GTR 3’s 2019 Launch Teased on SimBin Studios Twitter

The end of the year festivities are in full force it would seem. With 2018 nearing its end, SimBin Studios has taken to Twitter to remind fans of the upcoming GTR 3 racing sim.

It wasn’t long ago that we last heard from the Liverpool-based studio. In fact, this past September the team took to Twitter to announce a slight change in the release schedule. Now planned for a Q2 2019 release, it looks as if SimBin wants to get the wheels turning again.

This all began in 2016 when the studio re-formed in North West England. While there was nothing concrete on the docket at the time, the intent was obvious. The good news continued the following year with the announcement that GTR would return with a third installment.

Soon after, things went mum until both the team and talks of the game resurfaced at Gamescom in 2018. With an 18-month lull out of the way, we learned GTR 3 would recreate the FIA World Endurance Championship. This reveal put things into perspective as it would be going toe-to-toe with another title, Assetto Corsa Competizione.

Its current release window places it alongside ACC as well. The only concern is we don’t know how far along the game is at the moment. While ACC is currently in Early Access through Steam on PC, we’ve yet to see GTR 3 in action.

2019 could be an interesting year for SimBin and GTR 3 and we’ll be there every step of the way. Keep an eye peeled for more on the game as it develops.
