... When you see a real life version of a standard car and you think that person has installed Spec 2.02.

When you see car adverts in magazines and think that with just a bit more contrast here...add a new layer, gradient-fill-opacity to 50% there....despeckle and selective gaussian blur.....doh!:banghead:

Also:
When people make the threads "What have you bought today?" and "what's your favourite colour?":banghead:

When you contribute to said threads in earnest!!!!:dunce:

True story [Happen today]... You know you play GT5 too much when you're looking for a D-Pad on your steering wheel to look out the side window...

when you check you profile stats and realize you've driven further in the past year in GT5 than you have in real life (and yes, I actually have)

True story: When you get a forwarded email from someone and look at the subject, "FWD: blah blah blah" and think O Front wheel drive, wait, that's not right.

I just did this.....

When you go on google maps and learn that D338, D140, and D139 are the roads that make up Circuit de la Sarthe... And then consider driving as fast as you can in a real car on those roads+D323 (the road that runs parallel to the north technical section of the track) to get lap times...

When you read "AAH PROST" from space (on the Nurburgring just around a tight corner just after the GP section)

Edit:

When you translate graffiti on the Nurburgring that you read from space... Prost means cheers!

When you find out that Eau Rouge has it's own spot on Google Maps (the track section has a town name)

If you spend your time using google trying to find real places that are in GT5!

I did this too, I googled Ahrweiler and tried to find the photo locations that are in GT5.

250th Post here on GTP by the way. I guess that's another sign I played too much Gran Turismo...

When you take your car to a mechanic and ask him why is he changing the oil from under the bonnet, and not under the car.

When I see any type of sports car on the motor way and try to catch it but then remember I'm in my work van and not a sports car myself.

This post is excellent. I've been naming every single car, and identifying every silhouette since I was like 11, because of GT1. Nowadays I'm hitting every apex I see and drafting on the freeway. Good times.

...When you see a Prius on the street and say "Why in the world is this even in the game?!" Thinking about it, that's probably already been said.... ~Turtle

When I saw a Porsche Boxster 986 this morning I thought hmm that's the RUF 3400S but nooo, my RUF 3400S is faster
