Anybody going for this game? I haven't played a rally game for years but this one is looking quite nice. The graphics are not that good but good enough for me if the gameplay is nice.

The release is October 12th.

Had a go at the demo currently on the XBL Marketplace and I have to say I'm really impressed, I don't usually like rally games (I had a bit of fun on the first Colin McRae: DIRT game but then it just got worse) and this one felt brilliant after a few adjustments although it did take me a few tries to get used to the handling.

Might pick this up some time after release because there are too many good games coming out at this time of the year.

Oh the demo is out? Nice. Going to try it tonight when I get home from work! :D What button do you use to e-brake? (Asuming you use a wheel)

Not happy with the FFB at all, there is zero feel and its the same feeling on tarmac and gravel

I don't use a wheel but on the controller it's A, I could probably give this a go on PS3 with my wheel but my PS3 downloads really slow and I'm slowly moving over to Xbox.

It does feel like you have way too much grip on the gravel, the car will barely slide at all. Also the co-driver doesn't always tell you what is coming up so I changed the settings to show the track map at the top of the screen and take a quick glance every now and then. It feels so good when you absolutely nail a whole sector on this game, even better than a whole lap on Forza.

Is this even getting released in the North American market? For some reason, I thought the other previous games weren't released here.

another thing I would recommend is to turn of the look to apex if using cockpit view

Got the game feeling great on the wheel now
settings:
sens 360
ffb 100
shock 100
drift 2
abs 85

ingame

steering dead zone 0
steering lin 2 clicks
ffb strength 3 clicks

Clicks to the left or right?

I'm playing the game now and I like it. Had to get a feel for it, drives totally different than what I'm used to. What is the release date of this game?

Very nice!! :D I have to practice a bit more before I can show off  You are 10 seconds faster than me! 👍

Saw that on my YT page, great driving even though you did make a few mistakes. My PB is 4:20 right now which seems kind of slow after you look on Youtube and see some guy getting a 4:08.

I tried the demo but didn't really like it... Or more specifically didn't like the physics. I've played Richard Burns Rally quite a lot in the past so that has kind of set the "handling standards" for me. This felt a bit too arcadey for me: felt like the cars had too much grip and you can't make the tail step out one bit :( Probably a fun game if you don't mind those things and get used to the handling! 👍

Have you liked it now that you've had more time to play it, hennessey and guys?

It's so much better than the demo for one, they have improved the physics for the Tarmac rally's and the gravel ones are much better as well, rent it first but I reckon you will like it with the improvements they have made and I don't think any rally game will ever beat RBR

Well, I haven't bothered to check any reviews yet.

Folks who have played the game ought to share their impressions, as WRC3 might take away the sheer disappointment I had to deal with after purchasing Horizon!

Isn't the demo still available? I got it from there. I liked the game but I wasn't sure this is my type of driving, it's a totally different driving style and I had a hard time adjusting :p

Well, as long as it's realistic rally driving, and contains none of the crap associated with fun/arcade racing games, I'm getting it. Graphics are not really a selling point for me. It's mainly engine sounds/race effects and physics.

Input anyone?
