Gran Turismo at the 24 Hours of Le Mans

The Gran Turismo brand once again made a strong showing last weekend at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. Trackside banners could be seen all around Circuit de La Sarthe – most notably at the chicanes down the Mulsanne straight. Sony also continued their strong support of the Pescarolo Sport racing team’s Peugeot 908 LMP car, in the quickly-becoming-classic light blue/green/white livery that you probably remember from GT4. Polyphony Digital’s Citroen GT also made the rounds this year, (supposedly) doing a honorary lap around the circuit (still waiting on pictures of that) and appearing in a local driver’s parade.

gran turismo has already in the first chicane on the mulsanne straight sponsoring 3 or 4 years already…I think. the Citroen GT looks amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sucks to be turn 10 by now first Audi now Peugeot. They heavily brag about they got Audi Challange (Poor mans GT academy) then Le Mans, and saying Peugeot driver praise their game, because it has Le Mans look on it. Kinda funny how turn 10 trying to outshine Polyphony on motorsports. It’s like a ricer trying to beat a Bugatti Veyron. kinda funny.

I thought that was pretty funny when the Pescarolo Sport racing team for the Playstation rammed the Pescarolo for the Xbox pulling out of the pits and then watching the two crewchiefs arguing who was at fault. We should start a thread of those photos and have a contest of who can come up with the best line’s.

The fact that the gt name was all over the circuit and some of the cars is a good sign of being released soon, think it would be pointless to have it advertised if it wasnt

It was the Xbox pescorola pit crews fault, they should have warned the xbox pescorola driver before taking off that pit lane.

Just Bought a GT by Citroen on prologue. It sounds silent. I listen to it at Le mans on youtube. Sounds like an american v8. lol

That’s normal, in GT5 it’s a hybrid,
but in reality, there is an american V8 in it..
Probably too much costs to engineer a hydro citroen gt.

Just listened to the engine sound on you tube a minute ago and it sounds bloody horrible, it sounds like an old tug boat, by looking at the car u expect to hear somthing completly different

If memory serves me correctly, back when GT4 released, weren’t there GRAN TURISMO 4 banners? I know last year, there were PLAYSTATION 3 banners. This year they went back to standard PlayStation banners in the PlayStation Chicane. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t stick with the PS3 banners.

man, those gfx totally suck. I’m not seeing enough skid marks or tire deformation. And not of them showed damage or flipping. Real life sucks, I want an upgrade *lol*
