Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV

Although it’s only been six weeks since Gran Turismo series creator Kazunori Yamauchi first, surprisingly, announced the Spec IV update for GT7, it’s felt like longer — but it is now finally here.

It’s felt like long wait since series creator Kazunori Yamauchi surprisingly announced the Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV update six weeks back, but the first part of it is now in sight with the update confirmed to arrive tomorrow, Thursday October 15.

Sugo Circuit made its public debut last weekend at the Gran Turismo World Series Round 3 in Singapore, a little over a week before it arrives in Gran Turismo 7 as the headline addition of the Spec IV Part 1 update on October 15. With the track playable at the venue over the weekend, a few more details have trickled out, including confirmation the circuit will support rainy weather conditions.

Polyphony Digital has revealed more about the upcoming “Part 1” of the split Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV update, including the date it will arrive: October 15.

The Gran Turismo World Series heads to Southeast Asia for the first time this weekend, with Round 3 taking over the Sands Theatre inside Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on Saturday, October 3. The Manufacturers Cup gets things started at 09:00 UTC, the Nations Cup follows at 12:00 UTC, and you can watch both streams right here.

As revealed in today’s PlayStation State of Play, Kazunori Yamauchi has announced the next major update for Gran Turismo 7: Spec IV. The update is so large it will arrive in two parts, this October and December.
