here, but I'll go for the Morano, because Aussie Muscle. :mischievous:👍

Holden Wagon vs. Falcon Wagon: I'll take the Falcon hands down! :)

BMW Z4 vs. Audi A5: I'll have the Z4 without a question. The new Z4 is amazing. 👍

Would You Rather:

2005 Porsche 980 Carrera GT

or

2003 Ferrari F60 Enzo
^ I'll take the 980 hands down. Sure the F60 is a tech wonder, but I'm for purity anyday! I'll bet that the drive will be more immersive on th 980 compared to the F60.

I'm sure that someone has asked about this comparo by now but...

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

Or

Lexus LFA
^ The Ferrari is just a mechandise on wheels its just not the same compared to the (550/575) Maranello. While the LFA is a Ferrari should've been. I'll pick the wail of the LFA.

Would you rather have a:

Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 '70

or a

Ford Mustang GT500 '69

or a

Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69
or a

Pontiac Firebird Trans Am '70
^ The Chevelle doesn't deserve on this list, simply because it's more epic compared to these lowly Pony Cars. To me the Chevelle along with the GTO are real muscle cars! My choice is obvious.

2013 Ferrari 458 Spider

or

2010 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster
^ If only that the Zonda has the 6M/T, it would an easiest choice. But it's the Cinque with that 6S/T (ugh). Despite that, I'd still pick the Zonda as I see 458's everyday here in Vegas and I'm beginning to be sick of it...

2004 Chrysler ME FourTwelve Concept

or

1995 Ford GT90 Concept
^ Lol wut!? A fragile (functioning) concept car against a hardcore full-spec developmental prototype? I'll pick the ME-412!

1972 Ford Gran Torino Sport 429 SCJ 4V (7.0L) V8

375hp/450 lb-ft

vs

1970 Chevrolet Camaro L78 396 (6.6L) V8

375hp/415 lb-ft
^ I'll pick the Gran Torino. Clint Eastwood coolness with that big V8 to impress old folks never fails me! That Camaro is just another Camaro for me. (sorry 'Maro fans)

2013 Audi A1 Clubsport quattro: ($55k)

OR

2014 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG ($50k)
^ I'd pick the A1Cq. It will be much rarer and much more special compared to the A45. Plus in five years the A45 will be all over the place while the A1Cq will be a rarer breed. And the Audi's profile is much more appropriate, the A45 looks like a mess!

How about one I'm actually, can't believe it myself, considering?
2013 Scion FR-S

Late 80s Porsche 911 (930) Carrera (non turbo)

They are about the same price and have about the same hp.

OR, a Porsche 944 with about $19K left over for maintenance (which could get a new Mazda 3 for everyday driving and going to get parts for the Porsche).
^ I love the 930 as much as the next guy, but are you prepared for the classic Porsche adventure of keeping it running and the 944 is no exception here. The FR-S (I much prefer the BRZ), is a faultless choice in this comparo. But you have to make the payments, so pretty much the BreezeFreeze will stay stock for a while. I say: get a cheaper 930 and leave $20K to get a reliable used car and the rest for the 930's upkeep! ;)

Here's another one...

1969 Holden HT 350 Monaro GTS

1969 429 Mustang Fastback
^ The Holden of course! I'd like to see other (American) Muscle Car fans gasp! As their encyclopedic knowledge of these cars gets twisted! Plus right drive V8!!! :D

AMG & GTS(even though I like the Mustang, it's double the price of the Holden)

1974 HQ V8 Sandman

1974 XB Falcon V8 panel van
^ BOTH!!! As they were both unique! And give the Gremlin and Pacer fans the jaw-dropper! :D

Since I'm bored:

BMW Z4 Roadster ($45k)

Audi A5 Convertible ($43k)
^ An open-top originally developed as an open-top is always superior compared to another car that isn't (please see 'Miata', 'Boxster', or 'S2000'). So my obvious pick is the Z4.

BT -> My Turn.

=Developmental Supposed-To-Be Production Cars=

Chrysler ME Four-Twelve/ME-412 '04

Jaguar C-X75 '12
jaguar-c-x75-hybrid-supercar.jpg

^ Both bad-ass in their own respect! Sadly, they will never see production.

:)

OR

2014 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG ($50k)

Personally, I'd pick the Mercedes. What about you guys?

Audi. Just cooler.

Edit: and if I'm not wrong, that is a picture of the concept. The one with the 5-cylinder engine. So...

Z4 for the long bonnet, short deck. Roadsters can't be beat.

1981 LANCIA ZAGATO $4500-$5000(my brother had one like this back in '84) :)

E21 BMW Baur $5500

ME-412 vs. C-X75: Ugh, two of my favorite working concepts..... I'll take them BOTH! :D

And just in case Van, you forgot another badass and respectable concept car.....Mazda Fuari. ;)👍

Wish all three would be produced as supercars or racing machines. :(

Lancia vs. BMW: Hmmm, I'll take the BMW.

A5 vs Z4: I'll have the A5. It's a better cruiser and you can just fit four people in it.

ME-FourTwelve vs GT90: I'll take the ME-FourTwelve. It was ridiculously fast and fun to drive in Test Drive Unlimited.

ME-FourTwelve vs CX-75: Jag without question. It's hybrid powertrain is astonishing and it came oh-so-close to making production.

'13 Audi A1 Clubsport Quattro vs. '14 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG

I'd rather have the Audi

'13 FRS vs. Late 80s 911 Carrera (Non Turbo) vs. Porsche 944 (with $19K left over)

I'd rather have the Porsche 944 with $19K left over. Depending on the condition of the 944, I'd probably purchase an Evo 8/9, Mazdaspeed3, or STi (GD) and save up for one of Renegade Hybrid's V8 conversions for the 944. All the while, enjoying the 944 for what it is.

'69 Holden HT 350 Monaro GTS vs. '69 Ford Mustang 429 Fastback

Wouldn't mind owning both, but I'd rather have Fastback especially with that 429.

'74 HQ V8 Sandman vs. '74 XB Falcon V8 Panel Van

The Sandman looks like a hearse and I hate hearses. The Falcon doesn't look any better but if I had to choose between the two, I'd rather have the Falcon.

BMW Z4 Roadster vs. Audi A5 Convertible

I'd rather have the Z4, unless the A5 is hardtop convertible.

'04 Chrysler ME Four-Twelve vs. '12 Jaguar C-X75

I'll take the Jag :sly:

'81 Lancia Zagato vs. E21 BMW Baur

I don't know much about either of these cars and with that being said, I'd rather have the Lancia.

'05 Saleen S7 Twin Turbo

Oh crap this one is tough. The Nardo was pretty crazy with its top speed but the Saleen is a GT1 race car with plates.

But my personality is unashamedly American, so Saleen it is. Its rawness is something truly special, cage it, put on a wing, diveplanes, slicks and show up on race day.

Also prefer they way it looks.

BMW Z4 vs. Audi A5 Convertible - Z4, the A5 is one of the few Audis I don't like.

Chrysler ME Four-Twelve vs. Jaguar C-X75 - Jag, I like the ME-412 a little bit, I like the C-X75 a lot.

Lancia Zagato vs. BMW Baur - BMW, I like it a lot better than the Lancia, although the Lancia is rarer.

Volkswagen W12 Nardo Concept vs. Saleen S7 TT - Long wheelbase cars with 50+ vents, huh? I'll take the 'Murikan car.

Volkswagen W12 vs Saleen S7 -
I'm sorry, but who here wants a Bugatti alternative with a Volkswagen badge on it? Volkswagen make good, maybe even great, hatchbacks and saloons, but I don't want a VW hyper car, thanks very much. You could argue that VW own Audi, who own Lamborghini, but the people who design and engineer Volkswagens do not design and engineer Lamborghinis, they simply share the same corporate owner. I can just never be into a "sports car" made by Volkswagen.
Saleen, on the other hand, make cars that firstly look stunning in real life, and secondly, have mass amounts of power. So the Saleen it is.

I'll have the Volkswagen. The Saleen makes all sorts of claims about it's performance (Twin Turbo claims 250mph+) but I was told by a friend that it has never been driven past 170mph as it was too scary. With the VW, you get solid German precision engineering and rock solid build quality so the driver can be assured that they can max it. If only the W12 supercar made production.

The Vanishing Boy - I've definitely considered the cost of maintaining an old Porsche. From a cost standpoint, they also have the benefit of being one of the few cars that are now appreciating while being new enough to run on unleaded fuel and being fairly efficient about it (as opposed to, say, 60s muscle cars). But I wouldn't go for the 930 turbo and instead opt for the good old, naturally aspirated, air-cooled 911. (Of course the 944 has a water cooled engine up front, but I'd chose a NA engine there, too).

As for the FR-S or BRZ, I'd most likely get the Scion because there's an excellent dealer in my area, whereas all but one of the Subaru dealers are run by a chain with very sleazy business practices. The only other dealer is very small and was sold to another local chain a bit ago. I don't know about them, but I did e-mail and ask about the availability of BRZs a while back. Their response was essentially forget it, unless I was willing to pay more over MSRP than anyone else, then they might see what they could do.
---
But back to the choices:
- Jaguar vs Chrysler concept - Jaguar, because hopefully the company is still capable of great things while Chrysler is mainly good at ruining ideas (like the Prowler and Crossfire). Well, there's the Viper, but Carroll Shelby's no longer around and Bob Lutz is doing other things.
- Lancia vs BMW - The E21, both cars look awesome, but you'll probably have a much easier time fixing the BMW. (Things have changed a bit since those days, huh?)
- VW W12 vs Saleen - Tough, but I'll give the nod to Saleen just for being a comparatively independent group of brilliant people.
- Turbo diesel wagons - The Mercedes, because it looks pretty cool and Mercedes has a good history of building diesel engines. Also, any BMW with an automatic is wrong, as is any Jaguar that doesn't make you feel like driving it while wearing large sunglasses.

A truck vs a car? Il have the Impala. The way it looks in the front makes you take a second look at it. And the wheels match the paint perfectly.

Turbo Diesel Wagons
  • BMW 535d M Sport Touring
  • Jaguar XF 3.0D S Sportbrake
  • Mercedes CLS 350 CDI Shooting Brake

I don't know much about these wagons, but given that they're all luxurious I'll go with the most luxurious wagon of the bunch. I'll take the Merc.

'14 Silverado High County vs. '14 Impala LTZ

No offense to the Impala but I'd rather have the High County as long as it is equipped with the 6.2L instead of the 5.3L.
