British Cops Pull Over Dodgy Driver, Find It’s Homer Simpson

Traffic cops in the odd British town of Milton Keynes were in for a bit of a surprise when they pulled over a suspect car. It turned out that they’d nabbed a superstar.

According to this tweet, When the Thames Valley Police Road Policing crew asked for documentation, the driver gave them this license:

Simpson, 39, has a checkered driving history. Along with crashing his own car several times, he’s participated in a car insurance scam with bartender Morris “Moe” Szyslak. The state of New York considers him wanted, for unpaid parking fines, theft of a wheel clamp and damage to city streets.

He’s driven drunk — while actually drinking — and has fallen asleep behind the wheel. This didn’t stop him from a short career as a long-distance truck driver.

Finding such a menace is a bit of a coup for the TVP then. The only wrinkle here is that this driver isn’t Homer Simpson.

It may amaze you to learn that this driving license is, in fact, a fake. Among other giveaway details is the wrong address: Simpson actually lives at 742 Evergreen Terrace, in Springfield, [redacted]. Also he isn’t real. Sorry.

Unsurprisingly, the traffic cops also discovered “Homer Simpson” had no insurance. After booking him for the two offenses, they also confiscated his car.

All together now: D’oh!
