Ah, so that's you excuse :)
The race that I was in with you, I had terrible problems with the Mustangs.
Caught them in the worst spots, and pretty much had the same guy give me fits trying to pass him every time. 👎

But i had races were all mustangs just kept on there racing lane, they were easy to pass, even though you meet them on the worst spotss you yield a bit and go around. But some guys waving or driving in the middle. then you have to make a stand in a split second. its hard sometimes.

Stupid kids + mommy's credit card = loss of iRating & terrible races.
I am absolutely sick and tired of this experience

aww man, is it that bad? I bought a new computer that is being shipped. I'm ready to purchase the 2 year membership which is discounted by 50%. I was hoping there wouldn't be many kids.

Lol. But i understand and do know the frustration.

But a fact is when you are a average driver you meet those kids in the pack. if you are in front u usual can drive clean. This counts for all league from rookie -> to A-class.

No it isn't that bad at all. It can get to you sometimes, but when it's all clean and close racing, there is no other virtual racing experience like it, believe me.

indeed. I am pretty sure those clowns are in every racing game or sim so...

You pretty much have to expect them in which ever game you play. I'm just hoping that iRacing is more of a mature crowd. I can't wait to give it a go. It has been a long time coming!

Just frustrated right now that's all. It has my love don't get me wrong, just gets so aggravating at times. I have lost over 400 iRating in 2 days due to mindless blow holes. Hoping the rash of idiots and their trial offers will expire in due time. This TT driving coupled with license boosting needs to be corrected by iRacing. I have earned and learned to get me where I'm at. Far to much for people to jump in and drive just to screw mine up. Ok.......vent is closed.

there alot of nice drivers out there, but there are some guys who ruins it for everyone.

My first race i did on Jefferson course ther was i guy who almost hot me 3 times.

He hit me on the backstraight when i was slow after a mistake.
I was driving slow on the left and he was side by side. so his lane is blocked. He just wants the overtake so badly and just runs in my rear. he just had to lift the throttle (his excuse he couldn't go anywhere)

a few laps later he bumps me again. which he accepts he was fault there.

2 corners later i see him again in my mirror. i see him comming and i let him dive into the inside. if i just took my own racing line. he should have dive-bombed me.

After the race i send him a message he needs to calm down. If he is not so adressive he could win very easly.

My last race he made car contact 4 or 5 times. everyone turned against him, but nothing is his fault. he ends second whit 21 incident points. If you make that much contact you should be get disqualified. and still he can be having 3.00+ on his D-license. they should put him back in rookie.

Yesterday wasn't my day...

First I lost som .20ish SR in road racing, and most of it in a qualifying session for B-Class IndyCar at Laguna Seca. Challenging to drive.... I need a lot more practice there.

Then I lost .20 SR on the oval side in a single Late Model race at Thompson. I was in the top split and most incidents came from hits from behind 👎
Anyway I wasn't able to find a good approach to this track. It's not my favourite. I hoped that I could get a instant promotion to B-Class during this season but now I am not sure. Difficult to achieve a zero-incident race on this track.

I know how you feel, except my problem was with my SR instead of iRating.

I did a race yesterday and I approached this corner and realised somebody was off track, so instead of driving across the grass like any normal person would have done he decided to reverse onto the track without looking giving me a contact 4x. I most definitely gave him a piece of my mind, and he didn't even apologise.

+1!!!!!!! This is the story in fixed set-up races. Open set-up has less rif-raf so to say.

Last night I did an open set B Class race at Talladega. Obviously 60 laps. Somehow we had NO cautions. But, 3 big wrecks did occur. However, the 3 wrecks all took place below the yellow line, thus, NO cautions.

My friend Seth and I just did our due diligence. Stayed away from the ****, and finished 1-2. It is also sad when lap down cars try to intentionally wreck you to either get a lap back or just be a dbag......

Honestly, that might have been only my 2nd plate race I have been in to go caution/wreck free! And of course, I won both of those races....

We then did the fixed set directly after the open. We were in the top split race. On lap 7, some bozo in front of us loses "focus" according to him. Slips up into the wall, and careens back down in front of the WHOLE field minus 1 car. So, after the wreck, only 3 of 26 cars were running without damage.....

bummer! what race/events are you running? Rookie? D-class? C-class? Did you save a replay and examine the race to see if you could have done anything to avoid the incidents? Did you qualify to start closer to teh front of the grid? Too many backmarkers?

copy and post of image the race results. Or tell us what races your iRating loss happened so we can look at the other pilots events.

Try not to get too frustrated and see what you can learn from the races. good luck!

These things are happening way too often, I'm up to D class and still people wont use the "Relative" screen to watch for others before pulling back out on track.

The other day I had a guy hitting everyone, took the lead by hitting a guy and then hit who he could, he ended up leading 8 laps then was passed, he hit the guy who passed him and flipped his car, finished 5th instead of 2nd, his SR went UP ! ! ! +0.06 for that.

I saved the replay and posted it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTto3QnXTEw

And no, I dont feel bad putting up a video, he was intentionally trying to ruin peoples SR and ruin their race, if you look him up in iRacing you'll see it took him 2 days to go from rookie to class A (this is the problem, easy come easy go for some), then back down to D where he is now.

I had the most bizarre one last night.

Racing the McLaren at Daytona, I was having a great race against this one guy. We must have done nearly ten laps staying within about a second of each other, swapping places back and forth. Really clean, really great racing.

With about 5 minutes to go in the 45 minute session he overcooks it into a corner and I swoop past to a three second lead. With only a few laps to go, I've got it wrapped up unless I make a mistake.

Now comes the bizarre part.

So what the guy does, he completely ignores to bus stop and just flies straight past the oval. This gains him I dunno how much, but he's solidly in front of me now. "Righto", I thought, "You're insane but you're going to have to slow down for the black flag."

Little did I know that you can get all the way to the first corner without the penalty triggering. He gets to the first corner and literally stops on the apex. I get a fright as I come round the corner and see a car stopped there, twitch and I spin it. He finishes serving his penalty and drives off.

The crash was largely my own fault, I could have avoided him and beat him had I been a better driver, although it's a tough corner to change your line on. But I don't understand why you would have a great race with someone (I assume he was having as much fun as I was) and then just cheat your way past when things start going wrong.

It's bound to happen - the great race turns to 🤬 effect.
I was in a fantastic Nvidia race the other day at Okyama. For the first 18 laps there was a great 4 way battle for the lead - all really respectful but still really competitive. If you made any error you lost a spot - it was that close :D
Then with 2 laps to go one driver made an error which left me on the inside line and up to his driver door entering the hairpins.
He totally apex's me in the first turn but we both recover and are now fighting alone for 2nd / 3rd (another driver took a cut corner penalty and was out of contention). We both make clean runs through turn 1 - but he braked really late and had to save the car a bit. Entering turn 2 he simply slammed into me, causing a spin, then he turned into me and pushed me again as if to 'repay' the earlier incident which was totally his fault. He cruised on to place 2nd and I wound up in 5th
I was on lap 18 of an incident free race, and it would have been 2 inc. free races in a row with my previous inc. coming on lap 1, 2 races prior. It was my best streak ever... gone:(

Ouch.

Well here is my last few races that have all gone badly:

Race 1: (McLaren at Daytona) I started in 5th and made my way up to 3rd, my team mate was ahead in 2nd and I couldn't catch him because I was running a defensive line all race and somehow managed to hold my position for 38 minutes of the 45 minute race. Eventually somebody gets by me, so on the next lap I attack back just as we head across the line, I was on the outside of him and for no reason he leaves his line and moves up towards me. So my front left caught his rear right wheel and it causes the front of my car to lift so I end up hitting the wall and the car behind then hits me wrecking both of our cars.
I hadn't had any incident points all race and was all set to gain about .50 SR however because 2 cars hit me I got 2 contact penalties. Thankfully the guy that moved off his line and caused it admitted it was his fault and apologised. My team mate however run out of fuel and had to pit on the second to last lap so his race went bad as well.

Race 2: I started 3rd and my team mate started 2nd, however our lap times were considerably faster over time than the guy ahead, so we were all set for a 1 2 finish. The start was nice and clean and then for some reason somebody cuts across the infield and parks in the middle of the track. A car ahead of me hits him, then I do, then about 5 cars behind me do. Unfortunately I got the worst of it because my front end was wrecked ans was my engine, so after a 16 minute pit stop I was last (apart from the guys that disconnected). Everyone who got caught up in the collision were going to protest him before he came out with a ridiculous excuse that was 'I couldn't see anything, my screen went black, my wheel stopped working and I lost control' (Hardly believable as he somehow managed to park exactly in our path.)

So I lost a lot of SR yesterday and I'm planning on getting it back today.....

My first B-Class IndyCar race at Laguna Seca.

Open setup (I took one of the official forum, thx for sharing!), 41 Laps at Laguna Seca, Pit Stop required.

It was exciting! During practice I was never able to make more than 5 clean laps. But during that race I did only a single "off track x1" while letting a faster car lap me. (nothing serious, just drove a bit too far over the rumble strip)

I was 5 seconds behind the pace but managed to drive clean and constant. So at the end I finished 10th with only 1 INC and +0.31 SR 👍

After 41 Laps (actually 39 because I was 2 Laps down) I was really exhausted. I was so much concentrated all the time. But I also enjoyed it. It was my longest race in iRacing so far. Looking for more of that in the future :-)

Glad you enjoyed it. I will probably run the open setup race tomorrow in IndyCar so hopefully I will have as much fun as you.

So you run oval tomorrow? I wish you good luck and a lot of fun 👍

Next season I will try out B-Class oval as well. Maybe there is a special "Indy 500" event? That would be awesome :)

I was just in a Proto/GT race, driving the C6R. Top split, high strength of field. A total of 6 Corvettes, I started 6th and managed to work my way up to 4th and was battling for that spot the entire race. 2 laps to go and an LMP putting me a lap down moves over to much under braking into turn one and damages my suspension.. I drop from 4th down to 6th and finish there.. I was doing so well too. As expected no hint of an apology was made either..

Ah man, thats gotta be frustrating! Some people dont understand a little apology goes a long way sometimes.

I love it when patience pays off.

A couple of laps into my last Mclaren race the leader was streaking off ahead and second through fourth were squabbling like a pack of schoolgirls. Really aggressive stuff, late blocks, two and three wide through really stupid places, the whole lot. I was sitting in fifth, and while probably a little bit faster than all of them I knew it would be suicidal to try and work my way through three guys battling like that. And to be fair, it was quality entertainment watching the ridiculous lengths they were going to fighting each other so early in the race.

About five or six laps later, two of them collide trying to go side by side into the bus stop. Sweet, two down. I nipped past the other guy, and he settled down and just stuck in my draft without trying any silly moves once he realised I was faster. He kept me honest though, never more than about a second behind. Nice guy.

Ended up finishing second, and getting enough safety rating to finally take me up to A 4.99. Feels good, man. :)

Well this is my first season in IndyCar, but I'm sure I read somewhere that there was an Indy 500 event earlier in the year.

Also I won my first race in the McLaren yesterday after having a 42 minute long battle for first position. He eventually lost it on the second to last lap and almost took me off with him. It felt pretty darn good.

Also I am fed up of the Ford GT's... Some of them don't understand that McLarens can be faster around the track and don't give way. I had another race yesterday battling for 1st once again and a Ford GT got in my way and wouldn't let me past even though my laps were about 1 second quicker. I ended up spinning avoiding him and finished 3rd.

Finally a race I can finish at Charlotte in trucks. It seemed every fixed race had some weird thing happen to cause me to get caught up in a wreck.

I entered the open race using fixed setup which I wasn't sure how it would go. Two guys were using setups I know of for sure and one walked away with the win without too much pressure. I pitted the first 2 cautions and hung around 4th both times til I made a mistake to cause me to get loose which I saved. We had a super long green flag run which lead to a battle from 2-5th at any given time and we all ended up having to pit (which we did at different times). I was shocked to come out of there in 2nd after all that unfolded and was running some pretty decent lap times for a fixed set. Fastest was 29.6 and my average was around 30.1. It was a nice battle we had and actually showed me how to push the truck a little harder without losing the back end!

I had a awesome race at Charlottes's in a MX5 Roadster.

After winning quite easly today against not so good drivers. Now, i had a awesome race against some good experienced drivers. i didn't win but that didn't matter really.

I started on the 4th spot. I left the grid fast but i was a bit to carefull in the first corner, i dropped back to 7th or 8th place but before lap 1 finished i worked my way back up to 6th in a dense pack of cars. I worked my way up the next laps, untill 3th place. I could leave everyone behind and chase the leader but when i started to reach for his slipstream, 2 of my opponents came back in my slipstream. From there on, it was a hard fair battle whit 3 cars. We drived bumper to bumper, shared paint, made 3 in a row whitout being dirty for atleast 10 laps, i had 6 contacts(x0) whitout hard or dirty racing, just hard. Thats what i call a race. I ended 2nd whit 0 incident points.

I drive alot to find this races. The MX5-roadster should have a A-class championship

Ugggh....
A huge field in the Cadillac cup and a great start - 6 drivers pull away from the pack, with me in 5th.
Lap 2, the end of the long straight and some fool decides brakes are really unnecessary and slams into me sending me off track, and rolling. First pit repaired almost nothing (??? what happened to the first pit is free / quick / complete - rookie only??) and I had to get a tow and pit for over 10 minutes, which I wasn't about to do, so I quit

Jumped into the Grand Touring race (also at Mosport :D) and the field was over 25 :D:D.
Just after turn 1, lap 1 - I couldn't see the track there were so many cars spinning and bouncing around, naturally I hit someone. Tried to drive back to the pit, but the Jetta in front of me blew his engine so it was really tough. Left the pits and the car couldn't turn right properly - I wasn't even given the option to repair the car in the first pit... What am I missing here??
After a couple of difficult laps I eventually made it back to the pits and nothing was fixed. As soon as I left my stall I was told to pit because I had too much damage. Left the room, re-entered and tried to leave the pit again, only to hear the same message. I couldn't drive more than 10 feet without going squirly so I called for a tow and just left the stupid car in the pits.
I wonder how I did

Hopefully it worked out better for Mac and Jon 👍
What a frustrating night of (not really) racing :(

That GTC race was beyond ridiculous, I started in 25th and finished 6th.. I literally stopped to avoid cars going every which direction. I think me and the other Solstice were the only people out back who got through intact.. messy messy race. I won the Solstice class and it's awesome to win it on my home track :). How can I go back to the very beginning while viewing the replay? I can only get back to lap 4..

That's weird... the lap 4 stuff. I swear the sim is acting up today, but I'm in a mood to believe anything ;)

I saw the results Mac - nice Job - total crap fest in that race. Playing dodge'em was the only way to go.
I have the replay if you want the start. Assuming you can watch it I can PM it to you 👍
