Wow nice what's that gt4 special disk wat region is that n what makes it special

I'm just holding onto the hope this game/franchise can draw me in like the franchise once could. I've been a heavy GT gamer for years ever since the birth of Gran Turismo. It's just gotten worse as the series released more games, as far as grinding went. But this version just left me so frustrated and I don't want to get frustrated like thay by entertainment naturally, so all I do is the occasional cruise around in a favourite car or 2 as it is a good looking drive here. But not long after that, I start to remember just how bad this game is for me and turn it off. It's a grind and a broken mess in regards to their new direction.

Went from a hardcore fan to one that's too full of criticism. I've cooled from my early frustratuons and disapointment, but with today's gaming trends of microtransactions, and this game lying about adding them, I fear my GT peak days are long gone now. I pop by here in hope the penalty system is fixed and some content is added/changed to make it just a fun game as much as a racing sim. It fails on both counts for me until then.

Wasted potential to me. There's room in today's gaming for a well thought out campaign not to be an afterthought, even RDR2 made near a billion. There's room in today's gaming not to make things only obtainable with a horrendous and boring grind. And there's certainly room in today's gaming to not make things like that penalty system so troll friendly and broken.

A bit of a shame, but one dud in the franchise after this many years won't see me give up hope just yet. The next GT really needs to score a home run though, it really does. If these guys do like Rockstar and Red Dead Online, and show they've learned nothing but how to cause friction and monitise every little aspect. Times are gonna get dark in future. Granted, the MTX here aren't as intrusive as others, though 'the grind' really is, at least in GT6 there was incentives and events to counter it. Sony see what others do and I'm sure if those other companies clean up, Sony will want to as well. Regardless of what PD want to do.

I can't lie, the recent issues some are having with store bought cars is hilarious to me. I'm really hoping that causes some to just thing 'pass' but with some defence I've read from confessed glitchers and casino-like whales, it's tragic to think they'll just get more grindy and greedy with MTX. They know some just don't care about gaming and will just throw money at it, gaming suffers that way.

As usual, some will just write this off. But look at the gaming world right now, then consider that many investors just don't care about us gamers and want a return. That simple. Something's gotta pop, or it'll just get worse.

In short, was obsessed, now just fatigued by the poor creative behind this and many games of late. Knock it all you want, that's just how I feel. Sorry.
Yeah the mtx, grind and daily spinners are a big bummer. It’s weird how Sony’s other games like Horizon Dawn Zero and God of War have none of that crap(maybe Uncharted 4 too, don’t know I haven’t played it). So I wonder if it’s decided by the studio and not Sony.

P.S. Even the birthday car was a joke, it gave me my 9th Genesis Rally car.

Yep. PD shouldn't have scrimped this series from having exciting features, since somehow, that's what happened with GT Sport.

GTS is my only played game at the moment and the first GT game I have owned. I don't like racing games and managed to go 50yrs without playing anything deeper than Pole Position.

I bought GT Sport only because it was on special offer on the ps store and that's what the rest of the guys in my Destiny Clan were playing whilst waiting for the next D2 update.

A G29, A playseat and countless hrs later and I'm still trying and failing to be fast. But I do love the trying.

Best completely not suited to me game I've ever purchased.

My First GT game was GT2 on the PSone, the only one after that I never got was GT6 for some reason. I love Gt Sport, I never really raced online before but now I love it. I boycotted GT Sport for a few months because of the changes they made to the FIA events but now that they have changed to something a agree with a bit more I am back.

I love it, I put on a custom playlist on Spotify and drive laps, it's so relaxing to me.

This weekend I brought my wheel out of retirement and went through the SP Campaign, it was so much fun. I'm a lot slower on the wheel so I don't dare use it for online since I'm too competitive to race with something I know I'm slow in. At the moment it's one of a few games I cycle through but it never lost it's appeal like most games do. Red Dead 2 comes to mind, super fun for a month, beat the story, shelved.

It may be off-topic already but is there any Collin McRae rally game for the PS4? That game is great for those who like to race with rally cars.

Dirt Rally look it up, Dirt Rally 2 is coming out do not get Dirt 4 you will be wasting your time Dirt Rally is what will sort your Colin McRae cravings out.

Oh yes, I forgot the series became named that one. The game is cool but I wish it had more rally cars available on it.

I love GT ever since the PS One days and have been playing every major release. right now, I divide my free time between RDR2 and GTS. In GTS, I mostly avoid sport mode and spend my time in GT League mode.

I played Dirt Rally a lot, it was amazing in bringing back the feel of the original CMR.

Im also waiting on a another rare item from Japan, GT4 Online Test Version

GT Sport is the first driving sim i've ever had (actually no, i had Geoff Crammond Grand Prix back in the day).... do i like it... am i obsessed? Well the wife said 'if you don't pay me more attention and stop playing that stupid driving game then i'm leaving you'
I said 'well i'd switch to the wet tyres, it's throwing it down out there'

Loved Geoff Crammond Grand Prix, I remember playing F1GP 2 on my old 486 had to turn all the detail off as I had a slow PC, Geoff Crammond what a legend will have to google him and see what he is doing these days.

Currently, it's like this for me:

GTS: 45% - And that's because I don't own another dedicated racing game right now, career mode is ass(it doesn't even have tournaments), license tests and driving missions where a walk in the park, Sport Mode is not really my cup of tea, Scapes is really not my cup of tea, Livery Editor is amazing but with cosmetic upgrade parts to go with it looks weird in the N-class cars, soundtrack is muted because I couldn't enjoy it at all...Good thing they finally got most of the engine sounds sorted out though, and also the Porsches, I'll give them that.

GT6: 0% - I didn't bought it out of sheer despite for PD closing down the servers of GT5 a mere month after GT6 was released, which for me was a dirty move to push players to buy GT6...I still haven't forgot that, PD!

GT5: 65% - The online mode is something I always wanted in the GT series and the lobbies in GT5 needed some work, but I appreciated what we had, career mode was great but it felt like something was missing at times...Back in the days I played the game, I wasn't focusing on other games more than this.

GT4: 80% - Lovely career mode, cool driving missions(but downright impossible for me though), the return of the used car dealership, the begging of addition of cosmetic parts to street legal cars was good, overall I loved the game;

GT3: 50% - The lack of the used car dealership rubbed me the wrong way, and so did the perception of reduced length of the career mode because of the lack of used cars, and also the removal of Racing Modifications for street legal cars, but I still enjoyed popping wheelies with my Escudo...Also this game had the loudest wind noise as far as I remember, I though it was cool.

GT2: 100% - I was blown away with this game right from the start with the opening movie, the career is for me the absolute best in the series, the amzing soundtrack is still ingrained in my memories, the goddamn game was magical for me and I miss everything about it, definitely the game I played the most back in the days...God, those were the days.

GT1: 75% - The game that introduced me to realistic racing games, career mode was cool but short lived, but it was one of the most played games I had back when I was a kid until I had GT2, that Corvette Sting Ray in Arcade Mode was the tits!

This is the game I have waited for coming out on the Playstation 4. Also a game I will keep playing because it gives me the satisfaction I was looking for in a sim racer. Offline racing, online racing with a system that prevents a wreckfest (i cannot deny that this is not the perfect system yet) and enjoying the livery creation.
