I rented it last night and I must say it's pretty cool, hard as hell but still cool.

What level are you currenly on? Once you get the graviton gun the game becomes a lot better. It usually takes between 20-30 hours to complete this game. 👍

I am currenly on one of my favorite parts of the game. The introduction to the graviton gun and I got to meet the robot called "Dog" and played catch with him.

If you have a decent pc, no. It's not worth the money. If your pc sucks, and you want to play the best FPS game, then yes, it is worth it.

i rented it so i will post up my opinion later today, as far as my pc goes i would say its plenty fast enough, 160 gb hard drive, 2.80GHz processor, 512 mb ram 👍

doesnt matter how fast your processor is (to a point).. vid card is more important.. 512 ram isn't "enough" but it will run it.

depends on what make/model it is

i have 768 ram and it's not really enough. it runs smoothly but it would run a little smoother with 1gb+

Even if you dont have the PC version this is one of the best FPS games ever made by almost anyones review. As I have stated before, I have this for the PC and beat it for the PC. I still find myself completely enjoying it all over again on the xbox. (and that is very rare for me to play a FPS game twice) There is almost no way to beat this game in the time of renting it. I believe its easily 20-30 hours of play. Thats if you solve every puzzle instantly. Just playing thru this game one time is like playing multiple games. You get to drive several vehicles and the physics alone keep you busy forever. Even if you bought it and only played once in a while until you beat it, it would be well worth it. The puzzles are the best part of the game because they all require the use of physics and are very rewarding once you solve them.

i didnt say i didnt like it, in fact its one of the best games ive played. the graphix are amazing and the levels are very detailed. i realized how realistic this game is when i saw some birds flying above me and i decided to try to shoot them, i was very excited to see blood then a bird drop to the ground 👍

as far as the "puzzles" go they have been pretty simple unless there is something i missed, but sofar they are nowhere as complex as the ones in the MYST games.

im not that far into the game yet because i also rented BULLETPROOF and i have been playing that and im still playing NFS: MOST WANTED, but i plan on getting into HL2 more today.

What level are you on? Yeah the puzzles start out quiet simple. The game just gets better and better as you progress. Once you get the graviton gun and start sending saw blades thru people thats when it gets really fun. Cuts them right in half. You can even stick people to the wall with various objects.
I am currently on the sand lion level (Highway 17) and once you finish that level it gets even better. But I wont spoil it.
I know what you mean about playing multiple games. Heck I think I rented 10 games over teh weekend but kept going back to Battlefield 2 modern combat. You would love that game since you liked ghost recon 2 and Socom 2.

I dont know about starting your own room but in BF2 you can invite friends. Well so far I have been inviting friends. I also join friends rooms. I never tried to start my own room yet so I dont know if you can or not. I will check that out tonight.

Lol thats nothing. Just wait until you see the bridge that you have to climb onto. My god that level can be a nightmare but looks sick as hell. Its probably 5 times higher than that pic you just posted.

Oh man depending on where you are at you might want to load an old save or it could be a long painful walk.

i had to go back to the mines, i got to a point where i needed to "get my car" and they will open the gate, but wouldnt open it because i had no car lol.

oh well, it doesnt take long to get back to where i was

The only hint I recommend is that you dont override your saves all the time. Keep several on back up.
1. So you can go back later and play your favorite parts
2. So you can save your butt if you screw up and say umm... drive your buggy into the ocean.
Oh and video anything that you think is cool like the other 4 or 5 videos I posted in here.
I will try to get as much video as possible too.

If I remember correctly there are 12 or 13 levels. As I mentioned before it takes on average 20-30 hours to beat this game depending on how much you mess around in the game and how long it takes to solve the puzzles.

if you start a new game you can start from levels you have played, im on chapter 8 and it shows 14 chapters.
