A premature tweet from EA’s UK Twitter account has unveiled an interesting addition coming soon to NFS 2015’s roster – a hot rod!

The tweet was quickly removed but enough eager fans picked it up spurring a reply from Ghost Games’ very own Ben Walke. In the series of comments posted on the Need for Speed sub-reddit, Ben admits that the information wasn’t supposed to go out quite yet whilst confirming that a new update is coming and the hot rod isn’t the only piece of content that will be included. Ben did not comment further regarding when we would find out the information or what type of other content will be included, but its exciting to see how NFS looks to go outside the box with future updates for the game. So watch this space!

The drift mechanic still ruins the driving in this game. Even with the settings to grip it takes control away from you and tries to force drifts and won’t let you counter steer yourself, resulting in the game deciding when it wants to drift, when the drift is over and often driving you straight into buildings, barriers and oncoming traffic. It’s an absolute mess! Even Underground 1 & 2 had far better driving than this!

    Those minimum specs. Wow.

I mean, I like that they’re specifying 720p 30 fps at low settings for minimum and 1080p60 at high settings for recommended, but they’re also exposing what a completely unoptimized piece of garbage this port is on PC at the same time.

Hopefully see the specs before they waste their money. This could be another Arkham Knight

EA is not characterized to have optimal performance, usually their minimum requirements makes the game run like crap and asks for better hardware than their competition

I’m afraid I’ll have no space to put this new hot rod into my garage with only 5 slots in it. They should extend it first…

They already hinted quite a few times at bigger garage coming in replies on facebook and twitter. I hope it will be a part of this update because one of PR people said that this update is much more than one car and if we base our expectations just on this picture we will be pleasantly surprised.
