I don't know what you mean by "pop up registration", but I do know the following:-

• Things were much better before the electric starter, when a man could crank his own engine by hand.
• If you forgot to retard the spark, there was a fair chance you could dislocate a thumb, which was a great lesson.
• Synchromesh is for sissies who can't rev match.
• Vacuum-operated wipers which slowed down the faster you drove sorted out the men from the boys on rainy nights.
• Braking systems with no redundancy were a great test of skills when they failed.
• Today's disk brakes are way too over-cooled compared to the good old drum brake.
• Coming down a mountain pass was a great way to discover the fun of total brake fade.
• Knowing how to start a poorly carbureted engine under all conditions of temperature was a skill to be admired.
• A fuel tank placed above the driver's knees meant there was no need for a fuel pump. Gravity did it.
• In a crash, you learned to get out fast before the fuel spilled and exploded.
• Getting out fast was easy, since there were no pesky seatbelts or airbags.
• In some cases, exiting the vehicle fast was an automatic process, especially in rollover accidents.

Ah, the nostalgia for those lost skills!

I really don't understand what you mean. I don't know if this is even a feature in a racing game!!

Ok! well... aside from having a very good response to a vague statement; thank you Lads. Here's the rub. Main Menu/Seasonal Events/Any Seasonal which has had "Registration has Ended" but the event is still open for us to gather up our cups with out the braging rights of renoun.
(sorry, I'd give the accurate window dialogs, but for some reason - today - now - I can't log into PSN... )

Anyway, you decide I'm going to go and run the event (like the Lexus / 'ring) and it bumps up and says pph 'you aint gonna geet no braggin rights for this' and you click the enter button thinking "I know that stupid, but it really is my choice; isn't it?" And after you get to the race parameters menu and say Go/Start/Run it! the self same dialog window returns and says pph 'Seriously mate? are you really that stupid? I tol'you whatever you do, it don't matter one wit: Do you REALLY want to do this dumb thing?'

And of course by this point I'm thinking, "maybe the machine is right? I mean, who's going to know? who cares? It's not like moving from 29,xxx to 28,xyz is going to be anything anyone else is ever gonna see.."

But, then, I thinks to myself "I'd LIKE TO HAVE THE SATISFACTION, Even if it's the last day the Seasonal is still up to do - just for MY record, earn that gold cup and feel like I'm the master of my destiny.

Now, I know I'm but a nub here; only been driving since November... however, I've gone through this criticizing self rightous load of bull phuuyhy many many times, have to think others have too... (Or, do you all really never go back after Registration is over? )

Anyways, just my two coppers from under the Troll's bridge here...

Another message should come up constantly:
"Did you wear your seat belt? Its dangerous ro drive without seatbelts!"

No kidding! Really

I am dumb enough to play this game everyday without any course creator for two years.... But am i really that dumb as for this game to repeat these messages?
