And what does that have to do with anything I just said?

At all?

Point made. You think I'm out to belittle. Nothing I post will taken in context when your are pegged already.

Thanks, removing my subscription to this thread. Nothing coming from this but more attacks on me.

Excuse me, but what? I honestly don't see what you were getting at by mentioning I'm a photographer.

Unless you were meaning to say I take pictures of things to hang them on walls. And yes, I collect things with my camera and have photos of cars. Which is entirely different from buying a car and putting it in a room in my house to never move again.

I really do hope that wasn't what you were going for though.

Last one, actually, was going to comment in keeping these cars around in their original glory from a photographers outlook One would of thought you would want these cherished and saved for photoshoots in the many years to come.

Seriously, you wouldn't jump at the chance to shoot someone's collection of rare and collectible cars if invited. You know cars you may never see in person. Ever.

Again I can respect many aspects and angles on this subject. May not agree. But that is what makes thing interesting.

As for posting:
I got sucked into a slight tissy earlier with Famine. Nothing serious. I took his post out of context and personal. That happens. It is text with no emotional cues after all.

Literally did remove subscription to thread Happen to see it bumped on current posts. Figured I'd give you the decency of a reply.

Now I am truly out. . Hopefully. LoL

I have little interest in taking pictures of cars behind ropes that many other people had taken pictures of. I could look at another, no doubt excellent, photo of the very same car and get the same feeling. I don't care to look at those photos much though because it is just boring.

"Oh look, a car next to some other cars behind some rope. These use to do exciting things but now they just sit here."

Would much rather take pictures of people actually driving the damn things any day, and keeping those.

But I do appreciate you making assumptions on what I must be interested in and care about based on some very limited information.

Except you're not respecting anyone's angles, you're genuinely disrespecting them. Play the ball, not the man.

The damn ropes are always in the way, the lighting messes with things, and...

.. And yet you get the same feeling of respect towards the guys who took them to the limit and kept them there during the heyday of these machines.

Well, on toy cars, I've started to leave them on their stands for display. Why? So that I can save those for admiring, and then if I get lucky enough to own one of those cars, I can drive it, while still having a replica to display.

Personally, I think a car should be out doing what it's purpose was. If it's a Prius, then it should be to get you from A to B with good gas milage. If it's a Ferrari it should be enjoyed. Not stuck tethered to the floor until eternity.
