Oh yeah but in that race the car isn't exactly the best group B car. I think I did it after playing a bit with the set up

Im enjoying this game a lot! i havent been on WRC experience much yet but im making progress in the road to glory, i think ive got around 250 points, its a bit challenging at times but thats what i like about it..i wouldnt really enjoy it if it was easy!

A quick question..who is that women who voices the tutorials? she sounds familiar!

I've only tried one of the Mexico stages and one in Wales within the WRC experience myself. Wales in the rain was fun and I have some fine screenshots from that now. I'll post some up here sometime tomorrow.

Online multiplayer is great! The driving physics are spot on in this game, really enjoy attacking the tarmac stages.

Good to hear, as online was always strong on the previous two.

I see a few names up there already who I've raced against before. Some have put some serious hours down already, being at level 95...

Also good to see the cheat times on the stage records getting taken down.

Yea some of them know all of the stages already and have spent far too much time playing.

Only problem with the online multiplayer is that the host of a session is the creator only so if they leave the session everyone gets disconnected. Also once you create a session you can't alter the settings later on.

Yeah, I'd forgotten about the annoying disconnect thing at the end of a rally.

For anyone interested, the screen shot mode seems better than before. Only a few samples here but enough to get an idea of the atmosphere.

In the main menu there is a credits section alongside the screenshots you have saved. Maybe her name is there.

I tried both PC and PS3, the FFB on the ps3 is softer than PC, I always felt this in other games, I have the DFGT, is it something related to the PC/ps3 or related to the game ?

wos man, on your pc it looks a few notches better than on my ps3. Milestone should have done the marketing with such movies.

That stage is great fun Adrian - I like the other way though (La Pampa) which is my current favourite - plenty of straights with jumps along with hairpins and tight forest stretches and rocks...the damn rocks :)

My regular supermarket and its rivals don't even stock this title.
Along with terrible reviews I feel sorry for the development team.
Fair enough Rally may have lost its sheen in recent years and needs a makeover to bring back the glory days but its still the official WRC license were talking about here. That should count for something.

Personally I'm waiting for the inevitable price drop and will get it from amazon. I feel I should pay full price but money is tight at the moment.
Definately on my radar.

This game is a hidden gem. And honestly for me best driving game on PS3 in 2012.

Yea there is no hiding the fact that it's been developed on a limited budget but this is a great game. The handling physics are what makes it so good.

I was going to buy f1 2012, but that game is absolutely riddled with game breaking bugs. I have not found a single bug in this game that affects gameplay.

OK I have been playing this game for a few weeks now and I'm loving it but I have some issues. The problems are really not that big but when your having a bad day they seem to multiply my rage very quick.

1) On the PS3 before the race sometimes triangle= car setup and square= objectives. Then on other races triangle= objectives and square= car setup. This could be due to single events and rally events but still in my opinion thats just sloppy work.

2) When I setup my car before the race and don't save that setup when I restart the event due to a crash I have to set in up again. Now thats fine but then I was doing the 4th driver battle and it kept my setup when I restarted?

Where is the consistency it seems like a bunch of people all put bits of this game together but all in different ways. None of this effects the game play but it just doesn't give the game the polish it could do with.

I can't say for certain but it seems to keep the set-up I put in for all restarts. I will say that I'm choosing an already saved set-up instead of manually tweaking what the game gives us - it's only when you leave the race that it'll revert to those default settings.

Like I say though, I'm just guessing as I like a fierce handbrake setting and this always seems to stay when I'm doing re-runs instead of becoming the slack default suddenly. I'm also on PS3 by the way.

A shame there are still only ten save slots for custom set-ups. This has been annoying me throughout the three games so far as it makes using set-ups online difficult as you really only end up with custom settings for the WRC class on all of the different surfaces by the end, and that makes it a pain if you fancy running a RWD race online.

Otherwise all is good and I'm still having lots of fun.

Yeah what I mean is I go to setup and just manually change the settings without choosing a custom setup. Next time you play just try changing something and note what it was before and after then restart from the pause menu and check the settings. But yes I agree it is still loads of fun and it gives me a real buzz when I blitz a stage.

Yes, this. 👍

It really is a lot of fun. I'm playing on the PC with a G27 and all assists off. The stages are great and the competitions' times are definitely a challenge. I started with the difficulty all the way up and couldn't come anywhere close so I put it back to the middle setting and I'm slowly working it back up.

There are some very technical stages and overall they are worlds better than the ones found in Dirt 2 and 3. I'm not sure what the reviewers at IGN and Eurogamer were smoking but the cars feel great, especially if you have a wheel to take advantage.

Lack of triple screen may be a con for some but otherwise the game looks great on the PC. I personally haven't run into any bugs or glitches. You can use up to the full 900 degrees on your wheel if you use the logitech profiler settings and don't allow the game to adjust settings... although using anything over 360 seems crazy due to the difficulty of the stages and the quick direction changes that are necessary.

For $40 the digital download from amazon was a steal.

Has anyone completed the road to glory? Does it unlock any other features because at the moment the only way to drive the non current WRC cars is in the pre determined road to glory events which is ridiculous.

You should be able to drive any car on any stage whenever you want, and same goes for online multiplayer which is also limited to WRC, class2 and class 3.

Still loving this game though, having a great time beating guys that are level 50-99 when i'm level 20-30 and don't many of the stages ;)

There is a free drive mode, it's just weirdly hidden. You have to press a button when you're in the Road to Glory menu, it might be F1 on the PC version.

I can't find anything?

Online hosting system is rather annoying at times, nothing worse than the host disconnecting when your mid way through a stage!

Can anyone else weigh in on this? I'm pretty sure I'm not making it up but I can't check for myself as I'm not at home right now.

It is in road to glory mode, at select stage screen, look on bottom of screen.

Yep, on road to glory in the stage select screen before an event, you can press square button on PS3 to do a free run, using any car on any stage.

For anyone else having the problem with the last 3 head to heads, you have to use automatic gearbox to do those stages.

Heard that there are no Xbox 360 NTSC versions of this game out, thats gonna make alot of people angry.

Also, any residents in the US know where to get this game?

Yeah, I chanced upon that in Road to Glory too, I think just before one of the early head-to-head races (I must have pressed the wrong symbol) so I backed out and carried on with that.

I do remember thinking it was a cool option designed to let you get some practise in maybe. I didn't know about the any stage any car option though as it defaulted to the special stage I was about to do.

The devs are good at hiding menu choices, but you get used to them :)

None that I know of for consoles. You can get the digital download for PC via Amazon but that's about it as far as I know.

I've imported a few games from there without issue, and other than eBay it might be the only place you can get it. Since the previous two didn't get a NA release, I doubt this one will either.

Well darn. I would get it but as with any current PC racing game, My laptop will very likely not be able to run it.
