Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges: Hold Your Chevaux

A new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges arrives this Friday, October 16, once your console clock ticks past midnight. As always, that means five events, seven days to clear them, and bonus tickets for finishing.

For the uninitiated, Weekly Challenges open up once you’ve finished the GT Cafe career through Menu Book 39 and sat through the ending movie. Every set pairs four standard World Circuits races with one Special Event, and the bonus tickets for one, three, and five completions arrive in your Gifts (redeem them before they expire). Factor in clean race bonuses and a full set is worth around 1.3m credits in cash and prizes.

This Week’s Highlights

This is the first batch of Weekly Challenges since the big 1.72 update landed on Thursday. It helps kick off GT7 Spec IV, and the set leans into the new content accordingly.

The Citroen 2CV 6 Charleston ’86, one of the six cars added in 1.72, headlines the special race as a three-lap one-make at Kyoto Driving Park Miyabi for 32,000cr. With the smallest reward of the week and not much more horsepower, don’t expect to set any speed records.

Sportsland Sugo also makes its Weekly Challenges debut. The European Sunday Cup 400 is one of the World Circuits races added alongside the track, and at three laps for European road cars and 42,000cr it’s a gentle introduction to the new circuit if you haven’t learned it yet.

Outside of the new content, there’s a three-lap race at Deep Forest Raceway Reverse for a field of S13, S14, and S15 Silvias (plus the 180SX and Sileighty), paying 45,000cr for the win.

The headline payout is at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, where the World Touring Car 800 runs 12 laps for cars up to 800PP on racing tires and pays 170,000cr. It’s also the one race this week with the multipliers turned up, with tire wear at 7x and fuel consumption at 10x. The World Rally Challenge Gr.B at Willow Springs Big Willow is the other long one, at ten laps for Gr.B cars on racing tires and a 65,000cr reward.

Gran Turismo 7 Power Pack Challenge – October 16 Rewards

Power Pack DLC owners get their parallel reward track again this week, running alongside the main set.

There’s no fixed list of races to work through. Finish (not win) any three events and the rewards are yours, and they refresh on the same schedule as the standard challenges. This week they don’t quite mirror the main set, though. The first two tiers match, but the three-race reward is a 500,000cr Credit Ticket rather than the roulette ticket.

Our original coverage of the GT7 Power Pack has the full rundown if you need a refresher on what’s inside.

  • 1 Race Completed: 100,000cr Credit Ticket
  • 2 Races Completed: 200,000cr Credit Ticket
  • 3 Races Completed: 500,000cr Credit Ticket

The set runs through midnight local time on Thursday, October 22, when the next batch of Weekly Challenges (and a fresh round of Power Pack rewards) arrives.
