Can anyone else weigh in on this? I'm pretty sure I'm not making it up but I can't check for myself as I'm not at home right now.

I see it now, that has to be the weirdest place to put it. It should be an option from the MAIN menu or at least from the Road to glory main menu. I had seen that "free run" option beforehand but since it's within a specific event you would think it was a free run for that event only.

Edit: Actually it does restrict you to only the stages within that Road to glory section. So you do need to unlock the areas in order to drive anywhere in any car.

Heard that there are no Xbox 360 NTSC versions of this game out, thats gonna make alot of people angry.

Also, any residents in the US know where to get this game?

I pre-ordered my PS3 disc from GAME.co.uk and got it after 2 weeks.

I've imported a few games from there without issue, and other than eBay it might be the only place you can get it. Since the previous two didn't get a NA release, I doubt this one will either.

Yep, I imported the PS3 version from Amazon UK and received it in about a week. Not too bad at all. Works perfectly fine.

I did a check on the credits and it came up with Alix Wilton-Regan who has done a few game voices it seems - maybe from there?

She isn't credited on iMDB but they seem to be pretty behind these days.
 
Hmm ok well i still dont recognise her from those games..probably because i havent played them!:dopey:

Ive seen that face before though..must have seen her when she was on casualty as i used to watch that..thanks!👍:)

It's quite crazy that on the leaderboards, the demo stage is the least attempted one in the game itself. It has currently something like 4,000 or so players who have put a time down; instead of anywhere between 6,000 to 11,000 for quite a few other stages.

Having lots of fun in between doing the Road to Glory by trying out other stages in countries not yet visited (I'm only at level 126 and part way through the second 'season'.) The Alsace stages are great and you almost don't recognise the old Finland tracks which feel more open and sweeping :) I'm also loving Wales in the rain.

EDIT: Actually, talking of DLC I can't seem to find it on PSN...I think it was on this thread there was a mention of how to navigate the new style PS Store but having read through the past twelve or so pages I think I must have imagined it. Anyone who did not pre-order succeed in finding the Mini yet?

I haven't tried this mod yet but the guys on ISR mentioned it this week. It's supposed to make the physics more advanced/accurate.

It improves physics dramatically 👍 and is only 0.5v, so expect it to become even better in future mod updates....

all we need now is the triple screen and fov mod which ec are working on now and we have a winner :)

I knew modders would come to the rescue, they always do. It would be great if they worked out how to add or change the cars and/or stages, then someone could port RSRBR! That would be brilliant.

Never! It could happen, it just might take some years, such is the usual progress with mods. I'm surprised we've got a physics mod already! That reminds me, I downloaded it but haven't installed it yet, I need to give that a go.

Found it! Or maybe the beast has only just been approved/added by Sony.

For anyone else wondering, in the store go to games/PS3 add ons/scroll across to latest add ons/filter for add on type/vehicle

Now for the fun :)

I think the PSN store search is broken. If you search WRC it brings up the original games DLC and thats it. But if you manually search all the add ons you find the DLC for WRC 2 and WRC 3.

oh and does anyone else find them events were you have to smash blocks a bit stupid? The first few are easy enough but on the later ones they put 2 blocks really far apart on a straight bit of road. I think the idea is to drift past them sideways but of straight road were are you supposed to go after you got them? Off the cliff?

You don't have to get both, just the higher value one. I've never gotten both yet always managed to pass the stage. Just wait until the later smash challenges where score blocks are hidden behind black blocks and you get more than one pair of gates on one turn (forcing you to take a perfect line even when you can't see the next pair), or even the combo challenges! Drifting with black blocks on the outside of the turn really helps you focus, that's for sure. Great fun!

Yeah, you can usually miss a block or two and still get the highest score as long as you don't hit any of the negative blocks and get through the course quickly.

It's amazing how poor that is. I found the Mini, but can you use it outside the Road to Glory as well?

Oh no that sounds really fun lol glad I only need about 80 points more to unlock the last car and I still have a possible 130 ish left.

And dchPSUone don't you have to hit every block to get the 5 stars? On the early events when I could get every block it got me the exact score I needed to get 5 stars.

I don't know were the mini can be used I am about 60p short on funds and don't fancy getting a £20 gift card for it. The description on PSN only mentioned road to glory but I would assume you can use it in free run.
 
I think I'm on 90% completion now, but some of the... What are they called, ability points? Whatever, the scores you need for some of them are crazy. I've just done a special stage in France, gave it a pretty good go, noticed I was getting pretty much no points for drifting for some reason even though I was giving it a good go (handbraking around almost every corner) and I got 300 points for first place and perfect sections at every checkpoint and the full bonus at the end... My score was 3800, the third star was for 5600! I suppose I just need to go properly nuts, completely disregard my position, roll at every opportunity and get as many destruction and drift points as possible.

Also, the combo challenge in New Zealand is really easy, Greece had some much harder challenges than that. The drifting one in NZ is great fun too because it has the little loop bit where you go under a bridge, nailing a decent drift around that is a nice feeling (even though it's pretty straightforward). Yeah, I really like this game, much more than I thought I would.
 
yeah neema totally disregard you position and just go for points. There is a cheap trick I use were I destroy every bit of that orange plastic fence stuff every piece is worth 25 points. It doesn't sound like a lot but a section can get you a few hundred points.

Any 70's event MarcoM, plus the WRC Experience. I did find that trying to change the livery froze the game on me, twice.

What do you mean? I saw your earlier post and that prompted me to check the PS store and I found it like you said. I was just stating what I found in case other people were looking for dlc for the other games.
