Xbox dummy trying to connect to live from a router no luck..

Am I doing something wrong? I ran the appropriate wire from my hub to my xbox and no luck...:(

Assuming you have paid, as CDailey asks, the best plan is to go into your router settings and place your XBox's IP into the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ). This means it's directly connecting to the internet, without first going through the firewall - which would put a PC at risk of nasty stuff, but not an XBox.

The DMZ is still firewalled - DMZs are there to eg. isolate your public webserver from your internal servers. Unless you have another public IP address and do one to one natting on the item(s) in the DMZ, they'll still be natted as items on your lan are..
