A new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges arrives this Friday, August 14, as your console clock rolls past midnight into the weekend. Five events are live for the next seven days, along with the usual run of bonus tickets for anyone who clears them.
If you’re new to the format, Weekly Challenges unlock once you’ve completed the GT Cafe career through Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie. Each set pairs four standard World Circuits races with one Special Event, and clearing them earns bonus tickets at one, three, and five completions. Those land in your Gifts and need to be redeemed before the set expires. Work through the whole batch with clean race bonuses intact and there’s roughly 1.3m credits in cash and prizes on offer.
This Week’s Highlights
The Special Event is a one-make race this week, and it’s becoming a familiar face.
Gran Turismo 7 sends the Yangwang U9 ’24 around Grand Valley – Highway 1 for five laps, a stretch of coastline modeled after California’s Pacific Coast Highway that suits the U9 nicely. It’s the BYD-built electric hyper-car’s third Weekly Challenge Special Event appearance since arriving in GT7’s April 1.69 update, after a two-lap run at Le Mans in May and a six-lap outing at Fuji Speedway in July. The U9 still packs 1,270hp from four in-wheel motors and a suspension system that can jump the car off the road, and this week’s win nets 95,000cr.
That 95,000cr payout is matched almost exactly elsewhere on the list. The Race of Turbo Sports Cars at Watkins Glen Long Course pays the same 95,000cr for a five-lap run, restricted to turbocharged cars at 700PP or less.
The challenge, though, is the World Touring Car 600 finale at Tokyo Expressway – East Clockwise: 550,000cr for 12 laps under a 600PP cap with nitrous prohibited, and tire wear cranked all the way to 12x alongside 3x fuel consumption to keep pit strategy in play.
The Japanese 4WD Challenge 600 opens the week at Kyoto Driving Park – Yamagiwa with a quick two-lap run for professionally tuned 4WD Japanese road cars, worth 20,000cr. The Sunday Cup at Northern Isle Speedway is the low point of the set at just 5,000cr for the win, though at five laps it will at least be over quick.

Power Pack DLC owners have a second reward track running alongside the standard Weekly Challenges. The races inside the pack stay the same from week to week, but the rewards for clearing them refresh on the same schedule as the main event set.
