The EMEA Regional Finals of the FIA GT Sport Championship were held in Madrid last weekend, where Mikail Hizal — better known as TRL_LIGHTNING on PSN and here in our forums — beat the other top 30 drivers from across Europe in a dominating performance.

A very special event for racers of the digital world and real world alike will be taking place in Las Vegas this weekend. Ten of the fastest sim racers (who were decided from the ‘Road to Vegas’ championship) will hit the virtual asphalt along with 20 Formula E drivers all in an effort to obtain a piece of the $1,000,000 prize that is up for grabs in the Visa Vegas eRace.

Team Redline is one of the world’s most prominent online racing teams, founded all the way back in 2000. Today, it claims some of sim-racing and motorsport’s fastest drivers, including iRacing star Greger Huttu and Formula 1 pilot Max Verstappen.

Earlier this week, Team Redline talked with us about the exciting future of eSports and sim racing. The team has countless achievements to their name, stretching as far back as Grand Prix Legends, right up to present day iRacing championships. Today, we’re happy to be a part of the unveiling of their dedicated Gran Turismo team. Team principle Dom Duhan starts things off, while the new lineup collectively answered the rest of our questions.
