Ok...I guess my driving isn't as bad as I thought...although I only did one 1:10. Most of my laps were mid 1:11s to low 1:12s. I was beginning to think I would end up bringing up the rear on every race even though I am very competitive at 450-500pp.

Practice room open if any one is interested?

Edit: just did a 1min10.214 seconds in a Arta NSX

Greets open a room I'll join everyone else is welcome to come.

Toyotsupra,

Is your handle the same on PSN? If not, I'm greest_lightnin on there.

And I'm praying that 1:10:214 was on Deep Forest...:scared:

Edit: Friend request sent

2nd Edit: Room open...

This isn't really indicative of my performance in the NSX. I've been practicing for an hour or so in my 600pp GTR Vspec 09, cleaning up my line and whatnot. I managed to do 1:18.476 on Laguna Seca. No aids, abs set to 1. Yes in online room. I'm hoping to be an alternate if someone drops out. I'm pretty pumped about that lap time though.

Sweet...17's are possible...

Thank for joining the practice session yesterday guys. I'm having a another session in my lobby right now for anyone interested.

I was having network issues so i ran some practice-mode laps tonight. Messed with toe and LSD settings and got my NSX from 1:23 to mid 1:21. This was on RM tires. Of course online grip will probably slow me a few seconds. 1:17s are a pipe dream with my skills unless there is a secret to tuning i dont know about.

i don't think you have to worry about anybody running 17's

Great! I hope my tuning changes translate well to online grip. Thanks for the tip on messing with rear toe. I had it at 0.10 to start and the car was breaking free in 2nd and 3rd gear. Upped it to 0.50 and I could put the throttle to the floor exiting every turn except the final turn...only problem was a bit of understeer. I dropped to 0.25 and like goldie lox, it was just right. Increased the rear rollbar by a click, and added a little more front camber and the car handles pretty good now. A couple places I could improve my times...

Corkscrew: I can't open the throttle until after the suspension is done compressing. Otherwise, I go ass over teakettle. I might try softening things up, but that could make it worse. I tried stiffer springs/dampers last night and it made the car twitchie on other parts of the track.

Rainey Curve: I'm carrying decent speed, but I feel like there's room for improvement

Final turn: If I'm aggressive I end up with one wheel on the outside edge and I spin the tire. Not sure tuning is going to help me there, I just gotta adjust my line to stay on the track.

I'm glad i was able to improve your GT5 experience if you need anymore help feel free to send a PM i can help you with the corkscrew but only through PM too many eyes and ears here

Thanks again. I'll let you know if I need more help. I want to do some testing on my own first.

I'll be on later tonight if anyone wants to get a practice room going....maybe around 11 est

I may try to join you tonight, I'll send a FR in a little while. If I'm in my lounge when you get on, feel free to just come in there. :)

i think i'm going to do some testing tonight aswell. In an hour or so. I'll be in my lobby, but if you guys are grouped together in another lobby just let me know.

Sweet...17's are possible...

17's sounds really fast i don't think i can get my GT-R in the 17's but i'm are gunna try as hard as possible

I'm not sure if there is some confusion here... the lap time I said i got was in a street GTR tuned to 600pp, not one of the race cars used in this series... I don't know why I even posted it, I spent a good deal of time doing laps and I was trying for 18's but I was consistently doing 1:19.0xx-1:19.1xx and I was super pumped to smash into the 18's lol. I haven't had a chance to run any NSX on Laguna yet.

With my ARTA NSX, i'm pushing hard for 1:22.5 on RM (private lobby physics). I left about 5/10ths on the track though. If i could string together some perfect sectors i'd be around 1:22 flat, maybe 1:21.5. I keep thinking i need more power...but when i lower the downforce to try it, the car stops sticking. I tried a little ballast and that helped a little.

I guess I'll see tonight whether its good enough to keep up with you guys. Oh, I've got to send a friend req. Please check for it when you open the lobby.

I got too lazy to setup the wheel and practice last night, so I'll be on a few hours before the race tonight. If I'm online and playing GT5, then join my lobby. I usually don't have my mic on for practice, but if you need help or think I need help, lol, let me know and I'll turn it on.

Can we disable mics for the race please...since nobody uses them while racing, i'd rather listen to my music :)
