WRX STi vs. THE WORLD??

Right, I've got a 1'23.665 in a 506bhp T350C, I'm pretty sure, in fact certain a better driver can do less than 1'21 in that car. What I need to test, when I get more time, is can I beat 1'23 in the Impreza spec C, I'm guessing that I can't, that 1'21 time is very quick for any 500bhp car. Out of interest, would you happen to have a maxdrive or any similar device?

Famine is correct, Torque isn't as important on Opera with it being so flat.

Thats a good time. Congrats! 1'23 -> 1'21 seperate the men from the boys :). But still with a 1'23 we can assume the T350C is a leading competitor! Good Choice.
 
What you ought to do is get a few of the WSR league 1 racers to try this, I'm far from the best driver out there, in some WRS events I'm 5 seconds off the top time.

yea its a good idea, but im' not gonna go outta my way to grab someone that might not be interested lol.. i'll just let those that want to test there skills to try it. Also the SUBBY isnt Fully Modified.. its mostly stage 2 parts, Including Suspension, and weight.. keeping this in mind the subby can go faster :).

Torque = Mass x distance = lbft.
Power = Mass x distance / time = lbft/s = hp.

Opera is a flat track with very little prolonged acceleration. Correct gears >>>> pots of torque.

Quite right, torque at the driven wheels = engine torque * current gear ratio * final drive ratio (minus drivetrain losses of course).

Get the gears right and as long as the engine is flexiable enough then on a flat track you are good to go.

I still believe an M3 CSL may be able to provide a decent challenge, might have to give it a go.

I would think the Spec C's arch rival - The EVO 8MR - might be able to mount a serious challenge perhaps, and as Scaff mentions the CSL should be up for the job too. Might have a go when I get home if it hasn't been settled by then...

I havent said anything but that was one of my leading competitors, however it doesnt hook up like the STi. meaning I'd have to drop the weight reduct which isnt a prob. or add a ballast.

Is this considered a PRODUCTION car?? if so then it might do well, but still the AWD terror eats up those FR's

I agree. I'll have to try it out, I almost feel like that is a step lower then the STi though. I mean their very similar cars, why not use an STi Instead?? please expand on this...

Why not use an STI? I thought the idea was to find a different car that was as quick....? The Evo is most certainly not a step lower by the way!

I'll have to try the ZZ-II tomorrow, I can categorically state that that is one of the fastest car's in the game. I'll try a 500bhp semi-racing tuned Spec C as well.
 
in my eperience the 4wd cars in gt4 can't corner quite as fast as rwd cars so i'm sure there are many rwd cars that are faster than the sti.
 
Just did a few laps in the CSL tuned to about 450bhp, cant remember the exact number and i managed to pull off a 1.25.149. Im sure with a little more power and somebody good behind the wheel a 1.21 would be possible. I could better my time but i kept overshooting braking points and it started to annoy me.

Has anyone else actually tried to pull of a 1'21 in a 500bhp semi-racing tuned C Spec with no new wing yet? I seriously can't see that car being faster than a ZZ-II. I'm sure a great driver might be able to do it but if they're good enough to do that time in that car, they should be good enough to beat it in other car's, just like someone who can get a 1'25 in the C Spec will get a 1'23 in something else.

still a 1'25 is what i average in a few of the multiple cars i've tried. Thats a good starting point, but beyond that is something only the STi can tell u about, lol ... proably not but so far i'm not proven wrong, WHICH I WANT TO BE!

im telling u It IS!!! i've ran both and for some reason in these paticular circumstances nothing can touch the STi, thats why i started this thread!!

I'd love to see these settings for the STI so I can give it a shot as well. That way I can pick another car to challenge the time with as my driving talent may not be up to scratch with your skills.

Also torque is good for pulling boats :lol: … on a flat circuit it doesn’t count for a hell of a lot…

I think there are plenty of cars that will beat The STI. It (especially tuned) will suffer greatly in corner speeds. I think I'll tune an R32 N1 tonight to 500 horses and see how your time holds up...

I believe this car could easily run laps around 1'22 if it could be tuned twofold 👍

Umm... good luck with that.. But I tried a plethra of cars including an R32 and came up empty handed. Their were only a select few that stood a chance.

I was just pointing out that torque isn't so useless if I'm able to run times "almost" around 1'25 with just half the power (and about 370 foot pounds of torque) :lol:
I'll try tomorrow what can I do with 500 horses :)

sorry no way to get it from ps2 to the pc.. :(, unless theirs a way to take a picture with the time and stuff acutally i think their is
