A new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges arrives this Friday, August 28, as your console clock ticks past midnight. As always, there’s five events on the slate, you’ve got seven days to work through them, and there’s bonus reward tickets on offer for checking them off.
If you’re new to the format, Weekly Challenges unlock once you’ve finished the GT Cafe career through Menu Book 39 and sat through the ending movie, serving as an endgame mode for players who’ve seen the credits roll. Each set comprises four races from the existing World Circuits roster plus a fifth “Special” event created just for the week, and finishing third or better in one, three, and five of them delivers bonus tickets to your Gifts (redeem them before they expire). All in, with race prizes and clean race bonuses, a full sweep is worth around 1.3m credits in cash and in-kind.
This Week’s Highlights
The Special Event slot goes to a one-make race this week, starring the newest member of the game’s British contingent: the Caterham Seven Superlight R500.
Added just last week in the 1.71 update, the featherweight track toy gets six laps of the Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit to stretch its legs, with 105,000cr for the win. If you haven’t picked one up yet, it’s a 75,000cr purchase in Brand Central, so victory here covers the cost of the car with change to spare.
It’s not the biggest prize of the week though. That honor goes to the World Touring Car 800 at Mount Panorama, a ten-lap race with a hard 800PP cap and racing tires required, paying out a headline 200,000cr.
The Bathurst circuit is a genuinely special place; we visited back in 2020 and found a world-famous racing landmark that doubles as an ordinary public road, private driveways and mailboxes included. Ten laps across the Mountain at this performance level is a fitting way to close out the set.
Elsewhere, Deep Forest Raceway hosts the Ferrari Circuit Challenge, six laps for anything wearing the prancing horse badge at 700PP or below, worth 90,000cr. And for the second week running there’s a race from the 1.71 update in the rotation, with the new Japanese FR Challenge 450 making its Weekly Challenges debut over two laps of Kyoto Driving Park’s Yamagiwa layout for 40,000cr.
That leaves the Japanese FF Challenge 450 at Sardegna’s Road Track C as the low point of the week at 25,000cr, though at three laps it’s also one of the quickest to tick off.

Gran Turismo 7 Power Pack Challenge – August 28 Rewards
Power Pack DLC owners once again have a second reward track running in parallel with the standard Weekly Challenges.
There’s no set list of races here: you just need to finish (not win) three events to claim the lot, and the rewards refresh on the same schedule as the main set. Once again, they’re a match for the standard completion tickets.
