x1 or no x1?

So this Debate has been going on since the beginning of GT5.
One side being, the x1 should be allowed since it gives you a feel of what the best racecar in the world would feel like.. and experience extreme downforce, which would literally hurt most people at turns with 8 g's

The other side being, that the x1 is too fast, and since it isn't even a real car, it shouldn't be allowed into a sim like gt5. Also, people use it as a tool to win races online and ram into people

X1 b spec for money etc is ok

but online and ram is just lame
 
I watched Bob drive it round Laguna Seca, it looked like the tape was on fast forward. It's just looks stupid. By all means have it in the game, but I have no interest in it.

I have to say that's pretty ridiculous. Keeping a car out of a sim because it doesn't exist in real life.

And what of the legions of fake cars in GT before it? Like all the LM cars. (I'm not aiming this directly at you, as I don't know if that's your opinion, or a representation of others' opinions)

Only an issue in badly managed rooms, and something that the FGT or some other car would be used for if the X1 weren't here.
 
IDK, I like it, and it's very cool when you find people online to do a X2010 race.
 
Yeah, Personally I like it.. but with the teasing of not seeing one in rl, plus, what you guys said about badly managed roomss

I wouldn't worry about that, I was in a LMP room and someone brought one of those, he flew off every turn and I'm not exagerating
 
Remove it. You can't use it in any A-spec or B-spec events fairly, and too many people use it online to win races, ram people, push people, and just annoy people. So many noobs use it in drag lobbies as well. And in LMP lobbies or Supercar lobbies, they bring an X1 and beat everyone or crash into everyone and I just HATE it.

It's something that could be better and have less hate IF it was filtered better online. Make it just like the Ferrari F1 for online. I don't care if people use it in A-Spec or B-Spec, that's their choices. But online shouldn't.
 
It's cartoonishly fast. I must confess that I'm one of the guys that CHEATED at Suzuka to gold it.

I mean, maybe if the guys at PD were willing to make some sort of X2010-only Seasonal Event (and I mean race, not time trial), then maybe it would be worth having. Otherwise, making endurance races a cakewalk is all it does.

but it still has no use in the timed endos... so that's another downside
 
If there was an X1 seasonal. I could only think of the FGT Championship, only worse.
 
people are going to act like idiots regardless of the car. Far as Im concerned anyone who has reached the level to get an X1 has played enough to earn the right to play the game anyway they want, with any car they want. it is a game.
 
No problems with it being in but they should have made it like the F1 car, only available on practice mode or set up online rooms. It's not bad for BOB, keeps him in front.

X1 is the best car in the game in my opinion and I race it almost every night in a x1 only room. In fact, we can't stand it when someone tries to bring out anything other than an X1...nothing worse than someone around the bend doing 130 when you are coming up at 267.

So, big yes, X1 stays.

Oh, and I don't use the X1 for glitch, grind, driving the wrong way or ramming...unless you are the guy doing 130. And Bob will never get the keys!

Sorry I just had too. But on a serious note the X1 is going to stay in the game, so it's sorta of pointless to have this poll. I prefer the X1 staying in the game because PD already invested time into it and also it took over 200+ hours to make a real life copy of it.(Which is nonfunctional and is at Redbull's Hanger 7) To be honest people complain to much about it, if you go to the right lobbies(which I do often) the host makes sure nobody has it or puts lots of restrictions so it's impossible for it to get on the track.
 
I say keep it. No reason to remove a perfectly fine (money making :D) car. If some kid wants to drive it like a license-less hobo, they get a nice vacation from my lobby. If a kid wants to drive it and can drive like a pro-F1 driver, fine. I have no hate against it and it's quite fun to drive with the power limiter set to 50%.
 
It wouldn't make sense to take it out.. I'm sure PD invested a fair amount of money having Adrian Newey design it, and probably even more for the Red Bull Livery. I don't use it that much, except for endurance races in B spec, and I'm not really a fan of it, but removing it from the game would be a disappointment and it would make no sense on PD's part.
 
The X1 should be removed without a doubt IMO. Way to many people abuse it online, ruins the sense of speed, highly unrealistic, no competitive A.I. against it, etc... 👎
 
I think this is a opinion topic to see where players stand rather then a petition to get rid of it.
 
Keep it. It's one of the most adrenaline-infested cars that takes real skill to master!

:lol::lol::lol: Does this include the legions of muppets who are Level 5 on both A-spec & B-spec that already own the X1 thanks to the legions of dupers who just give them away?? Seriously, that logic is so flawed it's foolish.

Keep the X1, ban the muppets from online lobbies. I and the drag racing freaks have that rule, we see an X1 and it's no questions asked, you're kicked instantly.

There is no competition from the AI ever. Competition is online, X1 included.

It's a car, and it does neither you nor the game any harm, does it? If you don't like it, simple solution, don't use it.
