Sorry...

That's because there's no way you traced a 1/24 representation of the Nurburgring. I know this from slot-car experience. A much smaller version of the track "feels" the same as a proper scale representation. Let's see. 12 miles around. So about 3 miles on each side of the square. 1/24 is 1/8 mile on each side of the square. Did you really make the Nurburgring in a 600x600 foot square? (Each side 2x the length of a football field?)

I never said truck and track were in scale to each other. All I state was that I followed a perfect scale map of the track. It was nowhere near close to 1/24 scale. I wish that car had the range and battery to do a 1/24 scale representation...

Right. And so of course you got a better time, because the scale distance too short. (Let alone the fact that scale speeds are often unrealistically fast because physics doesn't scale down...)

Sorry, okay, so you were being jovial. Let's just leave it at this. People can then (maybe) understand why your time was so much faster.

If only real cars could zing around it at 1200MPH and stay on course. Of course, physics wouldnt allow this in anything short of an animation or tweaked game. Thanks for mentioning this, I shall now edit my original post to note this fact.

you know when you have played GT4 to much when 6 yes 6 of the "black cars" show up in the used cars list and you spend all of your money to get them and then go in to your garage and sell every thing that you haven't driven so you can get them all, I went from having about 5.5 million to 50,000 then back to 5 million....now I have a lot less cars in my garage :(

you know you play too much When you start bringing the laws of physics in and getting technical about scale representations of the ring and going completely off topic

You know you're playing GT4 too much when...

You drive the supermarket trolley (or shopping cart) like I do...
You drive your car to Paris, New York, Japan, etc. and take pictures of it.
You drive around the Yosemite (El Capitan) for real.
You play games like Burnout Revenge or FlatOut "for fun".
You watch a Top Gear review on TV and say "Ooh, I hope that one's in GT5".
You laser-etch the famous GT logo into your windscreen or your interior.
You purchase a pair of racing seats for your old banger.
You travel to Twin Ring Motegi, Japan, for a Photo Drive but they don't let you in.
You tune your car to the max, but want to test it's top speed. You spend years trying to find the real Test Course...

Kinda hard. There's a few oceans in the way.

Nardò Ring. Italy.

You might be playing too much GT4 when your little sister starts complaining she can't get to sleep because the turbo on your Mine's Skyline sounds like a robber sliding around outside.

You know when you have been playing GT4 to much when you still believe that your Toyota AE86 can go 230mph despite friends trying to convince you otherwise.
You know when you have been playing GT4 to much when your fingers have the letter X and Square impaled in your finger tips.
You know when you have been playing when you want bars telling you G-Force and acceleration and braking ferocity.
You know when you have been playing GT4 to much when you believe that if you crash a car at 200mph+ you will be able to drive on with no damage or injuries.
This thread is awesome!

A car crash at 80mph is what drove me to GT4 for my speed fix. Lets just say that the damage to the guilty drivers insurance was 6 figures as compensation for my injuries.

You know you're playing GT4 too much when you consider playing GT3 to be rehab.

when looking on the nardo ring i found a 5 white cars, 1 silver or gray car, and an indistinguishable gray blob that may have been another silver or gray car ( near the bottom.) just wanted to point that out :D

You know you're playing GT4 too much when you think it might be a professional pastime.

went on google and found THIS

If you zoom in far enough you can see the cars on it :) :)

I have it marked in GE. Along with many other significant racetracks.:D

You may be playing GT4 too much when you go onto Google Earth and put a place mark at every GT4 track, city ones included.

when your teacher tells you to turn to page 64, and you can't help but utter "Ah yes, 64, the number of hp many K cars including Honda Beat and Suzuki Cappuchino have, as well as the year of the Honda S600 and Ginetta G4. Ah, good times..."

(Guilty.)

You know you're playing GT4 too much when you try out LFS and are utterly amazed by the sheer realism of the racing.

When I first got GT2, I remembered the first 3 digits of my friends's phone number just because it was the same horsepower as my XJ220.

You know you play GT4 too much when:

You buy a wireless controller and take a S#!% with the bathroom door open, so you can play GT4 while on the toilet.

You find someone named bob in real life and tell him to drive your car.

Your friends call you nocturnal for staying up all night playing GT4.

You think that your car can do wheelies past 300MPH.

You feel that you can safely go past 60MPH on a downhill with a 120+ year old motor carriage.

Someone is speaking about GT4 on the phone and you consider it phone sex.

You A-Spec ALL 3 of the 24 hour races.

The graphics in the game turns you on.

You name your U.S. Dollars credits.

You know you play Gran Turismo 4 too much:

When you have spent about 10 hours in 4 days, attempting to attain the silver medal in the B-5 license test, just to get a time that is just 4 milliseconds smaller than the limit. Although, I did earn gold medals for B1-B7 while attempting to get silver in the B-5 license test, during this time period.
