You know you ALREADY played to much GT5 when you think about a Good idea for a Post in "You know you ALREADY played to much GT5 when...."

Somewhat agree, but doesn't that mean that everyone who has posted in this thread are GT5 addicts?

You check the driving line of bus you are on as it enters and exits corners on your way to work

They are, heh heh heh. :sly:
I love GT5, but I don't play that much to consider myself being addicted.

When you play GT5 with a DFGT for a couple of hours before a driving lesson, an when it comes to taking a roundabout you only turn your wheel a quarter turn and nearly plough into incoming traffic, at 25 mph,and the instructor grabs the wheel to get round the turn. Scary
That is CRAZY! lol Automatic failure, I'm thinking?

As much as I love driving drifting on GT5, I don't consider myself being addicted to it either.

Incorrect steering proportions caused this fail. You turn the wheel much more in real life. In Gran Turismo 5, you could do most corners without turning the wheel not even 1/2 of a turn.

If you're on a correct racing line there are many many corners IRL that could be taken that way ;-)

True, for high speed corners then I think the steering proportions are correct, but remember that this guy was travelling at 25 mph when he made the mistake. A couple of corners in the game are taken at 25 mph or so, and my point is that the steering for wheels are exaggerated and you don't turn the wheel enough compared to real life.

Yea your right, I found this out the hard way

When you dream that you´re getting in your car, and there is no steering wheel, pedals or shift stick... only a dual shock 3. (true story)

Or whistling GT Auto´s music all day. (Get it out of my head!!!!!) Damn!! I´m doing it right now while typing!!!!!

haha i even learned to play it on the piano haha! just by hearing the tune so much i learned it by ear! haha

Actually I tried a cpl of 90° turns (on country roads) on the way home tonight and had about an 120° wheel turn with a good apex.

I think some of it may also have to do with the wheel being used. I have to turn farther with my G27 than the DFP...

Back on topic....

You know you've already played TOO MUCH GT5 when you start testing theories IRL ;-)

Then again, the G27 is a higher end wheel than the DFP. I have a DFGT, and I find myself not needing to turn the wheel as much as a G27 user.

True enough. Switching to this wheel has DESTROYED my times so far :-(

When you start building models of your favorite cars in GT5, you even go as far as making GT5 plates to put on them

...when you reduce gear in real life and the car jumps because it did not did heel and toe automatically for you...

or

...when you see a BMW M3 on street and think: "nah, can't race him, my car only got 320pp"...

true story...

No. For example If you train to much and your muscle hurts you are Not Sports addicted. ;)
And what shall we call a person (like some in this thread, myself included), who enters a forum directed for a specific racing game, and then stops to read a 1,378 times replied thread about that said game addiction? hehehe

Today, just before I got to my work, I was traveling with the tram, when I went past a car dealer. And just in front there was this
vw_beetle-7379.jpg

A VW Beetle - all shiny, just polished, looked like brand new! And with that (almost exact) white color.
And I was thinking:"Should I really bother buying the latest DLC, because soon we won't get any ... If PD make a new DLC at all."💡
Next thought was ... "I'm such an idiot". :odd::irked::dopey::lol::lol:

I'm guessing you used the DFP here, right? Can I have your DFP since you don't want it  ? Would be useful to start a FFB wheel collection :D .

Good point, but they would still be addicts in my opinion  .

When I think every Porsche I see is an RUF. I think "Oh, we can't have Porsches here".

This happens to loads of RUF fans :indiff: ...

Now this is something that I would like to see! I demand pictures of this as soon as possible!
