When you walk sideways thinking that you're drifting

Excellent!👍

I do this all the time and I don't even pay it attention to it. Because sideways walking get you around corners quicker. True story.

Shaves 1.5-3 seconds with a good entry speed into a apex. ;)

When you're asked to put some music on to make the house more festive, so you start GT and let the menu run 👍

Merry Christmas all :)

... When you go to the Nurburgring on a trackday and you wonder why you can't control the weather.

... When you drive in the rain in real life and you wonder how the Grip Reduction setting automatically set itself to the Real setting.

... When you look for the RA dial when you're driving in real life (some cars might have this but a lot don't).

... When you already have GT5 and you write a letter to Santa that you want GT5 this Christmas, and the Christmas after that, and the Christmas after that, and the Christmas after that, and the Christmas after that, and the Christmas after that.

When you go to the tire dealer and ask for racing soft tires... :/

Why do I have a feeling that this has actually happened to someone :odd: ?

When you try and look for the R2 and L2 shifter buttons on the steering wheel of a real car and then find out it's not a Lambo and doesn't have a paddle shifter:ouch:

This also happens to loads of GT5 players in real life  . Anyways:

You know you have ALREADY played GT5 too much when...

- ... you go bankrupt and you tell yourself "Well at least I got the Penniless Trophy".

- ... a friend turns up in a car with tinted windows and you shout out "Should've got the premium version from the NCD".

- ... you buy a race suit, gloves, boots and helmet purely for the purpose of making GT5 seem more 'realistic'.

...when you become so bored with GT5, you throw it out of the window like a Frisbee.

... when you stay up for 24 hours straight playing GT5 (possibly doing the 24hrs of Le Mans/Nurburgring race).

When you start drifting the shopping cart in Wal-Mart. (True story )

I so do that!
If I'm pushing the trolley I always drift round the aisles and take the most awkward paths between shoppers. Then you feel smug because you didn't bump anything. :sly:

Everyone who likes cars does it, even me. But if you're also crazy enough to add sound effects then of course you're going to have some weird looks too :sly: .

I get the weird looks. So much so, my girlfriend doesn't let me push the trolley! Lol.

Same here . My parents rented a car to do some holiday shopping. A Toyota Camry, and I drove it for the first time, I was looking for them. Where is the paddle shifters?!

Then I looked at the manual and we got the normal one not the paddle shifter one.

Or make low or silent sounds ;). Time to invest into a low sounding exhaust.

When you try to find the location iof High Speed Ring on Google Maps

I actually looked this up on Google just for fun, but only hotels came up :indiff: .

Don't worry, I'm not crazy and I know that High Speed Ring doesn't actually exist in real life.

If only...

When you make up locations for all the original tracks in your head.

Deep Forest's in Russia! :sly:

When you slide on ice and try to hold it like a drift.

 that could also be from being a rally fan, watching WRC, and attending local rallies.

I have blue gloves, blue helmet, and [will have] blue track suit for my Subaru.
