I finally got my update today. Very simple and works well. Is it better than PS3's? IMO, NO WAY. Xbox is simple and dumbed down with much less options. It just feels so restricted. No downloading anything, no Youtube, can't open extra windows, and no streaming adult videos. But it does work smooth (so far). You can only have one window open, recent visits, and favorites. I like and I will use it if I had to. This is only playing it for about an hour. So I don't know what else it can or cannot do.

Of course I have to mention about PS3's browser. While the PS3 has some hiccups here and there it is still much closer to a normal internet. I can watch adult videos and youtube all day. I also understand that you can also use a mouse/keyboard? I will assume that Xbox IE you can't use a mouse. There was never a mouse support on the Xbox as I recall.

There is already a youtube app for the 360. Just go to apps. Its actually been there for a long time. Your post about the adult videos make me laugh.

The IE isnt a feature I will use much, but I guess its nice to have if people need to use it.

I what I really meant was that YouTube does not work under the IE app. We all know that the regular Youtube is worlds better than any Youtube app. That is what I like about the PS3 because you can still use it, but too bad with only 240p. Also browsing other forums that show YT videos will play them with no problems. Actually 360's YT app works fine while PS3's app is absolute garbage.

I also think that I will not use IE much or even at all either, but it is nice to know it is there. It should have been there from the get go if you ask me.

»So I have been using it more and I like it. Typing this right now with the chat pad. The ergonomics of the pad works great and lights up. So there is no copy/paste/highlight and no options to pick words that was previously typed like on the ps3. I can turn off the 360 while still browsing, unlike the ps3 sometimes has problems when turned off right away. Cool that you can also play your own music while browsing. My brain measurement finds that speed is only slightly quicker. My ps3 is actually wireless and the 360 is wired. So that is it for now.

*Great news! So far all things on Youtube and adult sites I visit now works! I have no idea what happened or what they did because I did not receive any further updates. You can stream whatever resolution you can on YouTube with no problems compared to the PS3 that only is in 240p. Been playing 720p stuff and it looks crisp. I have tried to do 1080p but was too impatient for it to load or if it would ever load? I will try it again some time. Anyways, it is a mega huge difference LOL. No need to use the stupid YT app!

My updates: The XBox IE is now kind of sluggish. I cleared my caches thinking it may improve. But no it didn't. Now that I have been thinking about it, this has actually been going on maybe for almost a week now. Maybe it was the same time Youtube and other xxx sites started working? Although when YT and adult stuff plays, it plays well. Before, loading websites was almost instantaneous. Now when using it back to back with PS3's browser there is no comparison. The PS3 is much quicker and also wireless and the 360IE is just sluggish but still useable. I have a tv and a monitor and clicking on the websites at the same time. The 360 is wired. That is my experience so far if anyone cared. Heh.

*Another update* Videos on other sites I visit are working! Sites like Yahoo! that I frequently visit. Horrible news though, adult sites are no longer working. This pisses me off. Parents should be controlling what their kids are watching or playing. IE should have some kind of block. Now others have to suffer for it. It is ridiculous. I no longer use it unless I really have to. Don't get me wrong, I am no perv or addict. Just letting you guys know what's up since people rarely discuss about this.

*Another hidden update* Now some of these "sites" are working again. I have been using it more and more (not because of that though) and it sure is smoother than the PS3. Checking emails and playing videos works most of the time. Emails from major sites does not work on the PS3 and of course playing Youtube vids still runs at 240p. Sometimes when it crashes you have to go through that system start up! Press and hold the power button, 3 beeps, turn back on, then wait for the boot up process. The 360 can be booted back to the dashboard most of the time. If not then just press power then turn on like nothing ever happened. Too bad Sony never bothered to keep it up to date nor improved it. It seems like they just don't care.
