Just got it and quite impressed. Car handling feels better than demo and the WRC cars are easy to spin.

And that Blue Mini is sexy :drool:

Car customization in Road To Glory is nice as well... BTCC Yuasa Honda going rallying :D

Also as a tribute I named my co-driver Michael Park :)

And bad news Katie, I didn't see a Ken Block Fiesta.
 
I also find the handling better than in the demo. Really like it so far. OK graphics and sound are better in Dirt3. But stages and handling are better in WRC3.
 
The Portugal stages are so narrow its ridiculous, that village part..

Liking car customization, doing some replicas of famous cars.
 
Well at least not as wide is in other games. You have to be on the ball all the time. I like that.

👍 That Road To Glory stage with Portugal and WRC cars, the final corner of stage 1, I went straight onto into a ditch and vaulted my mini into the air. And did it again when that segment of road was on Stage 2....

Speaking of which, Mini Cooper is DLC isn't it?
 
Yeah, I got the Mini DLC free with my pre-order, and I think you'll be able to buy it from the PSN store soon. My review so far:

The loading times are really long in this game, the experts from Amazon.co.uk say the loading will be finished between the 19th and 24th of October! Still, they misread my order and I saved over 6pounds so I'm cool with the wait :p
 
I just picked it up for my PS3, pre order from gamestation. They didn't have my mini code, apparently it wasn't sent to them, only the xbox codes were sent. Bloody annoyed. Dude told me to email the powers that be. I had to tell him to give my pre order receipt back for proof.

Have you tried the CSR in PS3 mode. Should be recognised as a G25. I know my CSR Elite works much better in F1 2012 on PC when in PS3 mode.

I'll try it; I had to do that with pCARS in previous builds in order to get acceptable FFB.

As far as F1 2012 goes, CSR works fine in PC mode. But, there is always something us Fanatec guys have to do in order for our wheels to work.

WRC cars, Col De Turini - heavy damage.

My time, in Loeb Citroen DS3, 3:10.3 (controller) - can you beat that?

Flawless for me other than scraping wall on last turn of the stage and losing 0.5 there.

Wondering if anyone can help. I downloaded the demo on pc. Configured my wheel in the controls. After i set the gas pedal, it scrolled up endlessly till i confirmed the changes. In the game, when it starts, without touch the pedals it throws reverse on full.

i have the porsche fanatec gt2. similar to the gt3, should work...

GT2 doesn't work on PC/Xbox? On PS3 it emulates a G27 I think.

Surely if the GT3 is working the GT2 is.
What platform doesn't the GT2 work on?
 
Tried the demo today and I have to say it plays better on PC than PS3 with the same bloody controller. There's no huge input lag and the steering animation in the cockpit is more accurate. Cars feel strange under braking though, I think it's more realistic with the ABS ('braking help') on.
 
PC version, crashes on startup, unless choosing 'disable audio'..

Quick google and quite many having the same issue, what the hell.. do they even test these games before releasing..?

Also keyboard up arrow doesnt work in the menu. :dunce:

Try a re-install; I know, I know pain in the side.

Are you trying to use a wheel as well? It was doing the same thing for me except with the down arrow key; unplugged my wheel and rebooted and no problem.

No they didn't test it.... obviously. They put no time into the PC version besides the option to enable FSAA and V-sync, which isn't even working properly for me.

I don't know I don't own a GT2; the CSR is not working on PC.

Just because a GT3 is supported doesn't mean a GT2 is; they are entirely different wheels.

Also, why the f did I just get done racing a cartoon helicopter? I have never seen something look so out of place before lol.

Overall, this game is fun; handling is definitely too forgiving but eh... It has a lot of things wrong with it, but I can live with it.

PS3 players - how does WRC3 manage save files? WRC2 created a new save file for each ghost and was stupidly annoying. Hoping WRC3 consolidates them, but it's not a make or break thing, just curious.

I've had no issues with the pc version yet. It also picked up my wheel straight away and it's not listed as supported (Momo force).

Really enjoying it so far.
 
Does anyone know when the Mini is out on the UK PS store? I thought that the mini was day 1 DLC. The reason i ask is although i pre ordered this game the shop that I chose didn't have the pre order bonus code for it. Its not a big problem though only cost 99p and will probably be on the store next week.
 
I pre-ordered this from Zavvi.com and they didn't even dispatch it on the day of release - it's still "awaiting stock pick" - poor show. Guess I'll be waiting a few days then. That's totally changed my weekend.

About the PS3 version of WRC 3 ... The game is a huge, huge improvement from the 2 previous games! It's really a good buy in my view.
The tracks are good, the cars are not bad modified. Still some trouble with the feel of the weight of the cars ... but I played it only with a pad for now. But I presume there won't be that much difference - maybe you can feel something through the FFB of the wheel - heavy/light in turns.
