It's this, right?

Hold it right there, all those GT4 menu photos are hidden on the disc in PNG format?

Not quite. While the data is a PNG image, it's not a PNG that's usable on PC's. So I had to make it a readable PNG file.

If you have some spare time, could you extract all the menu photos and post it in rar format? Would be greatly appreciated.

Those last two pictures remind me of the entire Cathedral Rocks (inside El Capitan) complex.

Maybe an early version/concept of the track?

And what are those pictures anyway? I understand they are tracks obviously, but they are more than just maps They seam to bee actual 3D models before the game renders any textures.

Where would Cathedral Rocks Trail III fit into this?

CLASSIC ESCORT!?!? That must be in the code somewhere, maybe hidden in an old demo.

The unknown tracks on the GT6 image were Nurburgring 24h and Tokyo, although there was another smaller Tokyo as well, and this looked odd.

The Escort looks like a photoshop job. The font at the top of the screen doesn't match for the credits and the selected car and the car itself just doesn't look like a GT4 car. The camera angle is wrong, it is too zoomed in and the car itself is too shiny and has a textured interior.

Yeah, it's using the generic pictures as there doesn't appear to be any pictures for Vemac as far as I know.

Also, there's various manufacturers that seemed to be able to be selected in their respective countries at one point.

For example, Scion appears in the data for the American cars section, yet there's no showroom completed for it. Unless this was for other regions and is taken out of PAL regions.

I was surprized by one fact, here's the story:)

I was ripping cars from Gran Turismo PSP and what I found out:
Cars,ported from GT4 era have A LOT of textures for car,from 10 to 40 for 1 car,even non-racing one.

All the new cars, added to the game(unseen in GT series before) Such as GT by Citroen,Ferrari f2007 and Nissan GT-R R35 have 2-3 textures for the full car.(Because now they have more experience making cars)

But the interesting fact is about other new cars:Lamborghini countach,Lamborghini countach 25 TH anniversuary edition and Ferrari Enzo have A LOT of textures, just like models from GT4 era,and at the same time, theese cars are old enough to be part of GT4.

What i think,is that Lamborghini countach,Lamborghini countach 25 Th anniversuary edition and Ferrari Enzo were actually supposed to be part of Gran Turismo 4,but they didn't made it into the game because of licence issues(mabye?!)

Images(click to make them bigger ;) )

Typical cars, ported from GT3\GT4 to GTPSP

Cars, apeared in Gran Turismo series for thhe first time
(examples are Gt by Citroen and Ferrari F2007)

And cars, which I think, were made for GT4 but didn't made it into the game, and then apeared in GTPSP
(Ferrari enzo and Lamborghini as examples)

See the difference?)
And also,I want to remind you about GT3's hidden Lamborghini Diablo and messages about Ferrari's and Lambo's found in GT2 data:)👍

So,that's my little research :D

Great work! I believe the cars such as the Enzo and Countatchs must be parts of GT PSP only, as other cars such as the GTR R35, Furai, R8 Race Car amd more were in the game at the same time.
