Says the one who, from most of your previous posts that I've read, does nothing other than whinge and whine about things that, frankly, no one gives a 🤬 about. This is the person who complained the TGTT was too boring when that that was what the track is like in real life. This is also the person who decided a magazine wasn't worth reading because one of the segments wasn't to his liking. From my point of view, you're the troll here. Hating on things that most people can't care less about.

These are all valid statements in which sparked interesting converstation. Comparing the Bugatti Veyron to the McLaren F1 is a fruitless, needless, and just dumb comparison which set the tone of the magazine for me. Me being a huge Veyron fan and immediately drawn to this article, I defintely am also a beliver in first impressions last forever. But then I also offered helpful critiquing and tips in my post. Better comparisons and grammar. And TGTT is boring. It's a track out in the middle of a runway. I guess if you're a big Top Gear fan, which I am not, you probably got heated over it. But it is an intersting topic which garned a few pages worth of posts of different perspectives on the matter. Some saw it for what it is, some where fine with it others weren't. Overall mixed reaction in the posts.

Anyway. With today's technology, we're already flying under the radar. If money was no object we could in fact have... an invisible jet. Just saying...

We're not even close. Any stealth aircraft today is not invisible. It's called VLO (Very Low Observable) for a reason.

Get close enough to a B-2, F-22, etc, all of them show up on radar clear as the sun on a cloudless day. And you're never going to see directly through one of them. That's way in the future.

There are things like this

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloak_of_invisibility#Cloaks_of_invisibility_in_science

But they don't work on jets.

And on top of all that, Wonder Woman's jet isn't based on anything but imagination, which is why it's nothing like the X1, which is grounded in known technology.

Has anyone seen the Caparo Ti? it looks alot like the redbull x1

Yes, I remember seeing that episode of Top Gear where it was on it. The bodies are similar, but the drivetrain is no where close to the X1 spec. It's a step in the direction though, ground effects included.

+1

Personally I'm pretty sure where there with the technology, most of it has been sitting around for years waiting for it's day to be utilized. I think the main problem is who would want to build it? and what's in it for them? Other than bragging rights which wouldn't pay for this project

Weather the X2010 is realistic or not is irrelevant to me. I used it only for the vettle challenges where i developed an unhealthy hatred towards the thing on the suzuka challenge (eventually bronzed them all with a ds3) that coupled with some of the idiotic ways its used online ensures my dislike for it keeps growing. It has only one use in my garage, bspec grinding hence the 36000+ miles on the clock. To my mind its a fantasy car in a sim game, personally I'd of been happier if it hadn't been included but seeing as it has i do believe maybe PD should of put in something else in there of a similar ilk for those who do like it to race against.

I personally wish the fantasy in a simulation part of the argument would cease. That point makes no sense, as we'd have to be talking about a few more cars and some tuning options.

Its been designed and painstakingly put through process of development for GT5. Plus, when the internet disconnects or seasonals get boring, it makes a good grind car. Though for the purpose of grinding, I wish there was a simple race with high payout that would allow this thing in. I do believe there should be options to disallow specific cars from certain events, priamrily online.

Remove it...I can think of dozens of REAL cars I'd rather have...

And I realize it's just an academic/advertising exercise, but the concepts behind it are completely wrong, IMO -- To say nothing of the fallacy of driving a 'future' racecar on present-day GT5 tracks, which only 2-3 are suitable...

I'd love to see a Red Bull F1 engineer explain the thought processes behind it...

No X1.

If this is the real driving simulator, why is a fake car in the game???

If this is the real driving simulator, why is a fake car in the game???

Because there is no contradition what so ever in having a car that does not exist in real life in a simulator.

Really, what does simulator mean to some people?

First of all the only people who complain about the x1 are the one's who cant drive it. Number two this game is far from simulation. The physics in this game is bs. Formula 1 cars dont use 900 degrees of rotation but seems like every car is this game turns at 900 degrees. When have you ever seen a formula 1 driver turn thier wheel 2 and a half turn each directon its BS. For all you people out their crying about the x1 we dont play racing games to drive 400pp performance point. Its so stupid to see people set rooms with ppl set at a certain number. This is a racing game the hell with that if im gonna detune my car to match a certain pp. Its rediculousy.

Why take it out if so much work was put into it?
I personally could care less about it, anybody who uses it online against normal cars is already more of a loser than those with F1 cars. It's a ridiculous car, and seeing that this is possible in real life is even more extraordinary (if PD wasn't bulls:censored:ing us).
It's like that black car from the first NFS, keep it.
