Forza Horizon 4 Season Change: A Quiet Autumn Getaway

With Halloween just around the corner, a new Autumn season is now underway in Forza Horizon 4. Among the pumpkins lies a new set of events to accompany anyone going trick-or-treating.

There’s no new content this week, but there are more prizes in the Seasonal Playlist for 50% and 80% completion. There is another chance to win an unusual Danish hypercar and the ultimate electric Volkswagen.

Speed And Power

Big speed is the order of the week for Playlist prizes, with the Zenvo TSR-S leading the way.

The TSR-S may have the mad looks to rival a Lamborghini, but is not very well known in hypercar circles. Countering the lack of popularity, the Zenvo fires back with a twin-charged 5.8-liter V8 making 1,177hp. There is also active aerodynamics at play thanks to the Zenvo’s unusual rear wing. The centripetal wing will tilt to provide airflow to the loaded outside rear wheel during cornering.

For a more environmentally friendly approach to speed, there’s the Volkwagen ID.R. Built to push electric technology to the limit, the ID.R holds the outright record at the Pikes Peak hillclimb. Power for the ID.R comes from a pair of electric motors that put out a combined 670hp. The Pikes Peak aero package also ensures maximum downforce for brutally fast cornering speeds.

Autumn’s Photo Challenge is all about Mini. #MiniMountain will require you to take your Mini to be photographed at Arthur’s Seat, just outside Edinburgh. In terms of championship prizes, the Italdesign Zerouno and Toyota Corolla SR5 are up for grabs.

The more tempting prize this week is the 1985 Mazda RX-7. This “FB” generation of Mazda’s rotary sports car would set a template for the badge to become a car culture icon. Under the hood sits a 1.3-liter, twin-rotor engine that puts out just 135hp. But thanks to a sub-2600lb weight, the RX-7 will be a joy to fling through country roads.

You’ll need to win the “Getting Gnarly” Trial event to win the RX-7.

Forzathon Events

Forzathon looks at one of the greatest German rivalries of all time this week: the BMW M3 vs the Audi RS4. Choose either the 2005 M3 or the 2006 RS4 to get started.

Next show off the strength of your chosen weapon by earning a total of 12 stars from Speed Traps. Afterwards, head to the races and take victory in three Road Racing Series events.

Finally, demonstrate your skills by performing three Showoff Skills during races to wrap up the latest challenges.

Forzathon Shop

Big power is the main course for the shop lineup this week. Taking center stage is the graceful Aston Martin DBS Superleggera.

Replacing the formidable Vanquish, the DBS now sits on top as the most powerful grand tourer in Aston’s ranks. Underneath the sculpted styling lies a 5.2-liter, twin-turbocharged V12 that makes 715hp. The DBS won’t trouble hardcore supercars, but it will get you from one side of the UK to the other faster than you would think.

600 Forzathon Points is the price you’ll have to pay for the DBS, but you’ll be getting one of the ultimate cross-country cruise missiles in the process

Standing with the Aston is 1984 Peugeot 205 T16 Forza Edition. The standard 205 T16 was a wild homologation special in the peak of the Group B era. With a mid-engined layout, the 205 has a 1.8-liter turbocharged engine that makes 200hp. Putting that power to all four wheels meant serious performance. The Forza Edition comes with a wild Pikes Peak aero kit as well as a Skills boost.

The 205 is reasonably cheap at just 350 FP. If you’re after a rally-spec monster then the 205 is one of the best available.

Clothing items available this week are the Pumpkin Hat and the Skeleton Morph Suit.
