I honestly loved playing GT2, GT3 and GT4 as that’s all I had at the time (referring to the GT games I owned. I had a whole bunch of games years ago and still have them). I played them all the time as I loved playing the Career modes. I pretty much went from GT4 to GTS since I never got a PS3 (I wish I could’ve). I played a fair amount of GTS but now that I’ve got a daughter, playing GTS is pretty much a rarity (I play with a G29). I still love GTS but I don’t play it enough to classify myself as obsessed with it as of current

From the racing side of the game I am probably about 25%, liveries, 100% so overall I'm probably about 50% GT Sport.

It will never be my longest played game since GTA V over PS3/PS4 currently holds the record at 5 years and ongoing but I don't game every
single moment of my day since work and real life usually interfere.

Aside from the upcoming exhibition series I am catching up with other games as still can't beat simple Mega Drive Classic games on Sega
Mega Drive collection that you can finish within a few hours at a fraction of the cost if you had to buy them new back in Mega Drive days.

Ever since GT5 I've been obsessed with time trials. I've put hundreds of hours, maybe over a thousand hours over the span of the last 3 games. I just love to see how each car compares with the others, and this way too I get to drive every car in the game. I went the most crazy with GT6, back when I was unemployed and had infinite time to play. Tested over 700 cars at Mid-Field Raceway in that one. Link to that thread is in my signature, complete with replays of each car. Like I said, I went crazy.

Every GT game has been my most heavily played game at the time. The original was the reason i bought and only game i had on my ps1 for like 2 years. Unfortunately, cuse i dont have time, there are more games i am interested in now, but GT still gets the most time. Especially since i got a g29 last month, now i can't stop..... lol

I liked gt1 in my teens, thought gt2 was better and gr3 massively bad. Quit gaming as life intervened, married, two kids etc and got back into it 18 months ago with project cars 1.

I am, first and foremost, a racer. I enjoy driving but I love racing and gts offers ne the absolute beat chance to get good, fair racing in an evenly matched environment. The driving is stale at best, but the racing is first rate.

I only play other games when playing with my 7 year old.

Since online was added to Gran Turismo I have been racing a lot. With GTS I can't stop.
GTS is always in the disc drive, over 5600 sport races completed, and I'm on my 4th DS4 for GTS. The R2 triggers keep wearing out.

GT1 and two were fun in splitscreen.
GT3 I broke the disc due to the crap AI.
GT4 I finished everything there was, loved it.
GT5 Finished the campaign, although not the 24h endurance races, played it online daily until PSN broke down for a month.
GT6 Platinum trophy and more online racing although not as much as GT5, lobby system is so hit and miss.
GTS Although the SR system leaves a lot to be desired, there's almost always a full competitive race within 10 minutes.

My first console driving game was Forza 4... and then the whole Microsoft PGR4 Forza3 etc.

I bought GT5 and a PS3 on the provisio it was the 'new generation'... pre Spec 2.0 wasnt what people wanted or something I could warm to but since I paid $199 for my ps3 slim and the copy of GT5 Collectors was cheap 2nd hand off a friend then not a great loss.

After Spec 2.0 though this game is pretty amazing, the B-Spec mode is the best there ever was.

Both GT5 and 6 were major time sinks but it was a pain to play every day when at times I worked 6am to 6pm.

Now GT Sport makes doing the daily quite easy to do... like that's 30 mins a day?

I just don't really have anything better to do (pathetic, I know). :embarrassed: I changed positions at work, and now my days off are different from the buddies I used to play golf with. For me, golf is half social.
I think there's only one GT game I don't have, but I don't remember which one. It's one of a few games that I will always buy any new editions that are released (along with GTA, Ace Combat, and used to be Tiger Woods golf, but they screwed that one up).
I like the online racing because it's really competitive, and semi-social.

Thanks guys glad I'm not alone my collection of gt games.

Hell I still love gt psp

Oh I forgot about Eiger Nordwand on PS3, that was pretty much all I played when the ps3 came out. GT5p was great as well, precursor to GT Sport online modes!

Hard to believe that was 12 years ago already. I see I sucked at taking pictures.

Same here, love it. It looks so smooth. If you look behind in chase cam you can see the driver turning the wheel crossing his arms.

There was also a video on youtube of a beta version of GT5P with it (F430 in cockpit view), but it looks like it was taken down. Too bad they haven't implemented full wheel rotation in a full game yet.

I was obsessed with GT from the very beginning, it's the reason I love racing games now. That culminated with me buying three PS3's and three copies of GT5 so I could play the game in triple screen. Things started going downhill with GT6 and my obsession has mostly disappeared with the release of GTS, I'm hoping GT7 will be a return to form.

Bored of GTsport: No offense to sport mode controller users but its no fun racing with you (faster than wheel user on straights but slower on some corners) Controller users cars looks twitchy. Too much grind to get classic cars. Too many disappointing duplicates in daily workout. Through updates it seem they downscaled the music. Currently, i don't see a desire to play anymore.

forza 7 just flat boring: I don't care about driver gear or AI dancing (corny). bored to sleep online races. The childish theme of forza 7 career mode bores me to sleep (I still get loot box vibe). It almost hurts to play this game.

Assetto Corsa: (ps4) Boring Boring Boring. yes It drive physics good but still boring now. lack of content makes it a dull forgettable sim for me.

Project cars 2: Like as before they arrogantly released an unfinished piece of garbage game then try to fix later. The Ai is slow as grandma going in corners but superman speed going out of corners. But even through all the bugs and garbage... The Dynamic Time and weather, game feel and race options, tracks selection and variety of cars all keeps me obsessed with this game. online races are not that great but still most enjoyable using my wheel. As of today for me Project cars 2 leaves Forza 7 Gt-sport and Assetto in the dust and collecting dust on a shelf. In project cars 2 every race can be with a different experience every day this never gets boring.

I'm just holding onto the hope this game/franchise can draw me in like the franchise once could. I've been a heavy GT gamer for years ever since the birth of Gran Turismo. It's just gotten worse as the series released more games, as far as grinding went. But this version just left me so frustrated and I don't want to get frustrated like thay by entertainment naturally, so all I do is the occasional cruise around in a favourite car or 2 as it is a good looking drive here. But not long after that, I start to remember just how bad this game is for me and turn it off. It's a grind and a broken mess in regards to their new direction.

Went from a hardcore fan to one that's too full of criticism. I've cooled from my early frustratuons and disapointment, but with today's gaming trends of microtransactions, and this game lying about adding them, I fear my GT peak days are long gone now. I pop by here in hope the penalty system is fixed and some content is added/changed to make it just a fun game as much as a racing sim. It fails on both counts for me until then.

Wasted potential to me. There's room in today's gaming for a well thought out campaign not to be an afterthought, even RDR2 made near a billion. There's room in today's gaming not to make things only obtainable with a horrendous and boring grind. And there's certainly room in today's gaming to not make things like that penalty system so troll friendly and broken.

A bit of a shame, but one dud in the franchise after this many years won't see me give up hope just yet. The next GT really needs to score a home run though, it really does. If these guys do like Rockstar and Red Dead Online, and show they've learned nothing but how to cause friction and monitise every little aspect. Times are gonna get dark in future. Granted, the MTX here aren't as intrusive as others, though 'the grind' really is, at least in GT6 there was incentives and events to counter it. Sony see what others do and I'm sure if those other companies clean up, Sony will want to as well. Regardless of what PD want to do.

I can't lie, the recent issues some are having with store bought cars is hilarious to me. I'm really hoping that causes some to just thing 'pass' but with some defence I've read from confessed glitchers and casino-like whales, it's tragic to think they'll just get more grindy and greedy with MTX. They know some just don't care about gaming and will just throw money at it, gaming suffers that way.

As usual, some will just write this off. But look at the gaming world right now, then consider that many investors just don't care about us gamers and want a return. That simple. Something's gotta pop, or it'll just get worse.

In short, was obsessed, now just fatigued by the poor creative behind this and many games of late. Knock it all you want, that's just how I feel. Sorry.

GTS by far my most played GT with well over 1500hrs total. Not all racing of course, I spend lots of time in the livery creator, photomode etc.

I could never go back to an old GT and play it seriously. They’re extremely crude and lacking in key areas like physics and sounds. Sim racing is one of those genres where old titles don’t age well.

GT1 100%
GT2 100%
GT3 70%
GT4 100%
GT5 60%
GT6 0%
GTS 100%

I was a fan during the GT1-4 days though I wouldn’t say obsessed. Still played a lot of other racing games and genres.

I will say GT5-6 got me obssessed, especially GT6 with the course generator. I could never get tired of that feature. Ever. Other than a few other non-racing games, I barely played anything else on PS3.

Then came PS4 and I started opening my eyes and realized how many other great driving games there are. GTS is not even one of my regularly played games, it probably gets around 10% of my attention. Too busy with PC2, both current DiRT games, Dakar, WRC7, V-Rally and some other rally titles to bother with GTS. The game is flat for an offline gamer like me. And considering if you don’t play much it makes the credit grinding all the more intolerable. And I’m not using real money to buy cars.

Maybe if they expanded the VR aspect I would play more, but I still wouldn’t count on becoming obssessed. It may never happen again with this franchise.

I always played GT games the most on each Playstation generations.

On PS2 GT4 the most, although the for some reason my game stopped working. I heard that PS2 slims have troubles with GT4, so maybe that's why But I still loved it more than any PS2 game. I was only 5 years old back then.

On PS3 GT5 prologue the most during 2008-2010, then GT5 2010-2013 and then GT6 2013-2014. Unfortunately my ps3 broke so I couldn't play it anymore.

Then I bought GTS back in October
2017 on PS4, I was a little bit disappointed. I played it, but not as much as used to play older GT games, mainly because of the content. So I played GTA Online more than GTS. As GTS had more content, I stopped to play GTA as much and played GTS more, but it still wasn't as good for me. Then Red Dead Redeteption 2 came and as soon as I got it I haven't touched GTS for weeks. After I beated RDR2 I tried multi-player, unfortunately, I got bored of it, so I returned to GTS. GTS had even more content now and I enjoyed it and I'm enjoying it more than before. I mainly started to play Daily races and FIA races more and I'm very excited for the exhibition FIA season. I haven't played any other game apart from GTS for almost a month now. I'm also planning to buy a wheel for a first time. So yeah, I'm quite obsessed with GT :D

GT1: Something totally new and revolutionary at the time. I was hooked.
GT2: More of the same but greatly expanded. I was still hooked.
GT3: Huge graphical improvement but the formula slowly started to bore me.
GT4: I barely played this. It just didn't grab me.
GT5: Another big graphical improvement and the online community aspect kept me coming back.
GT6: Slightly more content but most features turned out worse than the predecessor, and the PS3 was getting too old for me.
GTS: Yet another graphical leap and finally it feels like a serious simulator. Very focused albeit somewhat uncertain in scope and ambition. Less is more.

I played GT2,GT, GT3, GT4 and a bit of GT5 religiously until life took over. I did get GT6 when it came out and got to play it periodically. GT Sport, I've been able to invest a bit more time in now my daughter is a bit older.

I only have the X2014 races to do in GT mode but I don't really do many Sport Mode races because I'm really not that great online. So I'm hopeful for some bigger expansions soon.
