Do what? They won't enter any series alongside Citroën because Citroën and Peugeot are linked through PSA.

I didn't say that, but that has been done before.

What Im saying is I expect Peugeot to announce some series they are to join in soon what that is im unsure.

Otherwise Loeb switching to Peugeot permanetly just to do Dakar doesn't make much sense.

It might also be for Loeb to go to Brazil Stock car or TC2000(Series that Peugeot has factory presence) but that is just me guessing as he seems like he wants to stay with Circuit Racing.

So 2001-2005 doesn't count for anything then?

I see your point, but as @mustafur said, it's been done before so you could never entirely rule out it happening again.

With that being said, I seriously doubt Peugeot will go to WRC anytime soon.

I could see them entering TCR or something like that to keep him happy, but I just feel like Loeb's future may lie away from the PSA Group as a whole.

He has moved from Citroen to Peugeot so he is still a PSA Driver.

If Loeb is considering a move to Peugeot for Dakar, could a seat in the semi-factory Peugeot-Hansen team in the FIA World Rallycross Championship not be too far-fetched?

It's certain that they will keep Timmy on after the year he has had, and most likely Jeanney as well. They definitely have the budget to run three, perhaps even four cars full-time under a 'B-Team', with Kevin Hansen (who is wildcarding at Argentina) a likely candidate for a seat after winning the Lites title.

It's an outside possibility, but one that would most certainly increase the publicity of World RX, and also allow Loeb to compete in a series full-time for 2016 as well as Dakar.

I was about to say.

World Rallycross is the go-to thing for... well, everyone from all walks these days.

EDIT Not to mention, Loeb has driven for Hansen more than once. Remember X Games 18, and the 2013 Rallycross of France?

10 years on. RIP Richard Burns.

Gone, never forgotten, and very much missed by the rallying and indeed motorsports community.

Ott Tänak will leave M-Sport and return to DMACK, the team he drove for part-time in 2014; they will contest the entire 2016 season as a full manufacturer.

And his M Sport replacement is Eric Camilli (who?) , with Ostberg returning.

Promising rookie in WRC-2. Toyota reportedly had an eye on him.
Actually, slight update on this - Camilli wasn't simply being eyed off by Toyota; he was Toyota's test driver this year. The M-Sport drive looks like a means of getting him some experience ahead of the Yaris' début in 2017.

Wondering where Evans will land. My guess is a part-time programme with M-Sport, the second DMACK or a privateer team.

Anyone running Citroens in a semi-works capacity (like Kronos did in the Xsara/C4 interim year?

There's no word on it yet. The DS3 is still available as a customer car (although Citroën are notorious for only providing the car where the likes of M-Sport offer so much more), and they're open to running selected events.

PH Sport have been running one for Stephane Lefebvre towards the end of this year so I imagine they'll be doing the same next year.

Co-driver silly season seems to have overtaken driver silly season at the moment with Mads not having confirmed a replacement for Jonas Andersson yet, who has joined Pontus Tidemand in EVEN Management

Meeke to Toyota? really? Why not get some younger talents instead? How about Pontus Tidemand or Esapekka Lappi?
I don't think Lappi would have accepted Toyota deal yet even if they had approached him about it. He is basically the next driver for Volkswagen, and there's no guarantee that Volkswagen will keep all their 3 drivers to 2017.

Ola Floene parts company with Andreas Mikkelsen and will be joining Mads Ostberg for the 2016 season. This is madness.

Does that rear door open?
I'm pretty sure the rules say they have to, even though the driver and co-driver actually sit further back in the car than they would in a road-going variant. At the very least, it would give the mechanics access to the rear of the car.

Robert Kubica has confirmed that he will contest the Rallye Monte Carlo in a customer Fiesta RS. However, his plans beyond that are unclear.

Pardon the quadruple post, but it seems that there is some degree of confusion of Kubica's Monte Carlo entry - although the paperwork was submitted with him driving an M-Sport prepared Fiesta RS, the director of Citroën's customer programme, PH Sport, has been quoted as saying that Kubica will switch to a DS3 this year. I will endeavour to find out more.

Couldn't find anything more on Kubica's 2016 car choice. I guess we'll have to wait for the final Monte Carlo entry list to know more.

In the meantime, Sébastien Loeb is returning to the WRC ... but he's not driving. Sébastien Loeb Racing is expanding to enter a J-WRC car. The identity of the driver has not been revealed as yet, but curiously enough given how Loeb's WTCC career ended, SLR is staying with Citroën and entering an R3 DS3. Mind you, it's not like they had much choice - everyone in the J-WRC has to use the R3 DS3. Citroën out-bid M-Sport a few years ago, replacing the R2 Fiesta with a more powerful car that effectively made the WRC-3 and J-WRC the same championship and gave Citroën access to the young driver pool, which many at the time suspected was their plan all along.
