But but, it’s eXtreeeeeeeme.

Sooo… will the drs button sub as the bunny hop button?

Im gonna knight rider/dukes of hazzard the 💩 outta this thing
It doesn't seem like the jumping thing can be activated manually, I bet even with a driver onboard it is going to be AI controlled, because human just wouldn't be able to time it just right for the obstacle. But on the other hand, there could be some show mode for parking lots..

I admire these people

Smells just like another purely for marketing purposes car addition that will get absolutely no use in game other than hotlapping and maybe a special event with the upcoming Xiaomi.

Please don't be one of the Spec III remaining cars...

I dont think the BYD will be an Spec 3 car. Assuming the collab was recent (1-0 months) theres very little chances they get the car ready by december, or better said by november when the trailer probably drops and the car is in action

I sorta remember the sound they tied to that cartoon car activating its hop pistons.
It was the first thing that popped in my head when I saw the pictures
CHAA CHA CHA CHA CHA cha cha cha...

which constantly adjusts the body position and can actually jump the car up off the road for… reasons
Is it as dramatic as this?

I hope this does definitely come to the game, it's a quirky car

Plus the fact it can tank steer too

If they wanted the car to behave like that, just fit it with a suspension from a '74 Buick. I know a guy. Would have saved heaps Yuan.

So...this will be part of the Spec III? 🤔

There are some parts of the video that.looks suspiciously like CGI or like GT7 engine 😅🤔

Imagine a spec 3.5 update around march with the chinese cars and Shangai 👀

Or probably I need to go to sleep 🤣🤣

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

The World’s Most Powerful Production Car is Coming to Gran Turismo 7

Yesterday, we reported on rumors that the record-breaking Yangwang U9 Xtreme supercar was heading to Gran Turismo 7, and the timing felt right. There’s been a flurry of PlayStation activity in China this week for the official launch of the PS5 Pro, and series creator Kazunori Yamauchi himself was spotted at a launch event at Porsche Shanghai. Today, those rumors have been officially confirmed...

I dont really care about cars like this.
If it would be partership with something like koenigsegg i would be over the moon.

But i suspect pd dosent pay much to put a car like this into the game, Koenigsegg is a different story

Interesting translation of “Gran Turismo”
Some context: Gran Turismo's official Chinese name is 跑车浪漫旅 which can be literally translated to Sports Car Romantic Journey. I think this is actually a good Chinese name since it captures the essence of the game. But in real world we rarely use this name because it's just too...ROMANTIC. We simply call it GT7.

You can translate the interview?

Thanks for share the video, anyway!
Of course. :)

A brief translation:

Q1: What do you think of BYD as a car maker?
Kaz: What strikes me most is that BYD is not only a car maker, it considers many social issues, such as how to improve societal efficiency and how to reduce carbon emissions, which I deeply admire.

Q2: What do you think of BYD U9?
Kaz: Unfortunately, it rained during today's test drive, and the road was very slippery. However, after getting used to the driving area, I immediately accelerated at full throttle. The car's driving state was very stable, allowing me to easily control the immense power without any deviation. This level of stability surprised me.

Q3: Why has GT included multiple Chinese car brands since this year?
Kaz: I'm aware that China is undergoing an industrial transformation and social redesign centered around new energy vehicles. As for when they will be incorporated into the game, it's only a matter of time.
