Year 3 of The Crew Motorfest officially kicks off with Season 8 this November, and is packed with content for players to discover. However, that’s just the beginning of what looks to be a very promising third year for the open-world racer, as the subsequent Season 9 promises to be the “most ambitious season ever released”.
Ubisoft revealed what’s to come when Year 3 gets underway as part of The Crew Showcase, presenting both the initial Season 8 update and the follow-up Season 9 that arrives in March 2026 in one big lump. There’s a lot to get through, so read on for more!

The Crew Motorfest Season 8: New Vehicles
Probably the headline act for the new vehicles in Y3’s first season is the addition of BMW alongside a themed playlist that goes live on January 7, 2026.
This will delve into the Bavarian brand’s history, and will feature the video game debut of the roadgoing G87 M2 CS. This isn’t the first time a vehicle made its virtual debut in The Crew Motorfest as the Ferrari F80 did so this past July.
Players can also expect to get behind the wheel of the BMW 3.0 CSL, M Hybrid V8 LMDh, G82 M4 CSL, among other new additions to the brand. To celebrate the launch of Year 3, all players that log in to the game between October 16 and 19 until 4PM UTC will be able to claim the previous-gen 2017 BMW M2 CS for free and add it to their garage.

In addition to the new Bimmers showing up, there’s more new cars coming to the game courtesy of the Year 3 Pass, giving players early access to 20 new rides from November until October 2026. Players who don’t opt for the pass will still be able to get behind the wheel, just one week later and using in-game currency to add them to their collections.
Pass holders will get immediate access to the Ferrari 12Cilindri, 2026 Zenvo Aurora Agil, 2000 BMW M3 and 2023 Mercedes-AMG GT beginning on November 5. December will see the inclusion of the track-focused Pagani Imola, and moving into the new year will see the aforementioned BMW M Hybrid V8 LMDh dropping in January, alongside the 1982 Volkswagen Golf GTI 1800.
February will bring the 2004 Ford Shelby GR-1 Concept, which should be especially fun as concept cars — let alone older models — are a rare breed these days. As an added bonus, those that already own either the Year 1 or 2 Passes will receive the Cadillac Ciel Concept when purchasing the Year 3 Pass.

The Crew Motorfest Season 8: New Customization Options
Season 8 will also see the introduction of one of the most requested features for the series, the ability to adjust the vehicle’s stance. Players will now be able to fine-tune the look of their ride with ride height, wheel camber and offset adjustments. Moreover, licensed wheels make their debut in the game and will give players an even bigger canvas to make their rides their own.
Featuring such brands as OZ Racing, HRE Performance Wheels and BBS Motorsport, players will be able to customize the color and material finish of the wheels as well. The expanded customization can be applied to a number of vehicles in the Street, Drift, and Hypercar classes in the game — and yes, that even includes Ferrari.

The Crew Motorfest Season 8: New Playlists
When Year 3 of the open-world racer begins next month, it will focus on the “raw energy” of street racing culture. Players will have two all-new playlists to keep themselves racing fast and furiously. The first of which, “Street Riders”, will go live the day of and will see the return of Weasel, a character players first met in Season 4’s “Donk vs Lowrider” playlist.
In what feels like a page out of Need For Speed: Underground’s playbook, players will join a gang of street racers calling themselves ‘The Monkey’s Kitchen’, and will race in eight no-holds-barred events, all the while extensively kitting out an E46-generation BMW M3.

Helping the playlist to stand out further are Monkey’s Bet and Free Race. Monkey’s Bet will give players the option of accepting additional challenges, such as driving without any assists, racing only using the dashboard cam, or disabling nitrous boosts. The betting system raises the stakes, allowing players to earn better rewards before each event.
Free Race will see players ripping up the streets with no set path or even an active GPS — just a frantic checkpoint race to the finish line as quickly (and efficiently) as possible. We can easily see this becoming one of the more popular event types as it’s a callback to classic arcade racers.
The BMW-themed playlist will follow in January, and see players “dive into the brand’s DNA through exclusive events”. We’ll find out more about this in due course, but color us curious…

The Crew Motorfest Season 8: Other Changes
Also included in the new season is the all-new Friends Pass, allowing Motorfest players to invite up to three friends per session to race alongside them through the trial version of the game. However, unlike the trial version of the game that offers a paltry five hours of access to everything TCM has to offer, the Friends Pass has no such limitation.
As of the update next month, TCM will also be fully verified on the Steam Deck, offering a more optimized experience for those looking to continue the action on-the-go.

The Crew Motorfest Season 9: TrackForge
However it’s March’s Season 9 update where TCM is coming on strong with two significant changes, starting with TrackForge.
As the name might suggest, the all-new TrackForge is a track creation tool that will allow players to create and race on their own creations, or share them with the wider community.
This is essentially TCM’s answer to Forza Horizon 5’s EventLab, and will even show off its full potential on a dedicated island that’s been created with the explicit purpose of hosting player creations (just like EventLab Island!) — though it seems like there’ll also be existing routes to try out too.

TrackForge is designed to be the most powerful tool the team have ever built, and as such will give players the ability to create anything their minds can conjure, from the wildest tracks possible, to recreating real-world venues.
It’s a feature we can’t wait to put through its paces, as very few things add to the longevity of a racing game quite like a track creator does.

The Crew Motorfest Season 9: NASCAR
You wait months for a new island, and then two come along at once with a new, exclusive partnership with NASCAR that not only brings a dedicated playlist but a selection of machines from the series as well.
To capture what NASCAR brings to the table, the team has reworked the game’s physics and what Ivory Tower refers to as the “3Cs” — camera, controls and character — to deliver an experience that feels true to the sport without straying from the “spirit” of Motorfest.
It doesn’t end there as players will have access to a second, new island at the start of the season that will blend the competitive aspects of NASCAR with more “playful” designs, and will include a full NASCAR stadium.

The Crew Motorfest Season 9: RC Cars
Finally, there’s the addition of RC Cars that will make way midway through Season 9. No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you: radio-controlled cars are coming to Motorfest, and will be roughly one-third the size of the vehicles currently available in the game.
The machines will feature their own dedicated physics and handling models, and will even include the electric whirr from its battery-powered motor. As seen in the showcase video, the RC vehicles will feature not only a cockpit view but a miniature robotic driver as well.
Once available, the vehicles will come with a dedicated playlist to show off what they bring to the table, offering a fresh way to explore the game’s world.

We’ll have to wait a while to find out more about some of the features above, as well as a “TBC” placeholder on Season 10 to begin in July 2026, but it’s safe to say that Ivory Tower is still pressing on with Motorfest — and perhaps even into a Year 4.
Nonetheless, there’s plenty more still to come, so stay tuned for more!
