What's the highest ranking you've achieved so far? Doesn't matter which round it is. Mine is 60th in round 1-2, I know it's not that hard of a test but I'm kinda proud of it. :)

I'm currently 337th for 2-1, but last night when I ran the 53.710 it was 38th place... I guess I gotta go back and run it again!

27th (Stick) 2-3 after a few runs. I think not being able to use gas and brake simultaneously is hurting me here. What's funny is I kept getting times with X4X only..So .848, .747, .646, and now .545. How odd is that eh?

Hi mate, whats is benefit of "to use gas and brake simultaneously" ?
thx

I just got around to it this evening, after finding out how to access it from the Canadian PSN Store. Considering I'm without my wheel now, I'm pretty happy with the 551st I managed on the Silvia's final test; I left probably about 0.200 out there, but was just trying not to overcook the last two turns, which ate up a lot of the lead I had on my previous best's ghost.

It was enough to be at the top of my friend's list, just pipping Famine, and, at least for now, the NA 2011 GTAcademy winner :P.

5th on 2-5 and some top 20/50/100 in others... I hate 1-1 1-2 1-3 2-1 xD

DS3

Doesn't matter how many times you retry, if your trying the same thing over and over your not going to improve :P.

Well, I hope you're wrong buddy, because I'm on my fifth hour straight, and I'm hoping a top ten somewhere,

Well each time you attempt something you should be trying something slightly different :). If you have the right technique the things that will be different are braking, acceleration and steering inputs, but if something is constantly the same it won't happen.

As an example I spent 2 hours on 1-1 last night looking at the precision of the turn in for the wheel to gain improvements as I knew the precision of the turn in was the key, slight run off into the dirt and you lost time so I had to be on the very edge of the track, but not off it. So my steering input was different on each attempt to nail it :).

Hi Tigney :)

You're right...for wheel users. But for DS3 users its more difficult to have that precision (at least for me). So i have to try a few more times than you with a wheel. hehe

1-1, 1-2, 1-3 and 2-1 are so boring O.o

Currently 35th in 1-1, I know, 1-1 is lame, but Im not stopping till I'm on the first page, and I use a controller too.

Hey mate :)!

They are boring, but worthwhile :)! It depends really you probably can get the same precision to some extent with the turn in especially with the sensitivity settings, but for throttle and braking ye precision is harder as your either do 1 or the other (Well I was with the sticks) so you can't get that vital 1% difference in throttle or braking.

or...In other words... you are telling me to buy a wheel xD

You're right in that acc/brake issue. Its really my main struggle.

You will struggle with acc/brake issue thats what I saw when we were racing, with a sliding back end sometimes. But to be fair mate, if you want the best shot at racing for Nissan you would have to buy a wheel, doesn't matter what wheel though as if your fast on a pad a £30 wheel with no ffb and pedals will still give you that tiny bit more control, obviously the more you pay to a point the more your precision will go up but ye you get the picture :)!

Yesterday I made it well into top-100 on 2-1, 2-2 and 2-3.

Today with 40k more players only one of them remain

Coasting in the top 3k lol. Just went for the golds this time. But I think that Nurburgring one I am gonna go for serious pace... :P

Rank 45 was the best I could manage, on 2-3 (Rome)
Already lost a few places though.

Still, it gives me a 3rd place for the Benelux region for that event.
