Expect Jakub Gerber is to be his co-driver. He has already been announced for his ERC duties. The only rounds in the ERC & WRC that clash is the WRC in Spain from 24-26 Oct and the ERC round in Switzerland from 23-25 Oct. The WRC round starts the day after the ERC round and it ends the day after the WRC round ends.

I thought RK was only doing 1 ERC round this season (the first one)

btw his co-driver is listed as Maciej Szcepaniak on ewrc-results for Janner Rallye.

I predict Volkswagen will dominate 2014 too. Ogier and Latvala are both very experienced, and they know exactly what their car can and can't do, which is quite an advantage.

Citroën's lineup with Meeke and Østberg doesn't look as strong to me, they should be happy if they can get a podium finish.

Hirvonen in the Ford looks to me like the only threat to VW, after all he's now the most experienced driver in the championship (bar Delecour, arguably), and I just don't see Evans taking a podium. Maybe in Wales, but that's about it.

Hyundai is the unknown variable. While they did enter (with very little success) for a few years in the early '00s, the regulations regarding the cars were completely different then. However, if they get up to speed relatively fast, I can see them taking a few podium positions. They have the drivers for it, after all Sordo was more or less raised in the rallying world by El Matador and Loeb.

No idea mate. I haven't read the news for a long time. It is only now I am beginning to get news of 2014. It is only now I am aware Jan Kopecky has left; it is to do the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship. Sad. But I hope new stars will be made in 2014. Not that I know anything about the confirmed drivers. But Skoda will join the R5 revolution so hopefully they will be strong.

Do we know anything about the new Clio Renaultsport's R3T? Which teams will be running it or who will be driving?

Breen and Tideman have been confirmed.

Citroen are also taking over the Junior WRC, with the category moving from Fiesta R2s to the DS3 R3T.

The morning loop at Janner has finished with Kajetanowicz leading from Robert Kubica and Vaclav Pech. Stage 4 looks like it will shake that up a little though...

Kubica is still in the lead at the end of the first day of the Janner Rallye.

And the same at the end of the 2nd day too, he made a great tyre call on the last stage of the rally to take over 30 seconds from Pech and win!

A preliminary entry list for Rally Sweden has been published. In addition to Craig Breen and Pontus Tideman, Henning Solberg and Michal Solowow will also be driving Fiestas.

UK viewers rejoice. BT Sport will be broadcasting the WRC in 2014 including two stages of the Monte Carlo rally LIVE!

Only if you actually have BT Sport. Though ITV4 will be showing extensive highlights of each round. Don't know how much longer after the event but it will be sometime in the next week I would imagine.

Lets see him keep it up. Conditions are expected to change rapidly and repeatedly, especially as they cross over the Cols.

Well I have to say the first day was a great start to the 2014 WRC season.

Good for UK viewing that two Brits are in the top ten after day 1, and if anyone in the UK is unaware BT Sports have the UK TV rights this year (with highlights each night and the live rights as well - how that will play out remains to be seen - edited to add Live stuff appears to be around midday each day), with Motors.tv retaining highlights as well. BT Sports however seem to the only way to get HD (so my Tivo is on overdrive right now).

I am aware. Not that it helps me. I don't have it. I do have Cricfree. But ITV4 will sometime next week be showing highlights.

And Kubica has reportedly crashed out.

Yep, Kris Meeke saw his car off the road by a bridge. Both driver and co-driver are unhurt.

More importantly Bryan Bouffier also spun and needed help from the spectators to get going again, he is now 11s behind Ogier.

That power stage was great!

Will try and remember to watch the other rallies live on BT Sport. 👍

Poor Hirvonen, running out of electricity on the very last stage.

Final results:
1) Ogier
2) Bouffier
3) Meeke
4) Ostberg
5) Latvala
6) Evans
7) Mikkelsen
8) Melicharek

Matteo Gamba and Yuriy Protasov will finish 9th and 10th if nothing unexpected happens.
