Period racing tuned (Exhaust, manifold, lightening, suspension etc.) Ginetta G4 is by far and away my favourite and pretty rapid too.

Mini cooper.

Probably the only front wheel drive car i can actually drive without understeering off the road. Quite frankly insulting it's down as a German car. The 'new' minis are German but hands off the original!

Jensen Interceptor.

My drift car. Looks brilliant apart from the hideous glass hatchback. Big American V8 sounds brilliant.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage '99

Fantastic looking car, with very powerful engine. Let down by being extremely nose heavy, but on straighter tracks this means it's power/weight far exceeds other similar PP cars. Think it's the only car i've encountered where reducing power increase PP.

TVR V8S

Great looking car, quite classic looking, and has the soundtrack of a rover V8.

Jag XJ13 :)

Great Elise fan too, I love all of them.

TVR Speed-12.

I kid, I kid. Aston Martin Vanquish probably. Good memories with that beaut.

Amazed this hasn't been mentioned yet. Someone try to tell me its not British lol.
Red Bull HQ is 30 minutes away from where i live ;)

I really love the G4 as well. Brings back memories of watching them run when I was a child. Now I can only see them in real life at the vintage events, but they do seem to have quite a following still. Great little car. One of my favourites in the game.

My favourite British rides in GT5 aren't equal to the British cars in GT5 I love the most in real life since the E-Type, Interceptor, V8 Vantage, Elan, Europa, Carlton, Ginetta, Mini Marcos, etc. aren't used that much by me since they lack a (decent) cockpit view
The Caterham easily became my favourite Standard car since it features something resembling a decent cockpit view and possibly one of my general favourites right now.

As for the Premium selection, think I like driving the Esprit slightly more than I do the McLaren F1 even though I love that car and love driving it.
The GT's by Aston and Jaguar are lovely too, as are the Evora and Elite, it's a shame the TVR's suffer so much from default understeer which you can't seem to fully dial out (at least I haven't succeeded so far).
But there's one clear overall winner, which is the Jaguar XJ13, each time you drive it you ask yourself, why don't I drive this thing much more than I do?

Red Bull may well be from austria i have no idea but the red bull racing team is based in milton keynes uk.

Which national anthem get's played frequently after the German one when Vettel won?
There's your answer.

That's because Red Bull Racing was originally Jaguar, which originally was Stewart Grand Prix :) But the team is now Austrian...

British automobiles definitely have won me over big time. That island definitely knows how to make beautiful beaaauuuutifull automobiles. Whomever has contributed to it's constructions should be proud of the strong heritage behind British automobilism.

Naturally I am a huge fan of anything spawned by McLaren (And for me, hands down, my favorite European cars).

But two other cars have caught my fancy.

On the smaller side of things, I love the Vauxhall VX220 2000 and it's turbo variant. It's compactness lend it an agile look, not to mention it's a tough car to master driving, but once this small but ferocious beast has been tamed, oh it drives circles around it's competitors. Love it love it.

On the RIDUNKOLOUS side of things, the TVR Cerbera Speed 12 is an obscenely 820hp monster that intimidates even the toughest of super sports cars. Love it love it love it.

I suppose if RBR had to use the British anthem, McLaren would have to use the Australian New Zealand anthem. And if the '64+ Ford GT is American, then the X1 is definitely Austrian. :p

the McLaren F1 is a psychopath without TSC or ASM. it's uncontrollable! i prefer the triumph spitfire. it looks nice and handles well.

Just like to point out that the RS200 was powered by a bdt not a cosworth.

Isn't a BDT a turbo'd BDA, itself "derived" from the FVA, so absolutely is a Cosworth unit? They're all essentially modified from production Ford engines, to varying degrees, sure. It was still Cosworth's work in getting the level of performance out of them that they did; with Ford's money, of course. :p

Not sure if troll or just :dunce:

If the latter; a million :dunce: hats for you sir.

The British car I find myself driving the most is the
03' MG TF160.
160 HP, 1150 kg and 50 50 weight balance
It makes a good car for low PP racing, and souped up and given a
good tune it can really grip.

What exactly in that reply constitutes to trolling?

The national anthem I was referring to is ofcourse the Austrian one as the national anthem of the constructors country of origin gets played right after the national anthem of the drivers country of origin in Formula One which indicates RedBullRacing officially are Austrian regardless of where the cars are build.

And Adrian Newey is from England...

But that doesn't make the car anymore British, Gordon Murray was born in South Africa whilst Alec Issigonis was from Greek descent, the McLaren F1 isn't considered partly African and neither is the original Mini considered to be remotely Greek.

But not only is the car built in England, the designer is English, and the team principal of Red Bull Racing is also English. the owners of Red Bull GmbH (Austrian) are just the guys putting the money in to it

There's no right or wrong, I guess it just comes down to what each individual person would class as 'British'. I personally would class the Red Bull cars to be British, but others would call them Austrian.
